Okay, I really wanted to analyze this brief moment.

When I first saw him falling and saw his friends running towards him, I was thinking "Catch him, catch him!"

They did not catch him. (To be fair though, after a few more rewatches I realized that he actually crashed WAY further away from them; he just skidded a long way. They probably wouldn't have been able to reach him in time, anyway.)

And then they're just standing there looking at him. He's quite literally unconscious on the ground. Again, when I first watched it, I thought, "Why aren't they checking on him? Why aren't they helping him up?"

Then it hit me.

These are Sonic's closest friends. They know him, better than anyone else. They know he doesn't like to be fussed over, or touched (especially when he's more vulnerable than normal) even if he did literally just almost die.

And with this knowledge in mind, I could suddenly see how very concerned they really were. Look at the tiny bits of body language they express in just this moment.

Amy covers her mouth and reaches towards him with both hands, but doesn't touch him.

Knuckles just stares at him, half-lidded eyes, and when Sonic starts stirring, he moves a hand towards him ever so slightly like he really wants to help him get up, but he doesn't.

Tails has less to analyze, since the impact literally knocked him backwards off his feet and he's just getting back up, but his concern earlier and the fact that he was the first one to start running says enough.

They love him. They know him. And they respect him.

They know he'll get up. They respect his boundaries, even when those boundaries are vastly different from the average person's boundaries.

And that knowledge that he'll be okay works out, just like they knew it would. Watch the change in their expressions and body language as he stand back up and smiles at them.

Knuckles straightens up and smiles, regaining a more normal expression for him. Amy lights up and holds up her hands excitedly. Tails gets just as excited.

And THEN Amy jumps to hug him, and high fives and fist bumps ensue.

I dunno. I just really liked the volumes spoken by this silent, wordless progression of events. The animation team really went all out.

Could I request headcanons about Sonic when he realizes he's falling in love with y/n?

Of course!

-It depends if your relationship is like him and Tails, or him and Shadow. (Mutual friends, or Sonic considers you friends but you're really not.)

-I see a lot of things thinking people in this scenario not knowing what a crush is, I'm pretty sure Sonic knows what it is. He's just more caught off guard with it and thought he felt this more towards someone else, but he was wrong.

-He's slightly easier to embarrass when you're around. He also tries showing off/impressing you more, but this could just be brushed off as friendship rather than him liking you in a romantic sense.

-It is certainly not surprising of hin to try and show off to someone, so it'd be quite idiotic to assume something is out of the ordinary.

-He does heavily rely on his friends, so he's going to them to ask for advice while trying his best to not hint at having a crush on someone.

-"So, Tails, lets say you hypothetically you have a massive crush on someone, how would you tell that person you like them?"

-"Sonic, who do you have a crush on?"

-"N-No one! I didn't say anything about me liking anyone! I'm just asking if this happen to be the case!"

-"Yeah, totally."

-Even while most people catch on to him liking someone, they don't know who, so when Amy heard him ask her, she got ECSTATIC.

-And I only say most people didn't know, is because Rouge knew. She knows everything. No one can escape her wrath.

-"You know Y/N likes you too, right?"

-"I didn't sa-, wait what?!"

-That just bring his confidence up by a million and plans coffessing very, very soon, but that's for another time...

Sonic used to be a very light sleeper when he was younger. On top of being homeless and having to survive in the wild (not that he minded it), he also had to keep alert about Robotnik. His ears were always listening for unusual sounds and his senses always remained sharpened, meaning he'd wake up at the slightest disturbance.

Sonic is still alert and his instincts often rouse him when there is danger coming in but after he took in Tails and made friends, friends he could trust, Sonic gradually got more and more carefree & relaxed during naps and slumbers. He no longer wakes up instantly at the smallest of sounds, feeling comfortable and safe to go into a deep enough sleep when near Tails or one of his other friends.

Something something Sonic turning from super light and alert sleeper to still instinctively alert but heavy sleeper due to the deep trust he has for his closest friends, allowing himself to actually rest around them, because of them.

Aka, the very first deep long sleep Sonic had in his life, the kind where u wake up all groggy trying to remember where u r, who u r, what year is it, was after a lengthy tiring adventure and with Tails sitting next to him , Sonic didn't even remember falling asleep, or a fluffy tail covering him up like a blanket

Sonic & Friends officially revealed by SEGA Japan

Sonic & Friends, which was trademarked and had its logo revealed not so long ago, was finally revealed by the SEGA Japan and Sonic Channel social media outlets early Monday.

The 3D animated shorts features the chibi-like appearances of Sonic the Hedgehog, Miles "Tails" Prower, Knuckles the Echidna, Amy Rose, and Doctor Eggman.

The new animation came after several weeks of speculation that started from a Japanese trademark listing. It described Sonic & Friends with numerous computer-related categories, which led fans to speculative that it could be related to a new children's television cartoon, a new merchandising opportunity, or a new mobile game.

Though, its subsequent logo reveal was later believed to be a Japanese social media project, after it was uncovered that SEGA Japan quietly announced a plan to launch a new TikTok animation in a livestream.
