BOVE-EXPAT im Kunstraum Düsseldorf

SONDERBOVE am 5.7.2018 um 20 Uhr (Führung mit Armin Hartenstein, eine “Klangstudie” von Swen Buckner und einem Gespräch)

Vor 5 Jahren begann Armin Hartenstein in Düsseldorf mit dem Bau der Architekturskulptur „BOVE“. In konspirativen künstlerischen Kollaborationen entstanden in und um dieses Gebilde einzigartige Installationen, Bild-, Text- und Audiokunstwerke. „BOVE-EXPAT“ bringt jetzt alle Beteiligten  zusammen. Im Zentrum  das Gehäuse des abwesenden Namengebers: Bove.

Die Architekturskulptur 3/4BOVE ist die Innenraumabformung des Ortes der Geschehen in Düsseldorf-Flingern. Im Kunstraum Düsseldorf sind nun in  einem Parcours von hell zu dunkel, teils neugeschaffene Werke zu erleben, die sich auf die jeweilige „BOVE“-Ausstellung beziehen, oder Ideen und Formen weiterführen. Architektonische Merkmale des Raumes „BOVE“ (Grundfläche, modellhafte und virtuelle Installationen, Korridor und Restraum) erscheinen an wesentlichen Orten in der Ausstellungshalle, die in ihrer Gesamtheit als Installation behandelt wird.

Von allen teilnehmenden Künstlerinnen und Künstlern sind Bücher versammelt, die auf ihre Weise einladen, die bei den Veranstaltungen bei „BOVE“ entstandenen Gedanken und Diskurse, zu vertiefen.

In der SECTION DE CINEMA , dem kleinen Kinoraum neben der Bar, ist ein durchlaufen-des Programm mit Videoarbeiten  zu sehen. Das Programm beginnt jeweils mit einem zwanzigminütigen „Besuch bei Bove“ in Düsseldorf-Flingern.

Das Projekt „BOVE“ und die Ausstellung „BOVE-EXPAT“ werden in einem Buch dokumentiert (mit Textbeiträgen von Heike van den Valentyn, Claas Morgenroth, Roman Zheleznyak, Markus Lepper u.a.), das voraussichtlich Ende Juli erscheinen wird.

I Visited an art gallery in Paris

…and no, I did not travel to France nor did I use a train from St. Pancras International for the trip. Technology has giving life a new meaning, it has introduced new ways of doing old things. The emergence of technological advancement in the art space has given art galleries an edge in making the visitor experience one to look out for. This post unveils and discusses how digital technologies facilitate visitors’ immersion and affect the cognitive, emotional, and social dimension of their experience.

I got an email to be part of the digital experience for the art exhibition in France which I obviously signed up to and was pumped up to attend.

‘Jours blancs’ [White Days] is an exhibition by Kamel Mennour, a contemporary art gallery with exhibition locations in Paris & London representing over forty artists. Jours blancs is an exhibition by a group showing and bringing together the works of Jean Arp, James Bishop, Marie Bovo, Daniel Buren, James Lee Byars, Pier Paolo Calzolari, Dadamaino, Jean Degottex, Jean Dubuffet, Latifa Echakhch, Michel François, Douglas Gordon, Petrit Halilaj, Ann Veronica Janssens, Anish Kapoor, Tadashi Kawamata, Bertrand Lavier, Lee Ufan, Piero Manzoni, François Morellet, Christodoulos Panayiotou, Robert Ryman and Antoni Tàpies.

This exhibition was created as a study of the colour white, which is created by combining all of the colours in the light spectrum. I was both shaken and fascinated by the basic approach. The visitor is allowed to roam through the gallery's spotless, frosty rooms, which act as a blank sheet over which the pieces disclose their many histories; nevertheless, in my case, it was a virtual tour, which gave me the feeling of being present in Paris.

Une belle exposition de Marie BOVO, « Nocturnes » à la Fondation HC Bresson. #fondationhenricartierbresson Elle a une superbe manière de saisir l’art de l’instantané. Des images réalisées à la tombée du jour, en pose (très) longue et en lumière naturelle. Des cours intérieures d’immeubles (j’aime particulièrement ;-), des architectures, des scènes de vie, mais aussi quelques vidéos ...
