I got inspired by the mamagi posts by @nguyenfinity but unfortunately I am on a tragedy bend with my writing ideas so I had to make it sad (just a story idea under the cut not any actual writing)

i had an idea for just a little like. drabble of rinne having a little shrine to her in niki's apartment that niki only finds like two or three years down the road (but still pre !! Main story) which has some offerings to her and theres like a specific day each year rinne just fucks off all day and niki cant find him and at first he's like. well rinne's out of my hair idc where he is but niki's a smart guy and connects the dots and is like. oh. oh oh that's why he leaves for a day and a half every year when he finds the little shrine tucked away in a shoebox or smth.

niki takes so long looking for rinne bc he's like. realistically she (mamagi) wont be buried in the city but also he's not just going back to his village right? and takes forever to find him bc rinne is also not at any of the pachinko parlors and it takes like. All fucking day before Niki has like. A realization and goes out to the edge of town and then some and there's Rinne sitting by a tree and he looks sad and lonely but hes asleep bc hes been there all day probably hasnt eaten anything and Niki just comes up to him and wiggles under his arm and is like. Wanna talk about it? To a drowsy rinne who says no but appreciates the gesture and they just stay like that for the rest of the night.

Maybe like the year before the main story rinne finally tells him abt his mom and they have a little moment together thats just basking in each other's presence and inviting ghost mamagi to be with them or smth

Every once in a while I think about mamagi (amagis' mother). How did she die... it doesn't sound natural considering she died when hiiro was an infant. Do you think rinne would've been a little more understood if his mother was still alive... sorry I just. I think her about her :(

My guess is she died due to health complications that started after hiiro was born and just got worse. There are many things that could lead to someone dying relatively young, but i think it being related to hiiro's birth would add to the. Ah i cant think of a right word. Disregard? It adds another layer to the way he was treated differently from rinne in the village, besides birth order and their roles in the chief family.

I'm not particularly working on a specific story/era atm but here's some ideas! Some might become canon to the AU, some might not

- Rinne and Hiiro's mother is alive, and is why they were able to go to Yumenosaki to begin with (inspired by @/nguyenfinity's mamagi)

- Sora initially redebuts as part of Valkyrie alongside Mayoi and Tsumugi. His role was always temporary. He leaves Valk sometime in the later half of the ! year when "Hinata" (Yuuta) returns to restart Ra*bits

- Aira vaguely knows about the whole Eccentrics thing and what happened with Hinata. Sora and Yuuta are determined to not tell anyone about Hinata's actual condition

- Ibara ends up as part of Crazy:B because of some sort of plan that he attempted but backfired horribly and ended up with him as an "underachiever". He was essentially given the choice between being part of Crazy:B or being kicked out of CosPro

- Kuro, Wataru, and Shu were childhood friends (!! era drama fuel lmao)

- Eichi attempts a revolution in Reimei. Rei didn't agree with it, but his experience in the mess that was the War at Yumenosaki helped him make it so that this one doesn't end up as horribly. It works out (more or less)

- Eichi and Rei sissy fought over the leadership position over Eden. Rei won, but Eichi is the leader of Eve

- Tatsumi gives up leadership of Fine to Shu

i would LOVE Essex UR retro that gives her jet craft, actually. i think she deserves it

and for the next UR, i wanna see Amagi II for two reasons: 1. the salt of the community would be entertaining to watch. 2. mamagi. i think her making a comeback in the lore would make things go smoothly for the Sakura that said, i think it's either going to be a smol daughter like Shimakaze or just Yamato herself

Okay back to rinniki (still thinking about mamagi though. the girlboss ever.)

Rinniki date where niki cooks a whole bunch of food (rinne helps by like. cutting things I guess ygsdhgxdgxg) and then they eat it as they watch movies. I just think these two would have a lot of dates at home instead of going out (mainly because they'd just go to a restaurant for niki)

However this does link to my thought of them going to an amusement park for a date although I have yet any ability to elaborate on it

I just think. If Mamagi was alive she’d be going to her sons’ lives and maybe adopting their entire units

As for Rinniki those two are so painfully domestic that it’s just second nature to them methinks

It’s probably a weekly date night for them (if they’re not busy with idol or work stuff)

I’d also like to think they watch cooking shows sometimes except whenever they do, 90% of it is just Niki commentating (they watch the Japanese episode of Great British Baking Show and he is in tears. Inconsolable)

Niki would probably just be going for the food (and probably a petting zoo if they have one) because walking around all day and going on rides actually does take a loooot of energy
