ok but imagine you're just like, a random person living in New York, and one day you go out for a nice lunch at some fancy restaurant and this group of scruffy kids comes in and sits at the table next to you. They all order a shit tonne of food and then they get into an argument about that with the waiter and the manager of the restaurant. You hear the littlest one tell the manager that the waiter thinks he's a himbo and also smells like a sissy. The cops show up and one of the older kids dumps the bowl of olive oil for the bread over the waiter's head. And then the scruffy kids suddenly jump up on to their table and they jump into the air and giant wings pop out of their dirty hoodies and they fly around the room for a bit, throwing food at the staff before crashing through the skylight and flying away. Like what do you even do in that situation? How do you react? Like what an absolutely insane thing to experience as a normal, average human. You better have had a camera ready when it happened, coz no one would ever believe you if you told them about it.

I am so glad this post came up in a recommended blog, because I distinctly remember one of the most popular reblog chains was one rb from a deactivated Maximum Ride RP blog which said "went out for a fly" or something similar, and the rest of the rbs following it were debating whether the rp blog (which they did not know was an rp blog role playing a fictional character with wings that can fly) was lying about flying for no reason, or was a pilot that filmed themselves in an airplane, or if they were lying about being a pilot, or if the footage was even real or cgi & that the rb was a shitpost. I think the footage might actually be from a movie.

But either way all the ppl were debating over the authenticity of an rp blog they didn't realize was roleplaying

i think it's kind of bizarre that max and the flock never went to space. like, so much other weird shit happened in the series that i'm surprised jimmy patts didn't bring aliens into it. i'm surprised that he wasn't just like "yeah the reason itex was able to make all these successful hybrids was because it's run by aliens."
