First screenshots from Gloria!, first upcoming fiilm co–written and directed by Margherita Vicario. It will premiere on February 2024 and is pending for the Golden Bear of the 74th Berlin International Film Festival.

It is late 18th century in Venice, and in a convent school for girls Teresa, a girl with prophetic gifts, joins forces with some amazing music-makers. They create a new kind of music that is pop, bright and bold, and challenge the ancient and rigid system.

In the past few months, life has been an intricate web of emotions, filled with moments of joy and challenges that have shaped my resilience.

It's been a challenging period, and there's a certain incident that left me feeling hurt and vulnerable. It's as if I became a toy that someone played with when it was convenient for them, and then discarded when they were done.

I felt alone and used.

During this period, I found myself grappling with feelings of disappointment and hurt. The hurt was not inflicted through a single, dramatic event but rather through a series of small actions, comments, and gestures that accumulated over time. It was as if each incident was a tiny cut, almost imperceptible at first, but gradually they began to sting.

As the days turned into weeks and then months, I found myself drifting away, trying to protect my vulnerable heart from further pain.

But despite the hurt, I refused to let myself be defined by this experience.

With time, the hurt began to transform into a lesson—a reminder of the importance of open communication, empathy, and understanding in any relationship.

I realized that it's okay to acknowledge the pain, to give myself permission to feel it, and to let go of any guilt associated with moving on.

I cannot suffocate these emotions, no matter how painful they are. It's going to take a long time before those cuts will begin to heal.

It's ok to feel sad. It's ok to cry. It's ok to feel pain

I won't surrender. I can't surrender.

These last months have been mentally challenging and undeniably stressful for me. I'm almost emotionally drained. To cheer myself up I sketched this little thing about Ghiaccio and my Oc, Baylis. This drawing is full of mistakes but I cannot care less right now.

I titled it "Romeo" cause' that's the name of the song by Margherita Vicario that recently inspired me when I was writing notes about their possible relationship.

The song depicts everything that shouldn't be part of an healthy relationship, revisiting the story of Romeo and Juliet. So I thought it would fit perfectly with a violent gangster.
