Anya, I go by Anya, it’s the name I’ve started to piece together as being mine. I don’t have nicknames or at least not any from friends, my father used to call me “Воробушек”, little sparrow, but it’s been so long, I’m no longer little. I don’t remember what year I was born but I remember the date, August 22nd. I don’t really celebrate it, birthdays are supposed to be spent with family however I don’t have that anymore. I have selective mutism, it’s a disorder accompanied by my anxiety in which there are times where I can’t speak. Please be patient with me, I’m trying my best. I learned sign language to combat it but worst case scenario, I’ll just start writing stuff down.

In 2016, my father dismantled one of the most powerful agencies called Hydra, which ultimately resulted in him going to prison. He did what he had too, no matter what other people say about him, they deserved, the avengers may have been torn apart in the process but they deserved it too. I’m not a vengeful or hateful person but I’ve never liked them. They never deserved the praise they got from other people, their crimes went unpunished, it was good to see that someone was finally holding them accountable.

Due to my father being in jail for pretty much life, all of his assets went to me. His estates, his money, his stocks, everything however I’ve never really been able to use it. His estates are in another country and the stocks aren’t exactly something I understand well. I’ve only used the money to buy myself a small townhouse in New York. My handler was recently arrested, put into witness protection, I’m not allowed to know who they are or where they are and vice versa. The only bad thing about that is I’m in a foreign state with nothing but a back account full of questionable amounts of money and no family.

Rumor has it that my father is still in prison but I’ve never had it in my to actually visit him, I’m scared he won’t remember me or he won’t like what I’ve become. Perhaps him not remembering me would be better for the both of us. I know multiple languages, I don’t remember studying them but they’ve engraved themselves in my mind. I’m currently in university, NYU, however I haven’t really been paying that much attention— at least as much I should have during my classes and studying. I have a therapist but I haven’t necessarily gotten any better, it’s like I’m avoiding the problem instead of growing from it.

Hello there! It’s Devin, also known as the “Devine” pop star. (Yes, I know that’s not the correct spelling, it’s a pun) I honestly didn’t even mean to get this big, believe what people say whenever they mention “blowing up overnight”. I was just having some fun making songs in our basement and then all of a sudden.. the internet knows my name extremely well.

After the fall of Tony stark, Stark Industries fell into a power vacuum. Everything had to be sold and the tech? The tech was being held in separate locations because of how dangerous and costly it was and I wasn’t doing the best at that time so I started stealing from the cargos. I didn’t have any money, or parents, it was either steal or the streets and I made my choice. I’d steal it and sell it to the highest bidder, didn’t matter who, what or where, I just wanted my cash. None of my clients ever knew it was me, I had to keep my identity secret because I didn’t want to get caught with the wrong crowd. I already knew who I was selling to was the wrong crowd, I definitely didn’t want to be involved with anything they were into.

I’m usually dealing with the underground and low level gangs, sometimes it’s big players, enough to pay me off for a long time but I’m not a snitch. Whenever I’m not doing that or writing music to express my feelings I’m at cage fights, sometimes to watch, sometimes to play, but I’m never noticeable. Or at least I try not to be, Devin is just an outward persona. The cutesy aesthetic isn’t really my thing, I’m usually in a more grunge / techno style if you catch me on the streets.

Backstory; Key Plot Points.

• Pre-Natasha Romanoff, Yona's mother was raised and trained in the Red Room. Before her graduation ceremony, she was assaulted by one of the Red Room's soldiers and impregnated, but was ultimately able to escape. She could not look at Yona without seeing all the people who tormented her staring back at her. She was angry, violent, and bitter, but she kept him and raised him the best way a person as wounded as she was could. (Not very well at all.)

• Yona killed his mother. He was five years old, wide-eyed and innocent, and she was in the midst of an episode. She wasn't seeing him when she charged at him with that knife, miserable and desperate for the ghosts that haunted her mind to leave her alone, but in the end, it was still him she was attempting to kill.

