I'm already thinking up fics (specifically for scp- 049) and stuff and I'm in the process of designing an oc for the SCP foundation!!! Because happy chemicals in brain go brrrr

I made a picrew of her! Idk it's a work in progress...so far she's still a concept to be polished...

But what I have so far :

Basically atm she's smol, mischievous, hyper positive, playful, extroverted, loud, 20-21 years old, not quite sure what her calling is in the foundation so she's looking for a mentor!

(I can't decide what she should go into! Medical, Research, Site Staff, Containment Specialist, Researcher, Security Officer, Tactical Response Officer, field Personnel, Field Agent, Mobile Task Force Operative)

Can't think of a name yet 😅

So I'll be thinking if potential names but I'm also open to suggestions by you or anyone reading this!

And I'd be so grateful if you or anyone could suggest who would be a good mentor to her!

Idk I'm vaguely looking at Dr. Simon Glass in Psychology but also idk Medical is tugging at me because I sincerely don't know why...but also Containment Specialist or Feild agent...

This is my first post (yay) I'm most likely not going to put any effort into my posts, they'll just be thoughts and such.

I was making character but I was finding it difficult to think of a story for them. I have a few story ideas that center around a couple of characters, so I thought that was what I was going to do with this one. But I couldn't think of a story, just little moments. But then I realised not long ago (like ten minutes) that I didn't need to have a whole book planned just to make an oc. The character is a vampire btw, I got random inspiration one night.

I've even started writing one of my stories (woo), too bad I'll stop writing about in a month or so.

When redesigning a character how much can change before it's no longer a redesign and just a replaced character?

Okay, so it's the whole thing about the boat and stuff, right? (If you replace every part of a boat is it still the same boat?)

I think a redesign is redoing the design process, which means at the end the character could literally be a new character. So... is this still considered a redesign? Is there a better word people should be using? A better word I should be using?

Right now, I feel that the term "redesign" can mean to have minimal changes or a complete overhaul of the physical design, backstory, and/or personality.

Thoughts, anyone?

I am actually so serious I think it really messes with a childs creativity and joy to tell them to never make a mary sue OC. Like that unbridaled form of joy where you make a self insert OC who super cool and everyone loves them and they have every superpower in the world SHOULD be something a kid makes, it nourishes their ability to create things for fun and not be stifled by "oh but what if my character is too overpowered and cringey...". whatever
