My recap:
Surprisingly nice full answers compared to when in North America. Just open and chatty!
And all of them so eloquent and respectful to the Swedish reporters asking about the impact of Borje & Sundin in Toronto
Fun facts:
Gio had his 1st nhl goal playing against the Leafs in the same game Mats Sundin scored his 500th goal🥹
NHLPA welcome reception earlier in the trip; Mo was very excited he got to meet former Canucks captain Markus Näslund! Since he grew up a canucks fan in Vancouver
Max was asked if he knew Willy growing up "he told me that we played against each other but i don't remember" 🥹bebes willy & max
Mo's heard there's a kid in attendance there who was named after him but hasn't met them yet
Willy's player of the game gift:
Its a watch
Willy didn't open it in the dressing room right after the game so gio & mo didn't know what the gift was
Aus knew what it was (so he must've hung out w willy later that night?). Said willy and other leafies are collectors, have nice watch collections, "nice to get a freebie"
The trip:
Its a fun trip bc they're in the same hotel for a full week unlike roadies where they just go in and out of diff hotels; team bonding, dinners
Willy has really taken it upon himself to make sure his teammates get the most out of Sweden, where to eat, etc
Neck guards:
Only gio & aus asked about neck guards by one Swedish reporter
Gio open to trying one, will wear if comfy
Aus "personal preference"; "it's important to take precautions"
Both very respectful in answering
Keefer on the 1st game:
Wasn't surprised they started slow. Plan was to just survive 1st period 😂 bc wings had already had a game under their belt
Felt that their own game got better as it went on and wings game got worse
Expectation is that they'll be better from start for game 2 (yes we all wish for magic, sheldon)
Too Many Men on the ice penalty: he doesn't believe the one in game 1 was a good call so they're not going to worry about it. He will address the other penalties with the players. "You can ask me this question again later when we really get a Too Many Men call" THIS MAN. THE SNARK. I LOVE HIM.
Remaining trip schedule:
Won't be attending the wilds/sens game to check out the wild (video will do)
They'll all enjoy their last day in Sweden
Then practice tmr morn. Then game. Then flight home right after.
IR:
A lot of questions about Klingberg (i get it, he's Swedish). I... honestly did not care. Alls i get is that he's really injured and out
Thank you everyone who took part in the poll, please enjoy what you've caused
Moth couldn't hear Maples screams and crying as she writhed and struggled in his arms past the ringing in his ears as he held her back. He stared forward without really looking as blood began to stain and trickle into the soft yellow curls of his familial sister.
"I'm sorry"
Her voice echoed in his head and no doubt in Maples as the blood continued to trickle, fur darkening as her head and body turned slowly to look back at them careful for the crystals lodged into her neck.
"Please run"
The dark hues creeped into her sclera and he saw the light fading from her pupils. He squeezed Maple closer and teleported away as the body of Rosy lurched forward in attack.

She is... strange. I suppose I should not be surprised that all humans are not loathsome, but to see it firsthand makes me... deeply uncomfortable. Are there more humans we have not seen who wish to ally with us? Were they hunted by their own kind?
I only find humans more loathsome if so. The one thing you can count on a monster for is to find loyalty. Though... admittedly, some yokai did hunt their own back home. Agh. I wish to ponder it no longer.

This woman is in desperate need for medical attention, human or not. Sure, she could try to stab me, but I'm sure she's much more inclined to pass out rather than wield a dagger. It'll be a pain and a half to convince the head healer to let this slide, but... ugh, I'll think of something.
