It is a fun and interactive game for kids. Kids use their math skills to guide the train around a track, and their goal is to collect as many magic numbers as possible. They must roll the dice to determine how many cars they can move the train, then use math and logic to move the train around the track and add up the numbers. Along the way they must also watch out for special obstacles that can slow them down or even send them back to the start of the track!

You guys! This morning I realized that the game with my first voiceover credit is up online! The game is Monsters Vs Fractions: Episode 2. It’s a fraction-teaching game for grades 3-5, so friends with elementary kids who are looking for more educational games should check it out. I wasn’t involved in part 1, but both are good for teaching fractions and I would definitely go in order because they build on each other. (Yes, I did play a bit of both of them, haha.) It’s free to play and browser-based, and episode 1 is available as an iPad app (don’t know if episode 2 will be added to that or not). You can play it at Monstersvsfractions.com Not an ad, just something exciting I wanted to share. Image description: A screenshot of an about page of a game called Monsters Vs Fractions Episode 2: Food Frenzy by Smart Technologies. The left side of the screen shows the game’s logo with three monsters behind the name of the game, and the right side shows the voiceover credits with my name and the character I voiced, Ruby, circled in blue. #MonstersVsFractions #VideoGames #VoiceOver #OnlineLearningGames #OnlineGamesForKids #MathGames #MathGamesForKids #OnlineMathGames https://www.instagram.com/p/CH3ic4VnBDT/?igshid=au6p4tdx09wn

How to Help Your Child Meet Common Core Standards Using Math Games
Introduction:
In today's educational environment, parents are essential in enhancing their children's learning opportunities. The Common Core Standards, which emphasize the value of critical thinking, problem-solving, and quantitative competency, have emerged as a pillar of contemporary education.
Incorporating learning games and math games for kids into your child's daily routine is an efficient and entertaining strategy to help them reach these objectives. We shall examine the advantages of playing these games in this extensive guide.
Acquiring knowledge of the Common Core Standards
It's essential to have a thorough understanding of the Common Core Standards before stepping foot in the realm of educational games. These standards outline the information and abilities children should have at each grade level, with an emphasis on mathematics and English language arts. They are made to encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and the application of principles in the actual world.
The Influence of Learning Games
Why Play Education Games?
An effective technique for improving your child's educational experience is educational gaming. They bring education and entertainment together to make difficult subjects more approachable and pleasurable. These games encourage participation, which might help players retain and comprehend arithmetic concepts better.
Enhanced Problem-Solving Capabilities:
Numerous educational games are made to provide problems that call for critical thinking and problem-solving, fully fitting with the Common Core Standards.
Better Creativity
Children can approach challenges from several angles because to the creative thinking and investigation that these games frequently foster.
Self-Paced Education:
Children can study through educational games at their own pace, which relieves some of the strain to keep up with the class.
Boosted Motivation
The pleasure factor in educational games might encourage kids to investigate mathematical ideas.
Selecting the Best Math Games for Children
It's important to take your child's age, grade level, and any particular areas where they might require improvement into account while choosing math games for them. Here are some pointers on how to pick the appropriate ones:
Age-Related Games
Make sure the game you select is appropriate for the age and grade level of your child. They could become frustrated by games that are too difficult, and they might not find enough challenge in games that are too easy.
Respect for the Common Core Standards
For your child's grade, look for games that adhere to the relevant Common Core Standards. On their packaging or websites, educational games frequently make explicit reference to the standards they address.
Evaluations and suggestions
To learn more about the value and caliber of the game, read reviews from other parents and teachers. Recommendations from reliable sources may be beneficial.
Making Math Games a Regular Part of Your Child's Routine
Create a Schedule
Make time specifically set aside for math game sessions. Gaining the benefits of instructional games requires consistency.
Consistency with traditional education
Although they are excellent tools, educational games should support rather than replace conventional teaching techniques. Use them to augment homework assignments and classroom instruction.
Positivity in Critical Thinking
Encourage your child to exercise critical thinking skills while playing the games. To encourage conversation and greater understanding, pose open-ended questions.
Track Progress
Keep tabs on your child's development and note any areas where they could want further assistance. Progress-tracking elements are frequently found in math games and are helpful.
A Positive Learning Environment Promotion
It's crucial to establish a good and encouraging learning atmosphere if you want to get the most out of educational games and boost your child's numerical prowess.
Reduce Screen Time
While playing educational games is useful, it's important to balance screen time with other activities like reading, playing outside, and spending time with family.
Conclusion:
When it comes to meeting the Common Core Standards, including math games for kids and learning games in your child's education can make all the difference. These games perfectly complement the educational objectives of today's classrooms because they not only make learning enjoyable but also encourage critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. A good learning atmosphere should be created, a routine should be established, and games should be selected that are age- and standard-appropriate. You will provide your child the tools they need to flourish in arithmetic while having fun doing it.
You'll be well-equipped to take advantage of the benefits of educational games and aid your child's educational journey if you adhere to the advice and suggestions in this book. Play-based learning is a fun and successful method for helping your child develop a solid foundation in math while having a pleasure.
