Hello, I'm starting a collection of lobby cards from films of the 90's. I was wondering how lobby cards were typically sent to the theaters. Were they sent in envelopes ? If so, what kind of envelope ? Plain paper envelopes ? With markings ? That seems to be the case in Europe but I don't see any in the US when I buy on eBay. Any help would be appreciated ! Thank you!

Yes, typically, they were sent in envelopes as illustrated below. But just like in France for example it could be in an envelope that looked very similar to those below, or a brown envelope with just the title of the movie and the number of photos (I have posted plenty) or even in glassine envelopes without any markings. I hope this answers your question.

Howdy! I know you haven't been on in about 4 years, and have posted what seems to be every lobby card ever!!

But I just wanted to still stop and say thanks!! I've gotten really into lobby cards, and character cards recently, having found more characterized lobby cards for such films as "Young Guns" and "Bill and Ted's Exallant Adventure" with how they're more blind packed collecter cards with descriptions and sceans of the characters/facts about them.

I'm not sure if Lobby cards are like that, I'm assuming they were diffrent maybe? Or maybe I'm horribly wrong who knows! You probably, you seem an expert!!

But anyway, I just love your little blog! I'm real bitter about how lobby cards aren't a thing anymore, because it would be really cool and fun if they were! All the modern films that could use them....or newer ones, even older films that could have used them would have been amazing!

I'd kill for a Lost Boys themed card, but as far as I know none were made for that film.

Again tho, thanks for just having the blog up and around it makes me so happy and I think they're so so cool!!! 💐💖💖💖💐🎉

Awww! Good to be back,thank you. Fortunately I haven't posted every lobby card ever. It's an impossible task. But despite the more than 28,000 that I have already posted, there's plenty more where it came from.

I agree that it's a shame that lobby cards aren't a thing anymore and that's why I create my own at @fakelobbycards

As for The Lost Boys, If you are referring to the 1987 Joel Schumacher movie, I have posted the US set. I realize I improperly tagged one card at the time and it can be found here. I don't appear to be able to fix it on mobile so I'll have to see what I can do once in front of a computer. (Fixed)
