This takes place in an au where Petra stormed off into Crown Mesa during the argument with Jesse and gets caught and chipped before Jesse goes through the portal

Here, Jesse has freed her but now she's left alone to ponder her thoughts in this unfinished, rushed oneshot

An hour has barely passed since it happened.

Since electronic bolts of agony seized through nerves.

Since Jesse's screams replaced PAMA's demands

And now she finds herself sitting down, soreness still mocking the once proud warrior, overstaying the welcome it never had, taunting every movement made as her gloved hand guided the sword along the bark of a wood plank.

'Jesse!'

Those chipped creatures grabbed him... Disarmed him...'Petra!' Jesse shouted. 'Just go! Fill the last cauldron!'

Suddenly, the wood block was no longer seated in her lap, its carved frame crashing into the wall, landing with a violet thud, small chips falling off on impact, as the carved remains went still, like some kind of murder victim.

Carving it had provided no comfort... No ounce of relief, no solace, further reminded by her aching body, crying for rest in its silent wish to be on the floor instead.

'Sorry, I was whittling earlier. Nervous habit'

'Well, luckily those should do just the trick'

She was angry then too... How was Jesse so calm? How did he stay calm?

Eyes begun stinging, tears begging for release, to be free of their biological prison.

At least back then... There was a good reason to be angry... But the Portal Hallway? It didn't have to be this way. It shouldn't have happened this way.

Yet it did.

It happened...

Because of her...

She's alone...

Because of her.

It's only fair she'd have to be the one to suffer

Finally, the fight had left, emotional walls crumbled like that of a dam, releasing a raging cascade careening down a once calm land. No effort placed into stopping it, even if those tears had served to make that headache worse. Even if just thinking was enough to send bolts of lightning down the spine, she couldn't help the thought that now found its opportunity to sneak up, as though it were a creeper silently strolling up to an unprepared traveler

Maybe The New Order was better off with someone else...

Maybe she didn't deserve her role at all...

this was meant to be angst but then it just turned into Lukas' POV of the scene where they get the last people back to their homes in S1 EP8

There is redstone in his eyes and it burns.

Lukas cringed at the burning sting. Ever since their adventure in Crown Mesa where he got chipped and subsequently freed, his eyes have been aching. Not in a ‘I need to cry’ way, but in a ‘there is something physically wrong’ way. 

He wouldn’t be surprised if something was wrong. He barely had time to recover from the whole PAMA ordeal, immediately going along with Harper and entering The Games to find a way home. And even then, it became another thrilling adventure where they almost died (well, he and Ivor did actually die but it wasn’t permanent and, therefore, irrelevant), Jesse once again somehow pulled through, and kicked some butt. Now, they were in the portal network getting the people who were trapped in The Games home.

“--and that's when I yanked PAMA's redstone heart right out, hragh! And the whole thing shut down!"

He winced and glanced at Jesse up ahead. His hands were waving about as he told Axel and Olivia about all the adventures they missed while they were at home. As much as he’d like to chime in, he didn’t really want to talk about or be reminded of PAMA right now. Especially considering he was, well, still in pain from it.

“Man, you guys have had some crazy adventures.” Axel sounded envious. “So many people trying to kill you.”

Understatement of the century, Lukas thought. It was nearly unbelievable, the amount of trouble they always got into. It was almost like they were drawn to it. Or the other way around. Danger was attracted to them. It wasn’t a very comforting thought. Honestly, Lukas would like to settle down and lay low for a while. It’s been at least a few weeks (maybe even a few months; it’s hard to keep track of time in the portal hallway when every different world had its own flow of time) since he’d been home.

“Goodbye, Jesse! Goodbye! Thank you!”

“That all of them?”

Wait a minute. He’s not been home for a while. Which means no one’s been in his house since it’s not in Beacontown. It’s at the edge of the woods. Which means-

“Everyone that wants to go home, anyhow. Except you folks, that is. Can’t believe how many competitors actually want to stay and keep playing the games.”

Dewey, his mind hissed. How could he forget? The poor ocelot must have been lonely. He wasn’t too worried about Dewey starving, however, as the ocelot has proven time and time again that it was very much capable of hunting its own food. But then again, Dewey might have torn the place apart looking for him.

