Commissions for Palestine!

So! I have posted commissions on my side blog but let me do it here again. I will be tagging my main fandoms!

I realized it's not on my sheets because I assumed it would be a given but: will draw your ocs :3

For my art commissions, I will be going like this:

Coloring Style: Monochrome Sketch: $5

Fully Rendered: $10

Lineart: $15

Once you chose the art style you like, I'll be adding to the price based on how you want it drawn.

Portrait: $5

Half Body: $10

Full Body: $20

And if you want to add an extra character in the same piece, that will be half of the price added onto the final total.

So let's say you want it as a fully rendered painting, thats $10, and you want a half body drawing of your character, thats another $10, and if you want to add another character in that canvas, since we have $10+$10=$20, ill be halving 20 and adding it to the price.

So $10+$10+$10= $30 dollars on the final.

For writing comms I'll be doing $5 for every thousand words! We can adjust the price ofc since i may not write evenly in the thousands, but I'll ensure it'll be fair for us all.

I can also do shitty meme redraws for like 5 dollars teehee.

I'll only write for fandoms i know the media well! So ofc MazM but I can do Identity V, Baccano! And whatever has my fancy. We can discuss that in DMs!

I am not financially independent, so as payment I ask that all proceeds go to a palestinian in needs gofundme or towards esims since those seem to be direct ways to help. If a vetted charity is preferred that is alright as well! We will discuss in dms.

Planning to get Pollie Gump, Alan whatever his last name is, Sally whatever her last name is, maybe be child Hyde tramples maybe, and possibly a Mihir with the glasses.

Here: I hear that it has a very dark theme, it’s a bit chaotic, and very haunting. It’s a very dark piece of literature. Don’t have to read it if you don’t want to, tho I figured if it was a dark theme, anyway… hope it’s at least worth looking into.

finally got around to playing the mazm hyde and seek game and oh boy its infested my head istg

It's been a while since I've played the game so if I'm just wrong, correct me, but Kay always felt like a character to me that should be trans, but is not fully treated as such.

Like, Kay goes by he/him and male terms, even when it's not strictly necessary. He goes by he/him with people who know he's the maid burglar. Mihir pretty explicitly treats Kay like a trans man, with his father being transphobic.

Even if Kay wasn't intentionally written as transgender, the parallels are right there and you can't tell me no one noticed. The devs could've made it clear that, "Kate doesn't actually identify as male and it's just a disguise" but that's never really implied.

But from what I remember, Kay is still referred to by she/her and as Kate by the narration and it's kinda implied he's living as a woman after the game.

It makes me a bit sad. It would've been nice to get an explicitly queer MAZM character. I suppose with MAZM being in an iffy financial situation, they might not have wanted to risk losing their audience by making a character who's pretty definitively trans.

Won't stop me from headcanoning Kay as genderfluid, though.

The General State of MazM

So. MazM recently made Pechka pay to play. Fuck. I don't want to be hostile but to all those that complained about the ads this is the alternative and it's not too good...

MazM has 7 members right now and no one from the Thy Creature team is left. (Off the top of my head the members should be birdy the director, jessy is i think a programmer, luffy the marketer, martin the new artist, whoever writes the newsletters and 2 others). That is. Incredibly shocking and I do worry about the state of MazM. In 2021 one of their employees on twitter said MazM was on the verge of bankruptcy and begged people to play Thy Creature because it was their only hope.

MazM isn't bankrupt right now I'd assume but this is such a sudden change with no prior information provided. I worry that they'll go back to POTO and JNH and make those P2P too...

This isn't very good. They're going to release Metamorphosis in Autumn 2024. They haven't released Lessa: Checkmate in English yet. When these titles do come out, I ask that the MazM fandom be vocal in their support and well, not complain about the ads 😔. They're trying their best but free content is difficult when the fanbase is so small, comprised largely of people who can't pay for a variety of reasons. I think our best bet would be to try to popularize the games through word of mouth, and if anyone can afford it and wants to, spare a bit of money.

I think MazM would benefit from a patreon or some sort of subscription for exclusive content. That way they wouldn't alienate their f2p fanbase whilst attracting the attention of those who can spare a penny for exclusive content.
