I'm leaving for a week in a couple of days inshaAllah, so I'm trying to cook up all the vegs and store them in the freezer. Hello folks. Here is my top four tips to create the perfect mandala 1. Make sure you get your grid down perfectly. It is tricky but can be done. The grid is the backbone to your mandala, so get it right. Keep your pencils sharp and work slowly. 2. Plan out your mandala. Map out exactly what you want on each circle. You can draw the entire thing in pencil first , or just draw one segment of each step only. When you are all done, then you go back and ink. I do this mostly when I am doing a commissioned work. 3. Speed. I cannot stress this enough. When inking, go slow. Dont let all the #hyperlapses you see on IG fool you. Those are there to show you 10 hours of work squeezed in 1 minute. Draw slowly!! 4. When you're adding color, never just wing it. Find out what colors work harmoniously together. Even if you have to make a copy of your mandala and do some rough coloring, go ahead and do that. I figure out my color palette digitally, and then use the same colours on my paper. . Hope you enjoyed these tips. Let me know what else you would like to know in the comments below. . What do you think of the end result? • Today we had an emotional afternoon. I was talking about age with my two boys and explaining to them how they turn a year older every time the Earth completes a revolution. And then the topic turned to old age and death. And then on to the afterlife and Paradise. My 6 year old son was fine at first, later while alone he was all like, " I dont want to leave you guys, i dont want to die and leave home . "😔 • We have had this talk before, and he was always ok with it. Probably he's growing up and understanding better now, so he's feeling it more. I comforted him and had another talk and made him feel safe, and slowly diverted the subject onto other things. Anyway, from now its become a very tricky subject. • How do you deal or have dealt with such situations. Now first of all, I am not saying either is wrong or right. This isnt a do and dont thing. I am just expressing what I think. I feel if you leave a layer of white between your layers, it gives a much more clean look to your mandala. A less cluttered look 🤷🏻‍♀️ as opposed to just drawing layer upon layer of just patterns. - Now you tell me. Which do you prefer. It's that time of the week again. Tutorial time. So tell me should I take it to the next level? Or should I take it down a level and make it even more simpler? I'm not sure. Urgh the frustration. I wrote up a really nice caption and saved it in the draft. . . .And I come back to it, aaaaand it's gone. And now I can't even remember what I wrote. 😢😢 • Anyway hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoy making them. I have started numbering them, so this one is leaf 3 (the previous 2 being 1 and 2 even though they weren't numbered.) I numbered them so that you won't get confused about if you already saw or tried it out. These patterns don't really have any names as such, I'm going to name them as I go. .
