the door to the hotel room closed softly, followed by the sound of shuffling footsteps. you lifted your head from your book, smiling softly at the very tired looking man in front of you as he kicked his shoes off.

“hey,” you smiled, quick to place a bookmark between the pages because you knew what was coming next. the same thing that would happen any other time he’d leave early in the morning to go to the track.

“hey, baby.”

the pet name that ended up quickly replacing your actual name.

you watched as he emptied his pockets, his phone, his wallet, his paddock pass and a lip balm finding a new place on the nightstand next to his side of the bed. the side that still had the sheets rustled from when he got up in the morning, the side that was missing a pillow which may or may not have been moved to help you sit up against the headboard.

he didn’t notice, or if he did he didn’t care. he didn’t need it. not when he was climbing the length of your body. he placed a gentle kiss on your lips, you smiling softly and cupping his cheek lightly. it didn’t last long, just long enough to emphasize how much he missed you while he was gone all day.

you chuckled softly when he placed his head on your chest, listening to the sound of your heartbeat.

“long day?” you asked, fingers running through his curls. he hummed back in agreement, giving you your answer.

“want me to wake you up in a bit for dinner?”

he hummed again, his eyelashes kissing his cheeks. you smiled softly, still playing with his curls. your fingers trailed across his face, drawing lines to connect the moles and freckles littered across his skin.

as he drifted off to sleep, your heart tightened in your chest. no matter how hectic life was, or where in the world either of you would be, it was moments like this that made it all worth it.

Perfect 10 Liners (Sundays, 21/24)

This show continues to astound me. Faifah's reaction to rejecting Jan was so funny, I almost cried. I love seeing his growth from interacting with Wine. Also shipper pair Arm and Gun? We love to see it. I love their friendship so much. The way they're looking out for both Wine and Faifah is so sweet.

I also loved how we got to see Yotha threatening someone for Faifah's safety. As if to say, Yotha may have stopped fighting for Gun's sake, but he's not afraid to throw down for his baby brother's protection. I'm scared for the preview for next week though...Faifah and Wine look too happy. How is Tor going to stir the pot?

Ossan's Love TH (Mondays, 11/12)

NOOOOO MO! WHYYYY? There was so much chaos yesterday. Mo pretending Chicha was Heng's partner, then Mo broke up with Heng? Now it looks like Kongdech is going to try to get with Heng again (that man needs to stop). I need Heng and Mo together again. P'Meow needs to step in and save the day.

This one looks like "Tale of Thousand Stars" style, except Fifa did not want to go to the town. Honestly same bruh. It doesn't look high quality, but I'll give anything a shot.

The witch is just so interesting!!! I got hooked from episode one. Every time you think you know what's happening, you don't! All of my theories have been destroyed. I keep gushing to my wife about this show. Damn, Park Jinyoung can really pick em. Istg tho if this doesn't have a happy ending I will die.

Boys Journey Outing: Fun Outside the House (Fridays, 7/10)

This isn't a drama, but it's the variety show hyping Pit Babe 2, so I'm counting it. Season 1 of this show was hit or miss with how funny it was, but damn this season is hilarious. So many cute moments - the PingNut is real y'all - but also such good friendship vibes. I love to see the Pit Babe boys being besties.

Hummingbirds I think was my topped song in my wrapped list this past year and I only heard of it ~October so I probably listened to it 4 billion times. I keep saying I'm good and doing well, but honestly I think I am struggling tbh. I'm a busy girl--especially this time of year. I think I'm taking care of my self a little more (pilates, not biting my nails, eating a little better) but I think I'm just tired of everything and everyone around me. My fam is pretty exhausting (oldest daughter problems). I love my bf more than anything but he's still a MAN so he's annoying sometimes and his mood rn is in the pits and I can't get him out of his funk. I think I'm struggling most because I feel like I need someone in my life who's like me.
