This week's #ncbd stuff arranged by anticipation. #thegreenlantern first because last issue was amazing. #shazam next because it's been goid despite one or two bad issues and some superflous plot points. #guardiansofthegalaxy annual next because even though I like Cates' run, this is an annual... that also has multiple writer. #blackcat last because even though I want to support her having a series, I have no clue what it'd be about other than discount Gambit stuff... like, even though I hated her as a crime boss, it'd have made for a better series. That and the art looks generic; I have no clue why they'd get Foreman for this (though I only find him notable when he's doing things that are at least somewhat creepy). #die trade because I read the first two issues and they were pretty good. Gillen's great when he isn't doing pretentious hipster stuff. Also got home today to learn that he's making a TTRPG based on Die, which is cool and i wanna give it a go. My #ncbd stuff from last week. #newmutants has been a fun, well-executed, traditional take on the X-Men with a fun cast. #firepower has been pretty good. #theflash trade because early Wally Flash stuff is finally being reprinted! While I'm not sure how good this stuff is, I know that Messner-Loebs and his wife has had a hard time of it, so if buying these convinces DC to keep putting out his stuff in trade and that helps him somehow, then that's another reason to get these beyond my love of Wally West. #oldmanhawkeye trade because I put off getting the thinner trades for an OHC, but with this out, doesn't seem like Marvel are gonna make one, so this is the next best thing. #boostergold hardcover because I just like the character; I still haven't really read the first hardcover.
