This black and white photograph shows a group of marines walking along a dirt path.  Four are holding bamboo sticks supporting a little carrying an injured Vietnamese civilian.  A Vietnamese boy walks at the front of the litter.  Another Vietnamese child in a large straw hat walks behind it.  A third child walks off to the left of the group.  The marines are dressed in combat fatigues and most wear helmets.  The surrounding landscape is barren.

Galactus is Born!

Not much actually happens, but the ideas on display are fantastic! As is the art.

Thor saves Recorder 211 from deactivation, then returns to Asgard to view (with Odin) events surrounding the birth of Galactus.

It’s almost like fan service. First, Thor stands up for his buddy, and the Rigellians put up no resistance. This is the last we see of Recorder 211 for a while. He’ll be back in the pages of WARLOCK and INCREDIBLE HULK in four years. Then, in eight years, he’ll return to THOR for another arc.

Then, a lot of questions we have about Galactus are answered. This section, even though it’s just the Asgardians viewing the distant past, is epic.

Schweickart, lunar module pilot, stands in 'golden slippers' on the Lunar Module porch during his extravehicular activity on the fourth day of the Apollo 9 Earth-orbital mission. This photograph was taken from inside the Lunar Module 'Spider'. The Command and Service Modules were docked to the LM. Schweickart is wearing an Extravehicular Mobility Unit (EMU). Inside the "Spider" was astronaut James A. McDivitt, Apollo 9 crew commander. Astronaut David R. Scott, command module pilot, remained at the controls of the Command Module, 'Gumdrop.'"
