I want to talk about TITHE by Holly Black. I remember I was in Barnes and Noble with a rare but coveted gift card. I saw the font and the wings and read the first page and knew I had to have it. I read the whole thing in two hours, and then read it immediately again. It’s the first book that ever felt like it was written for me. ⚜️ Growing up, I always felt like I was either too much or not enough. Kaye occupies that space, too. My car is okay. I was not part of the accident. This person that caused the accident immediately started blaming the other person for it. Maybe cause they were driving a sports care or because they were young. I’m not sure. As the person that saw the accident I decided to leave my info with the guy that was driving the sports car because it was not his fault at all. I wish I could know what was going through the other drivers head that would make them immediately blame the young guy driving the sports car. It is one of those things I find baffling I guess. One of the things I always loved about this series is Clary and Simon’s friendship. They are best friends through thick and thin. Do you have a best friend that you’ve known your whole life? I unfortunately do not. I have three really close girlfriends but I met all three of them some point in my twenties. Yes I am still in my twenties for now. Not even a decade of friendship yet. These women are like my soul sister so I am so very grateful for the time we’ve had together. Nowadays the main bestie I hang out with is my husband. Then my TikTok videos are doing better on the reels end then on TikTok so who knows. Yesterday was a traumatic day of stress. My 8 months old pug Boston terrier mix puppy got hit with the ball. Her face started swelling and well we ended up going straight to the ER Vet. The triaged her and told us it would be a 20 hr wait. That she wasn’t bad enough to be seen right then but they did give her a dose of pain meds. So 9 hrs later (thankfully not 20) she was seen. Thankfully it was better news. She has no damage but she is in a lot of pain. So it is a lot of pain meds and eye drops for her.
