I've tried watercolour two or three times at uni, but it was very frustrating. I just couldn't make it work. In 2018, a few months after I did my first Sherlock fanart drawings, I unearthed my watercolours, suddenly feeling crazy enough to give it another try. This is the result. My very first watercolour that was not a total failure.

No, he wasn’t. Charles II - The Power and the Passion was released in 2003. Sherlock in 2010.

Rupert and Martin Freemann also worked together in “Pride” voicing lion cubs before Sherlock happened.

Am 03.05.2019 erscheint auf Acid Jazz mit “Soul On The Corner” die Fortsetzung der Idee. Eddie Piller eröffnet auf Teil 1 mit "How Could You Break My Heart”  des unvergleichlichen Bobby Womack und erklärt “I never tire of hearing this record and have used regularly to close my DJ set, it’s a real hands-in-the-air moment.” . Weiter geht’äs über den Label-eigenen Laville, Sergio Mendes & Brazil 77 zum finalen “Never Gonna Give You Up” von Jerry Butler: “I plumped for this because I recalled the incredible response from The Black Keys’ version that I aired on the BBC’s Funk and Soul show.”

Martin Freemans Auswahl ist nicht weniger vielfältig: vom 68er Vintage Soul von Barbara Acklin mit “A Raggedy Ride” -  “is an unexpected gem that’s been a favourite of mine for forever.”  - zu “Fan The Fire” von  Earth, Wind & Fires Debütalbum. “This is a funky-as-hell cry for peace and love. Have you (or any of your lovely followers 🥰) heard how the SAG-AFTRA strike in the US might affect promo for Breeders?

I know the strikers are not allowed to do promo, and of course Martin & Daisy (& others in the cast) are UK union members but also does the strike count for non-US based promo/ non US-based actors? Or maybe they'll just not do promo in solidarity?

First of all, you are correct: my followers are lovely. 🥰🥰

And it's funny because just the other day I said to @colourfulwatson (one of the loveliest mutuals 🤩) : "With the current strike we probably won't get much/any promo for Breeders."

But tbh, I don't know how it works and what the rules are for non US-based actors. FX is US- based, so I would expect no promo at all. Cillian Murphy and Florence Pugh walked off the premiere of Oppenheimer- that's pretty much the same, just on a (much‼️‼️‼️) bigger scale, I suppose.

Breeders was never promoted a lot and I was looking forward to some small bits and pieces here and there, but I am quite sure that we won't get any promo now. Which is fine. This strike is so important!

Martin is still on holiday anyways, so maybe he'll just stay a bit longer where ever he is now. 😬

Maybe we will get some interviews when Breeders comes to the UK in October.

John’s hand

This was inspired by It takes John Watson to save your life written by Sparkypip. Quote: "...he held fast to the bars of the gurney as they tried to wheel him backwards."

I am aware Mr Freeman's hand looks different, but I had to improvise since he wasn't available. Also, the IV port I used is about 20 years old, no clue if those are still being used. I know enough about nursing that I know the plaster is rubbish, but I didn’t have a proper one at hand.

This was the very first art I did after not I having drawn anything in about sixteen years. It was also the very first Sherlock fanart I did. I thought I was crazy when I unpacked my pencils and took pictures of my hand to produce a reference picture. Now, I am very glad that I answered to  @sparkypipart's request for Sherlock fanart.

The Telegraph is on it (the end of Sherlock). Except they aren’t. Some snippets from interviews, nothing new (x) . AFAIK, Ben never directly said “the last time” but talked about a possible longer time gap.

The last paragraph is quite cute.

“I adore him [Martin Freeman],” Cumberbatch told The Daily Mail. “Well, he’s quite grumpy, but he’s adorable as well - he’s direct and nice and great fun to be with even when he’s grumpy because then it’s just fun to wind him up”.

This quote is not dated though.