Later in life, when asked about this, Yona will say, "She probably needed therapy."

In the moment, Yona couldn't say anything more than, "Mama," and, "Please," as he struggled and, inevitably, killed her.

• Yona does not remember his name. After his mother's death, he ran—it wasn't hard to disappear; he and his mother had lived remotely for as long as he could remember, in a little house surrounded by open fields with a seemingly endless forest at the edge of said fields. He ran into that forest, where he was found near a HYDRA facility, covered in blood, chin wobbling, lower lip quivering, sobbing. A HYDRA agent, who, at the time, was patrolling the facility, caught sight of him.

After just barely managing to pull a comprehensible response from him, Yona was sent to a facility in Russia, where he was given the name Yona Kholodov and "reborn."

His position in HYDRA.

Yona is one of HYDRA’s elite assassins, a weapon in its purest form. He isn’t mind-controlled or brainwashed like the widows and the soldiers, though his mind is already a cage in and of itself—having been grown up as a part of HYDRA, he is almost completely indoctrinated, not quite understanding its beliefs yet refusing to question them.

To him, HYDRA is what gives him strength. The people there have given him food, knowledge, and power, and to leave would be to die, so he stays. He kills because that is all he knows; he works himself to the bone because he would lose his place in the organization that has become his home if he doesn't.

Pierce has presented him with more freedom than most of HYDRA's operatives, and to Yona, that means he is trusted; he is one of them, the higher-ups, the elites. He isn't. There's a kill switch implanted into his body. He doesn't need to know that, though.

Abilities.

There isn't anything flashy about Yona; no super powers, or anything of the like. He, like most of HYDRA's "weapons"—think the widows or the soldiers—was given bodily enhancements via a serum, which hightened his sense of hearing, quickened his body's natural healing factor, and is a big contributor to his impressive strength and agility.

He's a sharp shooter, all about precision and efficiency; one of HYDRA's best. He can fight hand-to-hand, having been trained for most any situation, but even in close quarters, he gravitates towards handguns.

Personality.

During HYDRA; pre-Bucky.

Core Elements: Observant, stoic, intelligent, quiet, calm, collected.

As a person, Yona has become flat; one-note. There is no substance to his personality or character. He rarely talks. He has no desires, goals, or aspirations, there is nothing for him outside of his missions. When he's finished with said missions, he acts like a movie put on pause, waiting around for the next one. Everything he does is methodical and almost robotic.

Despite—or, maybe because of—this, he is calm; serene, even. His world is at peace, save for the distant memories that he pushes down each time they attempt to resurface.

He's definitely a little bit edgy, dare I say basic, but he's my baby, and I love him. When I was making him, the only things in my mind were—"I'm twelve, my life sucks, everyone and everything sucks, why did my mom hate me?" because, yes, some elements of his backstory were stolen from my own life—not the whole murdering-mom part, though, that's all him—and, "I think Bucky Barnes deserves a man who would (and probably has) ripped someone's throat out for him. Codependent trauma bond, anyone?"

This leads me into—Yona is part of a storyline I've dubbed The Mourning Dove and The Winter Soldier, shamelessly stolen from TFATWS. I hope to connect with more people and share the ideas I have for it through more posts! :D

That being said, this is just the tip of the iceberg 😭 I've been working on him for years, and I could probably go on about him for hours. I have a more detailed Notion page about him.

Phobia kinesis: Mira can project vivid and terrifying illusions into the minds of her enemies. They can be little mind tricks or vivid terrors -> She can sense other peoples emotions and manipulate them

Mind control: She can control peoples thoughts and body's at a certain distance. But only if the other person is hurt and or anxious.

Enhanced abilities: She is stronger and faster than the average person.

Combat: Due to both HYDRA and S.H.I.E.L.D. combat training, she is exceedingly good at hand-to-hand combat.

