Zoids Mugen Liger - Supernova ZA (3rd party kit)

Finally built the Mugen, completing my Genesis Liger trio! Another really great kit, I really enjoy the Supernova Zoids. For bootleg/3rd party kits, they go together really smoothly with minimal problems, and their quality is very consistent. I hope they continue to do Zoids designs, but in the meantime I've got their Sturm Tyrann and Feedom Freedom Wings in the backlog!

So this decision for the super forms has always puzzled me, but I wanted to share my opinions on it and I think that super states being restricted to certain characters make sense. When everybody has something it's no longer special however, some characters should have access to the super state through the emeralds

Knuckles is literally the guardian of the master emerald which has the ability to empower and depower the emeralds, he literally had one in the past, and help deepen the lore anyway, and since Blaze is able to get around the Super rule due to being a guardian. Knuckles should too.

Amy is literally a hedgehog restricting the super form to gender is rather weird to begin with, Especially since a-lot of the fanart of super amy is really dope. That and Amy having psychic like powers would make a super form more interesting for her

Metal Sonic, and by extension every form of Metal Sonic, they're made to be robotic copies of Sonic, Eggman tends to get data of Sonic to make a metal duplicate of him, Plus both Metal and Mecha have been able to obtain a super state (although not a perfect one). So basically if they have Sonic data, or any form male hedgehog data they should be able to access a super state

Surge also applies to this even more, since she canonically have Sonic's bio data. So it's only a matter of time for her.

These are the only characters who should be able to achieve the forms naturally

The Exceptions

As you notice I didn't include Tails, in the ones who can achieve a Super Form naturally. While him having a super form does matter (Go watch the GameApologist video on that) I have a work around that and it through sharing energy. Tails should get a super from through Sonic and or other supers sharing chaos energy. This rule for Tails should apply for the rest of Sonic's friends. After that they should be able to achieve the form the natural way.

It is Robot Hours. For the final "monster, I thought I'd try drawing another robot. (One slightly simpler that Kiryu...Maybe.)

Notes:

• After being destroyed fifteen years ago, King Joe is back with some upgrades. I picked this dude simply because he’s something a bit different from the other monsters and aliens I’ve chosen as candidates for this miniseries. Also he’s got a funny name. He’s a big ol’ robot, pretty simple really. His beef is more with STAR than with Ultraman. He’s essentially a bit resentful about being abandoned and recently discovered that he’s been replaced by some newer robots. • I like his “made of 80’s junk” look, but maybe post time skip he’s made of more modern stuff? So, apparently his main gimmick is that he separates into a few separated parts that can act independently. Traditionally the head (+arms?), The chest, the waist and then legs. Here the arms are attached to the chest, which becomes a flying long ranged vehicle. The Head contains the pilot, and the waist has accommodations for a second pilot. The legs would become more mobile to literally run over and start kicking your ass. • His past design uses his classic cream-ish color palette. I’ve also considered, with the implications that it was aliens who recovered and rebuilt him, that he might take on a color palette similar the King Joe Black variant from Mega Monster Battle. • King Joe used to be the “main” mecha STAR used to assist Stellar in fights, however, at the beginning of the final invasion, the robot got completely trashed and Stellar had to mostly fight alone as Anne was injured. • The team would normally retrieve the robots when they were heavily damaged, but with everything going on, King Joe’s recovery ended up being low priority. This gave some rogue aliens the opportunity to swoop in and grab the robot first, bringing him to a secret base and making some modifications for their own purposes. • Unfortunately for the aliens, they were discovered and apprehended trying to steal the parts that would make King Joe space worthy. The robot was left undiscovered for about ten years, before being accidentally uncovered by Gomora, who turned the base into his new lair (which explains how he ended up with the monsters).

Might still tweak the backstory a little. I'm considering for a lot of the mechs in Helios to have AI, allowing them to be their own characters, like with Hanejiro, Earthy and You-Pi from Canon.

if you reach the end of the month with little to no money, if any unexpected emergency can or has the potential to sink you, if you can barely afford your likes or your hobbies, if most of your free time isn't actually free but in some way dedicated to work, if you have no assets despite having worked for years or decades, if you can't afford holidays, new things, good quality food or toiletries, then im sorry to tell you but you arent a part of the middle class so stop boot licking, ask yourself if you cashed in double your salary tomorrow, would you become rich or closer to owning all these things? but if you missed one paycheck would you be closer to your current lifestyle or would you sink?

worldbuilding thing I've been wondering about:

how do you handle gender identity, gender expression, and/or gender stereotypes, within your omegaverse writings?

this goes for ocs and for fanfics!

if alphas are physically male in the way we'd consider a human to be physically male, that's a statement on their sex, yeah? not their gender.

you can have the body parts implied there and still be a gender that is not "man". so how's that work for omegaverse? especially if alphas can be male or female.

how do you describe gender within your omegaverse? is it based more around dynamic / secondary? (alpha/beta/omega) or around sex? (male/female/others if they apply)

do people get gendered expectations assigned to them based on their sex, on their dynamic, on the combination of both?

(ex: is there a difference between the gender roles given to a female omega versus a male omega? are the stereotypes for a male beta like or unlike those of a male omega?)

could there be such a difference between female alphas, female betas, and female omegas, that only some female people are considered women, while others are labeled with some other term due to their dynamic? or are all female people considered to be women? (assuming they're all cisgender...but if you've got trans headcanons I wanna hear those too!)

I'm curious about this because it's reasonable to say something like "our image of what is masculine appearance / behavior is shaped by our society and time period," right? (since male doesn't have to equal man or masculine, but there's often some connection)

but that structure wouldn't be built from the same stuff in omegaverse. since behaviors and such could be associated with different groups.

so...if a male alpha is seen as a feminine presenting person, what does that mean in your verse?

are masculine and feminine less about what exists in your verse and more about the limitations of our own language?

is it something else altogether?
