It's been a year since I uploaded and if life hasn't turned out to be way different than I imagined.

First year was ... Something. Although I scored well in my University examinations (600+/900) , somehow life still was a bitch .

I am in 2nd year now . Clinical postings have become my worst enemy except for when I get to see cute babies get delivered.

The paraclinical subjects are interesting yet harder to remember.

I have so much shit to unpack . I feel like everything I have been through can be a post of its own . I hope I can write atleast some of it .

Also one advice I want every medico who is reading this to know . Never trust anyone . Never . Ever.

You are on your own . And it will still be fine at the end of the day .

Sooo we just had our 3 days foundation courses ended, and I am back home for the Puja holidays.

When I went to my dorm room for the first time, I was kind of nervous about what kind of roommates I will get, but fortunately they are very good roommates. And the canteen food is actually good surprisingly!!

And the facilitators are really cooperative, helpful and encouraging. They guided us well for these past three days on how to study properly, stress managing and made us understood the imp. of extra curricular activities in our life.

COUNSELLING REGISTRATION GOING ON FOR MBBS IN IPU DELHI

I feel like a Fraud.

That's my first thought upon seeing my reflection in the bespeckled mirror the first day of Medical College.

I wear a white coat, without taking the Oath. It's so long, it falls below my knees. I am swallowed by it. I look too young to be a doctor, which, of course I'm not. Only others will assume I am, and I don't think I deserve that respect yet. Someday, I want to deserve it. I want to work towards it, and I want to earn that respect.

But that thought contradicts with the fact that everyone deserves respect. Cognitive dissonance is not the way I want to begin this momentous day.

So I start over.

I look in the mirror. I see a young girl, wearing a white coat that reaches her knees. She'll grow into it. Not physically, that's unlikely.

But she will grow, and that growth will be well deserved.

First Week of College

I always dreamed of going to medical college; it felt liberating and confident. The first day was pretty good; the pressure of medical college didn't feel much, but the pressure of meeting new people and making new acquaintances was a bit overshadowing the happiness. The second day was very hectic; the fear of the pressure kicked in and everything felt intimidating, and I felt so sceptical about college be it teachers, studies, seniors, and college festivals. Then I noticed that I was PMSing, and perhaps this fear was driven by that. The next day I decided to let go of all the feelings of underconfidence and sink in the happiness and strength that I could do this with. With time, the fear will go away. Just be calm and patient, and remember the dialogue from the movie 3 Idiots.
