Reminder: I'm a real person, not a fictional character.
While I appreciate the enthusiasm some people have for my work, my personal life is off-limits.
I've been told of two separate things violating these boundaries in the last three days alone.

Chiptunes didn't begin with the Gameboy
In November this year, (yet) another Kickstarter was launched.  But this one is a little bit special, in my humble opinion.
80's / 90's video game musical genius Matt Gray decided to remake (not remix) some of his music created on the Commodore 64 - the World's best selling home computer ever (fact).  Music for games like Last Ninja 2, Driller, Quedex, Vendetta.  Classics one and all.
"So why is this special, Mark?"
Because Matt himself is remaking the tracks. Not a fan remix.  A remake.  By the original author.  Who better to revisit their own work, right?  I mean if John Williams can do it, so can Matt.  The cool thing is - and I guess chiptune purists will appreciate this - one of the stretch goals is for Matt to use his original Commodore 64 sound driver routine and create a clutch of new tunes.  On the actual computer itself.
"Mark, what's this short, stupid video for??  What the hell is it all about?!"
It's a tease (a fan-made tease, if you will) of an original SID chiptune (I kind of hate that term but still, the kids know it right?) from an original Commodore 64 demo by a couple of likely lads called Ash & Dave. (Those were their real names, btw).   Now-ancient demo coders loved Matt Gray.  Have a listen and you may well understand why.  I also stuck an old, unused picture I drew at the end of the vid.  Drew on a Commodore 64.  With a joystick.  In 1988.  Don't ask me why I used to do it.  I can't remember.  Think of it as a subliminal advert for the kickstarter.
Remember kids, chip tunes didn't begin with the Gameboy.
Link to Matt's kickstarter is here.
