The 2019 TV series of Swamp Thing is now available (for a limited time) to watch for free on Tubi.

What makes this significant for Sandman fans is the show had a version of Matthew Cable as a character.

Matthew Cable is the man who dies and becomes Matthew The Raven in The Sandman.

They even went back and added a scene of Matthew dying in the final episode because this was around the time there were early talks of adapting The Sandman into a Netflix series.

Obviously he's played by a different actor here than he is in The Sandman, mind you. Tubi is only available in the US so if you are outside of the US make sure you turn on your VPN and set it for a USA location.

Morpheus's ravens are Not "Real" as in "ordinary" ravens. They are dream folk made from the souls of deceased humans. Jessamy was "Not" a "real" raven.  She was Morpheus's raven since at least the eighteenth century.  This becomes important later.  Natural ravens do not live centuries.  And are not made from the souls of deceased humans. At least three people in this very group are spreading it around that the ravens are not dreams and they are biologically "real" ravens.  No, they are not.  They are immortal (for the most part).   And most remain his raven for centuries. Aristeas the raven in Ancient Rome was Morpheus's raven for two centuries before he decided he wanted to be mortal again and then changed his mind and reverted to being a raven. Jessamy was a raven at least a century and a half at the start of the Netflix series because the quest Morpheus sends Johanna Constantine (eighteenth century version) on is told in Thermador in The Sandman: Fables and Reflections and Jessamy appears in that story.   Please stop spreading it around this ravens are ordinary ravens. They are not.  They are still dream folk.  They are psychically linked to Morpheus as all his subjects are.   They do not age.   They are not "normal" ravens.   I don't know why you have latched onto this headcanon / Fan theory but could you PLEASE stop spreading it as fact? Also Eve was never a raven.  She is called the Raven woman because she looks after Morpheus's ravens for him. Remember, Lucien (now Lucienne) was the first raven and Lucien can still take raven form at will.
