Julia Wicker for headcanons?

Headcanon A:  realistic — before showing her magic tricks to Quentin she first showed her sister Mackenzie them and she scoffed at them since Julia’s family is very Perfection and Academia Above All (or at least her sister and mother), so I think Quentin not only enjoying it when she showed him but wanting to learn and compete to keep up with her really cemented him as a safe space for her outside of that * a person she could be inquisitive and intelectural with w/o the Perfection mentality.

Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious — don’t think this is that unrealistic but I think there were some Vibes between her and Kady’s mom when they were doing their illicit trying to make their own club without Marina thing and yk, Julia doing magic with other women in the show always very gay.

Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends — post Quentin’s death I think one of her worst coping habits is to sometimes pretend to be him on nerdy cites like D&D campaigns and the like, that also lines up well with her internet addiction as coping mechanism issue in the books which is still alluded to in s1.

Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own. — There is no way she and Penny-23 last long term once the series is over, even if I’m being held at gunpoint and made to say Julia isn’t a lesbian they Suck together.

(Late) Day Three: favorite season 2 episode/favorite season 2 plotline

2x09, Three Ghosts has got to be one of my favorite episodes in season 2. Not only because it’s the second first episode Barry’s in Arrow, but also just. Oliver hallucinating Tommy and Shado, Slade showing up in the bunker, being haunted by the people he’s failed to save from what we’ve seen so far. He hallucinated Shado and she told him if he really wanted to honor her and her father’s memory, he should put down the bow because some part of him believes that she’d be disappointed with what he’s been doing since he got back and how he blames himself for her and Tommy’s death.

Also Tommy later in the episode where he basically tells him “get the fuck up” while also simultaneously haunting his ass because he is, in fact, freshly dead and his death was super traumatic to everyone involved. To me: This episode was about the three people who haunt him the most (from what has been revealed at that point in the show) and he’ll always have something haunting at him, gnawing at him from the inside. At least to me.

Unthinkable 10 Years Day 1 - Memory

now, i wasn't a fan of the show when unthinkable aired, but once i got to it in my arrowverse binge of 2020? it felt insane, electrifying. this was around the time the arrowverse started taking me over completely, and unthinkable definitely helped with that. the nyssara, the start of thea's training arc, that olicity, that lauriver, the way oliver so desperately wants to keep his no-kill code when almost everyone is agreeing he shouldn't because he made a promise. it's a gorgeous episode all around, the character arcs- corruption and redemption alike- were so beautiful. UGHHHHHH it's a thrilling episode

hmm Kady/Alice and/or Julia/Alice for the makes sense/compels me thing?

Alice/Julia: I really like them they’re def compelling to me <3 I mean two chars I love and relate to who have very interesting parallels and anti parallels, and I enjoyed their interactions in s3 and late s2 shadeless. There’s not enough content of them in the show for me to rank it higher but I’d say it’s one of my favorite pairings to read fic for (largely because I trust those writing it to actually care about both of these chars. Imagine that.) Also the ship name is perfect, I had my problems with TM fandom but I will say they had really good ship names esp compared to some of my other fandoms..

Alice/Kady: mm I like this ship but I’m more passive about it. Their s4 storyline is compelling to me and the design of the ship appeals to me I like a repressed nerd x bad girl ship as much as anyone (although I prefer Malice as this), but I do think it got popular real fast largely because of fans being desperate to pair Alice with someone who wasn’t Q when s4 was on (I don’t like her with Quentin either I’m not against their agenda just. suspicious when there was little interaction with other facets of her story and other dynamics like Margo Julia Penny that were more interesting to me). It was a bright spot of the last couple seasons in some ways though… even though my being less interested in those seasons overall also limits my attachment. It is a ship I find more compelling as one side of an ot3 than on it’s own in particular Penny-Kady-Alice stuff does tend to go off. So basically they compel me but are on the fence.

All Olicity fics. All from my bookmarks. I don’t have a lot of season two Olicity/arrow in general fics so disclaimer that a lot of these are by the same (wonderful) author. I ran out of commentary towards the end but these are all amazing fics!!

Of Green Blankets and Office Naps by imfallingforyoureyes102.

Summary:

When Moira Queen goes to drop off some documents in Oliver’s office, she happens upon a certain blonde unknowingly chattering away to a sleeping Oliver and watches in fascination at the almost domestic way Felicity pries off his shoes and gently pulls off the tie from around his neck.

(Or, a very tired Oliver falls asleep in his office, Felicity makes him comfortable when he refuses to wake up, and Moira watches in awe as the computer genius dances around the office, closing the blinds and shutting down his computer, without so much as a grunt from the man that can never seem to sleep in the presence of anyone else.)

This one unfortunately, isn’t surrounding the unspeakable episode but it is still so amazing that I couldn’t NOT add it in context. I love LOVE fics that are from the outsiders perspective of Olicity, especially early season and from the people closest to them both! I love how Moira is written in this! And how the writer captured Olicity’s dynamic pre-relationship/confession! It’s such a cute fic!

Set right after season two Felicity lets Oliver crash on her couch because the queen mansion/inheritance isn’t his anymore and he’s unemployed. I love the opening scene being Felicity waking Oliver up from a nightmare. His thought process is so well written!!!! I love how the writer writes Felicity’s commitment issues as well, not a lot of people do that. Also Walter calling to offer them a job at his company is so funny afjkgfc

Set in season 2 in Sara’s POV - Sara deals with Laurel in the aftermath of Slade Wilson. Laurel makes a play for Oliver’s heart while Sara silently ships Olicity. But then again Sara was never that great at being completely silent.

Sara being an Olicity shipper and somehow (a little) more emotionally healthy than Oliver is an amazing combo. I love Canarrow but it’s really nice to see Sara and Oliver being friends. This is so nice!!

Tagged by @wilsonthemoose to make a Supernatural Seasons Tier List and it was a lot harder to do than I thought

Here’s my thinking…

Seasons 1 and 2: My love, my life, the blood that runs through my veins. Truly peak Supernatural

Seasons 4, 5, and 7: Consistently good episodes with lots of Sam suffering (crack to me). Worthy of rewatching for sure.

Seasons 3, 6, 8: Some good episodes mixed with some meh. All had plot lines that I enjoyed but also had things that I felt just dragged the whole thing down.

Seasons 12 and 13: Okay they literally fought the fucking British in season 12 and I can barely even remember season 13. However each has a few redeemable episodes.

Seasons 9, 10, 14, and 15: I feel like seasons 9 and 10 are self explanatory tbh. I simply just hated the demon Dean/MoC plot lines. In 14 I was forced against my will to see Dean wear a stupid hat and also the fight scene at the end was so embarrassing that it caused me actual psychological damage. Now 15, they literally fought actual fucking God. Idk it just feels stupid to me.

Season 11: I watched season 11 at such a weird time in my life that it honestly feels like a fever dream to me. Idk??? A+ for Sam trauma D- for whatever the fuck was going on with God’s sister