“Thanks to you my intrepid new friend, I can actually work on making them FUN again. Very exciting. It’ll be more challenging just by myself… But a good challenge.”

“It’s what I do - exploring new worlds, helping people wherever I go… I was happy to help.”

A wince. He brought his hand up to rub at his eyes. They come back with traces of redstone dust.

“And I’m gonna help too. You taught me a lot about fairness, Jesse, and I’d like to use that new knowlegde for something good. And speaking of fairness… I think this is yours.”

Lukas blinked up at Slab before he looked at what was being offered to him. His eyes widened; it was his journal, “Oh, man!”

“There was some good stuff in there. I was really moved,” He was barely listening as he flipped through the familiar pages.

“Awesome,” he smiled up at the giant man before he pocketed the book, waving when Slab started making his way elsewhere.

“Huh. Guess he wasn’t so ‘immovable’ after all.”

He couldn’t wait to get home.

momentary heart to heart

sorry for joining the mcsm fandom then disappearing for two weeks to cook up my first full on colored comic outside of zine work, the wither storm possessed me momentarily

IN ALL SERIOUSNESS THOUGH this was intended to be just a practice on my block-y/minecraft/chibi????? style thing???? and then I just went super hard on it for no reason, literally was not even intending to color it when I first thought this up LMFAO

ANYWAYS the concept here is that this is a sort of “missing scene” type deal, I’d like to think they stayed in Crown Mesa for a day or two to recover before going back through the portal after all the PAMA chaos. The added horror of PAMAs chipping doing physical damage besides just the chipping of their minds is a really interesting concept to me so there will definitely be more of that !!!! but there’d be some physical AND mental healing Lukas and Petra would need before heading off again me thinks. even if Petra is stubborn about receiving the help at first…

ALSO APOLOGIES IF ANY OF THE DIALOGUE IS OOC AT ALL? I’m not remotely a writer despite loving to make comics, dialogue is what I struggle with most, and I’ve been mostly writing dialogue between the same two characters for like. 4 years now so branching off into other wildly different personalities is gonna be a learning curve bear with me LMAO

Hi chat so I made a MCSM au😼

I haven’t written everything down yet fully but here’s what I have!:)

-takes place in season 2, important for context

-Romeo is fed up with the New Ocelots and decides to put an end to it once and for all via scheduling a meeting w/ Lukas under the guise that he is still Jesse

- The meeting turns into a more heated argument and Romeo decides to send Lukas to the Sunshine Institute

- After being held in a solitary cell for a few hours Romeo finally appears and gives Lukas an ultimatum: become a guard like Stella or he’ll never return to the surface.

Lukas, not wanting to hurt his friends refuses to choose either. This infuriates Romeo more and he decides on an appropriate punishment; reviving PAMA.

Well- not really revival? He just creates a copy that he can control. Just something to power a singular chip.

-Once Lukas is officially under his control he takes him out to meet the others. The gang is, as expected, a little shocked and Stella is equally as confused.

That’s as far as I got errr ☹️ have some doodles

This really got me going! I got carried away again and drew more-- had no idea how to do Lukas' hair though... and I have NO idea what that thing around his waist(hip?) is supposed to be. So I just drew it as it was seen on the game. (I have more under cut :p)

Anyways, I really think it would've been nice if the people chipped by PAMA was smiling(like always). But it's a welcoming smile. A real smile, not forced. I thought about how it would work and I imagined PAMA using the person's memories.

PAMA would keep some of the chipped person's happy memories, and repeat it. Also makes the person easier to control. And the smiling face helps with other people getting closer to the chipped person due to their smiling face maybe?

So... Petra and Lukas is just playing 'pat a cake' as like.. five year-olds or something on repeat

Side profiles? Nope. Never heard of em. (It's my first try lol)

Alright. So I tried to design Petra's armor. Only to learn that it seems to be based off an actual kind of armor??!? Let me introduce you to~ banded plaitmail(probably?..)

Pretty similar. So I got help from this to design and draw Petra's armor. Probably need to fix a lot of the armor still.

I think it would have been pretty hilarious if PAMA just.. gave up half way and switched to trying to seduce(?) Jesse.

Jesse is.. flustered. But her friends are also being possessed by a evil computer at the moment. So she be pissed at the same time

Either way I love both of em so I’m gonna talk about both of em! ;3c (Below a cut because there’s gonna be. a lot.)

