I have a resolution to explore more of my regional literature in my mother tongue (Malayalam) and not succumb to the translated versions. I read the books in Malayalam at a slower pace and sometimes it takes me a while to understand them especially if the language is difficult. This year I hope to read at least six books and I have read two (Premalekhanam by Basheer and Nalinakaanti by Padmanabhan (reread) in case someone was wondering). The book shown in the picture, Randaamoozham, is much acclaimed but I found it a bit difficult for my level of understanding and abandoned the idea.