Interrogation: She uses her knowledge of manipulation and fear to really dig deep into her targets' minds, making them snap and snitch in a second.

ooo where to start!!

- i first started making harper when i was around 15 and she started out as a very stereotypical “tony stark’s daughter” style-oc, but i think she’s grown a lot since then (also ive grown as a writer so)

- she’s MCU-based so keep that timeline/continuity in mind. i unfortunately don’t know much abt marvel comics :-(

- her mother was a government worker/possibly SHIELD agent

- her mother died when she was around eight years old in a “house fire.” this same accident left harper an amputee and with a few other issues. after this she lived with her father. genuinely if not for his money, she probably wouldn’t have received proper healthcare and would’ve passed from her injuries.

- when harper is around 15, she’s taken by ultron and experimented on. this is when her “cyborg” comes into play. his initial plan is to basically make her a human drone— mindless, and something to experiment with humanity. her bionics can be upgraded but cannot be fully removed, due to being so engrained in her internal systems (brain, nervous system, etc.)

- she can understand any language due to an automatic translation in her ears, but cannot speak these languages. the translator makes the words into english, but she can’t speak english and have it come out a different language. she does pick up a few things, though.

- she’s a very silly character. despite her traumas she tries to have fun and be carefree, mainly as a defense and trauma response. when she does break, she falls to pieces. most people don’t see her actual feelings. she acts like a happy rich kid, but she’s genuinely just a young girl who’s scared for her future.

- she saw wanda almost like an older sister, but wanda never saw her as the same.

- harper wasn’t blipped! so she’s around 27 in current MCU-era.

- absolutely hated peter. saw him as the child her father always wanted that she couldn’t be.

- she’s very artistic and loves to paint!

- got her ears pierced with nat when she was 13. she looked up to nat, and though natasha would never admit it, she liked harper well enough and wanted to see the little girl live a mostly-positive life.

- when harper eventually meets yelena, her earrings remind her of natasha, as harper’s own piercings were lost when she got cyborg’d.

- when she was experimented on by ultron, her mind went into the vastness of the web, like how jarvis and ultron did at the beginning of that film. this is how ultron was able to have control over her. the only thing that kept her from being completely lost was by clinging to familiar things— she inevitably found the recently released SHEILD/HYDRA documents regarding her mother’s death/house fire. in short, it wasn’t an accident. she never tells tony this.

- for a reason totally not related (it is) she’s afraid of bucky, but also doesn’t blame him like others do, considering she’s also technically been “mind controlled.”

- in the current MCU, harper feels painfully alone. the people that raised her are dead or retired, and she’s never had the chance to make friends. she isn’t necessarily close to pepper or morgan and lives alone in an apartment in New York that, in the event of his death, tony had paid for.

The boy’s mother was a mutant. In turn, he got the X Gene. He developed a very powerful, yet dangerous ability. He can send off chaotic, raw, uncontrolled energy bursts similar to that of Ironman’s gauntlets. It comes from his chest, back, and hands. It can come from anywhere, in technicality, but it only happened once when his ability overcharged and he wiped a lab off of the map.

The serum is the only thing keeping the boy’s body from burning alive. The plasma harms him to use at the moment due to the fact that he’s still getting used to it.

Umbrakinesis - I can create, shape and manipulate darkness and shadows. Darkness is mostly used to cloud everything into total darkness, but can also be channeled to a variety of effects, both as an absence of light and a solid substance; I can also control and manipulate the beings that exist there, create and dispel shields and areas of total darkness, create constructs such as equipment or entities, teleport oneself through massive distances via shadows, etc. and I can control shadows to do my bidding like help me during situations, use them against foes, use them to see locations and get information about a particular place and can freely bring shadows out of nothing by my will.

Darkness Solidification - I can solidify or give solid-like properties to darkness/shadows with the level of solidity going from loose jelly to metal-like hardness or beyond.