Okay, so first off, we have what I’ve decided to finally name properly (totally not just thought up a cool name as I’m typing this, haha, what, nooo..)

Re: Chipped!

It’s a lot of what I’ve posted about in terms of AUs, and what I’ve gotten built up the most out of the two of em. Essentially, on a very base level, it’s ‘haha what if PAMA didn’t fully leave Lukas and takes over his body again’

You can actually find the first chapter of it here! I’m still working on chapter two because life stuff has kicked me, but yknow! It’s something I adore a good bit, given I both adore angst and such, and Lukas is one of ,y favorites <3 (Sorry, buddy, you must suffer because I like you!)

Beyond just the basic ‘what if’ premise, though, it has a lot more detail. It’s not just the regular ‘oh, PAMA is back, people get chipped again/it gets policed’, nonono. Not only does PAMA study Lukas and learn how to fly under the Radar (quite literally, in one case, haha), but after Harper is called to deal with the situation.. PAMA gains a new directive. Not to mention the fact that PAMA is able to blend in a lot more easily, due to the ‘red eye’ thing.. not exactly being as prevalent anymore. Who knows what’ll happen if PAMA isn’t kept under lock and key. Especially once it remembers Redstonia or the portal hallway from Lukas’ memories..

In terms of my other (and actually proper) AU, Admin’s Pawns, here’s a blurb I typed up on a previous post!

“Have you ever wanted to see what would happen if Season 2 starred all the ‘villains’ from the portal hall arc? Well, now you can! Romeo’s picked up a new set of champions, enemies from Jesse’s past who have been specially trained to catch them off guard and attempt to defeat them. Cassie (+ Winslow <3), Aiden, Hadrian, Mevia, and even a few extra familiar faces make an appearance, as the Admin’s army grows to give Beacontown’s hero an adventure they’ll never forget.. for better, or worse.”

It’s also something I’ve been writing here and there, and will post on AO3 at some point! ;3c

There, alas, isn’t much to share story-wise, given it’s not fully fleshed out, but I can share some character details! Although Romeo had to fight tooth and nail to get the group together in the first place, especially given his powers don’t work as well when not in the ‘base world’. When gathering those who were through the portal hallway, he was much weaker. But boy, oh boy, would it be worth it.

Aiden was trained as a sort of guard. Relying on strength alone whilst fighting, and being able to give blows while tanking some himself, he wields an enchanted diamond claymore.

Cassie is much more stealth-based. She relies on being able to catch the enemy off guard. An assassin or rogue type, if you will. Using a hooded cloak, and a face mask reminiscent of her serial killer alter ego, she’s able to stick to the shadows. Popping out to swing one of her diamond axes through her target before using one of her handcrafted ender pearl throwing knives to teleport away again. (She also does keep Winslow with her at all times, not wanting to risk potentially losing him again.)

Hadrian and Mevia’s roles aren’t exactly solidified yet, unfortunately. But as of right now, they’re more advisors than anything. Not exactly fighting, but doing things behind the scenes. That, or you can also think of them as the equivalent to Statler and Waldorf from The Muppets. (/hj)

Amongst their living quarters, however, there seems to be.. a workshop of some sort. The group has been advised never to open the door, but they can hear the goings on within. Sometimes hearing voices, one of which ringing slight bells to only Aiden. The other, however, remains a mystery. Oh, well. Best to follow the boss’ orders, right?

OMGGGGG this essay is gonna be crazy

i have many favorite scenes so ill give you 3 i havent drawn yet

1. the lukas and aiden fight

in my au, lukas and the blazerods are siblings raised by lukas' grandma. aiden and maya+gill are adopted (maya and gill being biological siblings). while maya and gill appreciated the life they had, aiden was always on a mission to get the most attention and be the "favorite", especially with lukas. he would snitch on lukas for sneaking out to help petra and only do chores to get praise. everything was a competition to him, he had to be the favorite. i could go further into the background of all this but i still have to tell you about 2 other scenes so ill have to cut it short. anyways, aiden still hates jesse ofc. its just most of the episode is centered around lukas because he doesnt get time to shine like petra does for a whole season lol. but yeah the reason aiden hates jesse so much after the witherstorm (before that he just hated jesse for being a loser) is because jesse, loser that he hates, now had all the attention on them, and aiden can't stand to see someone else in the spotlight! especially if that someone else is jesse. and *especially* if that someone else is his brother he's always had this one sided rivalry with.

