I never posted my market bag pattern? Huh. The crochet bottom makes it extra sturdy, and you can tuck things into the handle like chapstick or rolled up cash 👍🏻

This baby can hold so many of my problems.
Look at all these skeins I can fit into it. Perfect to take with me on trips and only think about starting a project but never actually working on one.

French Market Bag
Made from 100% cotton yarn
This was actually a really fun project to make, and useful too! I currently can't do much walking around or exploring, since I'm healing from an injury, but once I can I will be taking this to the local farmer's market downtown to use!

I used a knitting loom to make a produce bag.
I mostly followed this tutorial
But I also made it up as I went a bit.
I used some random thread from my mother's stash and a 36 pegs loom. I didn't count how many rows I did, I just kept going until it looked ok. I didn't care about the handles so for finishing I did two rows on all pegs, then one row of triple knit on all pegs (for the ribbon to go through) then two more rows, then bind off.
Added the ribbon and it's done! Thought it was going to be small but it easily holds 8 apples and there's room for more.

The scissors are for scale.
This is a relatively small handbag, about 9 inches deep and 10 inches wide. Its made from cotton and is a little on the rougher side, people with sensory issues beware.
I made these while puppy sitting (there was also a cat), and while I did wash them when I got home, there might still be pet dander.
They were pretty quick to work up, although I did run out of yarn for the handles, so they are thinner than I would have liked, but still quite usable. Cotton is a sturdy material after all.
The colors make me want to go foraging in the woods.