because this episode is focused on lukas and aiden's relationship, the two of them fight eachother before jesse is able to make it back into the throne room. and lukas can win a brawl but hes not very good with swords, which aiden had. so he gets knocked to the ground, and aiden holds his sword pointed at lukas' throat, and tells him he's always been a spoiled brat and a coward, he never deserved to be a hero, and starts laughing at him and saying all he can do is freeze up like a deer when hes scared (which despite aiden not knowing this, makes lukas feel guilty about freezing at the nether portal again). and at this point, aiden is so off the rails with jealousy that lukas is thinking "is my brother actually gonna kill me right now?" and then jesse barges in and sees lukas with a sword at his throat and charges towards aiden, and their fight happens. i want to draw this scene so bad but i hate drawing 😭

2. recovery after the pama battle

i added a recovery period after pama, because people died and jesse almost did and petra almost did and lukas still wasnt doing too good either. erm basically in their battle petra fractured jesse's ribs, broke his arm, broke his nose, smashed his face into glass, he had adrenaline dragging him through but as soon as petra woke up and was okay he was out. but most importantly this recovery period is ivor's "redemption" and how he learns more about harper.

as the alchemist, ivor has been the "healer" of the party throughout the portal arc, though always reluctantly. someone would break their arm and he'd be all mad about having to use a potion to speed the healing process, and complain about how "you fools are wasting my precious resources on your petty injuries" (he had plenty of potions.) but after the pama shit, jesse almost dies, and because ivor has grown to care about them whether he likes it or not, he actually rushes to help them... he refuses to call them "friends", but these 3 fools are all he really has. ivor prioritizes helping jesse and petra, but harper asks for help too. her people were in even worse condition after being chipped for so long. the first people to get chipped 15 years ago actually ended up dying, and so did many others who were chipped for around 10 years. survivors were in critical condition. so ivor, who doesnt care about anyone, is asked for help. and because he sees himself in harper, he does... he gets harper to find him ingredients and he brews a giant pot of regeneration II, which he has all the survivors in town take a shot from. it's not enough to heal them completely, but it's enough to heal them so they are no longer on the verge of death. its kind of like the turning point of his character. he's still an old grouch of course but a slightly less selfish one. and no matter how hard he tries to push away any guilt, he still deep down feels like he owes something for all the lives he destroyed with the witherstorm.

3. jack and petra talk

i really like their dynamic... that's her dad man... so i wanted them to have a serious talk at some point in the underneath. while on the road to the oasis, the party takes breaks to rest. xara goes out to hunt, so jack volunteers to take watch while everyone sleeps and petra offers to with him. he asks her why and tells her she needs to get her rest, but petra says she cant sleep. they sit in silence until jack finally asks her if she's doing okay. petra says she should be asking this of him, cause he's been the one fucked over by romeo the most. but jack is genuinely concerned, cause he's noticed petra is a more jumpy than usual and been talking less, even to jesse. she's kept to herself since the incident in the sunshine institute. jack starts to ask her about being romeo's champion, what happened, what did he do. and petra doesnt want to talk about it at first, but jack gets her to trust him as a fellow tough guy who doesnt like looking vulnerable. so she tells him all about how romeo made her relive things from the past, would fight her as people she cared about, and showed her friends talking about her behind her back, the things they said about her. (none of which was true- again, just mind games to get petra to side with him) she told jack about something jesse supposedly said to him, but jack told her they didnt say that... whether she wants to believe him or not, it was true. so she starts to doubt what romeo showed her, though not completely.

they talk some more, and jack is the first person who petra tells that she's decided, if they make it through this alive, she's leaving beacontown. but she tells him she doesnt want to leave without jesse cause they mean a lot to her but doesnt know if they feel the same, or even if they do if they'd be willing to leave beacontown just for her. and it's jack who convinces her to talk to jesse and tell them how she feels. cause jack doesnt tell her this but he knows jesse loves her and would gladly go if asked, petra just doesn't see it since she's too caught up worrying if jesse even wants to be her friend anymore
