Blacksmith Master Roadmap: What's Coming Next?

Blacksmith Master roadmap is heating up, bringing epic new features to the medieval management game on Linux, Steam Deck, Mac, and Windows PC. Thanks to Untitled Studioās immersive nonstop creativity. Which you can find on both Steam and Humble Store with its 82% Very Positive reviews.
If youāve been hammering away in Blacksmith Master, the fresh medieval management sim from Untitled Studios, youāre in for more. Hooded Horse just released the first part of the Blacksmith Master roadmap, and letās just say⦠things are about to get epic. Whether youāre crafting pristine swords or accidentally setting the forge on fire (again), thereās never been a better time to be the boss of your own medieval workshop.
The game hit early access last month on Steam (and yes, itās Linux and Steam DeckĀ friendly out of the box ā no Proton workarounds needed). And already weāve had four updates. Now? The devs are setting their sights higher in the Blacksmith Master roadmap. Right from printing your own coins due to building weapons that could flatten a castle.
Whatās Already Landed
Last weekās Update #5 was the first taste of whatās coming. The community asked, and Untitled Studios listened:
Two brand-new furnaces that let 2ā4 smiths work together like a well-oiled (and slightly sweaty) machine.
No more bottlenecks ā shared ore and ingot storage keeps production flowing
Smaller ingot racks for better space management in your busy workshop
FPS boosts for those of us pushing our rigs to the limit with overdecorated smithies
A tweaked mastery tree that slows down the late-game grind (finally)
Fixes galore: assistant AI, save file chaos, Mac scrolling issues⦠it's all tighter now
That was just the Blacksmith Master warm-up for this roadmap.
Coming Soon: Coin Minting & Staff Upgrades
Next up, weāre getting a brand-new production chain: coin minting. Take your copper, silver, or gold ingots and turn them into glorious royal currency. Perfect for adding prestigeāor just flexing your wealth.
But wait, thereās more. Staff management is getting a serious overhaul. Youāll soon have more control over your crew ā tweaking their loadouts, optimizing their roles, and basically turning them into the medieval dream team. Think of it as RPG-style squad micromanagement, but with more soot and fewer goblins.
The Blacksmith Master roadmap progresses.
Hereās where things go full metal. The Siege Workshop is coming. And with it? Massive, multi-stage war machines. Not just fancy furniture or elegant blades anymore ā weāre talking about castle-cracking siege engines. Ballistas. Catapults. Things that go BOOM. Youāll need tons of materials, expert planning, and nerves of steel to build these monsters. But the kingdom needs you, blacksmithāand you donāt say no to the crown.

Whatās Next?
This is just Part 1 of whatās ahead in the Blacksmith Master roadmap. More quality-of-life updates are coming soon, based on even more community feedback. The devs are clearly in it for the long 12 month haul, and theyāre due to build something truly epic here.
So if you havenāt jumped in yet, nowās the time. Blacksmith Master medieval management is out in early access on Steam and Humble Store for $19.99 USD / Ā£17.99 / ā¬19.99. And yes, it runs smooth as butter on Linux, as well as Steam Deck, with Mac and Windows PC.
Sharpen your tools, prep the forge, and get ready to mint, manage, and maybe even blow up a few castles. The golden age of blacksmithing has only just begun.

when i realised the reason loki is so good at manipulating thor could well be that he's been taught how to do it, likely by frigga whose own job is "talk the king down and/or egg him on"
#i'm not saying she taught him to be a queen/consort except yes i am saying that aren't i?#i mean he must have been taught king things *as well* in case thor just died or whatever#but assuming thor survives to be king loki's job is definitely intended as an extra rudder on the ship of state.#(pls excuse my poor use of established metaphors)#i want to be clear i also think it'd work the other way round#but in this instance they never taught thor the manipulation/influencing stuff because he's the oldest.#(let's just go with asgard using primogeniture for now so we don't have extra things to worry about)#anyway this is a concept i've never really managed to get into fic#(other than a bit in 'heir and a spare (extended version)' but nobody's reading that fic for what it says in the tin are they?#they'd click on that for the e rating and maybe cos they have an adultery kink. and i respect that obviously.)#(but there was this one paragraph i kept moving...)#anyway the point is i've read too many books on queenship and it's starting to show isn't it?#and i'm also really into fratrcide of course.#relatedly: fandom's idea that thor's the 'warrior-king' asgard needs yet also feeble loki would be better at it.#so do they need a warrior-king or not? does anyone understand what that does and doesn't mean?#i mean it's okay the films clearly don't either but some of you aren't weirdly into the european medieval period and it shows.#i've seen *one* 'thing' joke and *zero* 'cnut' jokes#and what else are medieval scandinavians even for? it's not all raiding lindisfarne you know! they probably do other things too!#(i know they did i am just being silly for the lols)#anyway this is why loki has that 'grand vizier energy' that we're still looking for a less orientalist term for.#thor movies#brodinsons (brodin...wives??)

Exploring Graveyard Keeper: A Unique Blend of Management & Dark Humor
In the vast world of indie gaming, few titles have managed to carve out a niche quite like *Graveyard Keeper*. Developed by Lazy Bear Games and released in 2018, this captivating simulation game combines management mechanics with a quirky storyline filled with dark humor. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or a casual player, *Graveyard Keeper* offers an experience that is both engaging and thought-provoking.
At its core, *Graveyard Keeper* invites players to assume the role of a graveyard keeper who mysteriously finds themselves in a medieval fantasy world. After a tragic accident, you wake up in a strange land, tasked with managing a graveyard and dealing with the intricacies of lifeāand death. As you navigate this new life, you'll soon realize that there's more to being a graveyard keeper than simply burying bodies; the job requires resource management, crafting, and interaction with various quirky characters.
Gameplay Mechanics
The gameplay of *Graveyard Keeper* revolves around several key mechanics:
- **Graveyard Management**: Your primary responsibility is to maintain and improve the graveyard. This includes burying bodies, ensuring they are properly prepared, and managing the graveyard's overall quality. A well-kept graveyard enhances your reputation, which is crucial for your progress.
- **Crafting and Resource Management**: Players can gather resources, craft items, and build various structures. This involves tasks such as chopping wood, mining, and farming. The crafting system is extensive, allowing players to create everything from simple tools to complex machines.
- **Quests and Storyline**: As you progress, you'll encounter various characters and quests that add depth to the narrative. These quests often have moral implications, forcing players to make difficult decisions that can impact the storyline and their relationships with other characters.
- **Exploration**: The game features an open world, allowing players to explore surrounding areas, including dungeons, farms, and towns. Each location offers unique resources and challenges, enhancing the gameplay experience.
Unique Features
One of the standout features of *Graveyard Keeper* is its distinct blend of dark humor and morbid themes. The game doesnāt shy away from the realities of death and burial, often delivering them with a comedic twist. This unique narrative tone keeps players engaged while providing moments of levity amidst the more serious undertones.
Additionally, the game's art style is charming in its own right, with colorful graphics that contrast with the darker themes. The character design is quirky and memorable, adding to the overall appeal of the game.
Challenges and Strategy
*Graveyard Keeper* can be challenging, as players must balance multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Resource management is key; neglecting your graveyard may lead to a decline in reputation, which can stall your progress. Players must also strategize how to efficiently gather resources and complete quests, making planning essential.
Conclusion
*Graveyard Keeper* offers a unique gaming experience that blends management, exploration, and dark humor into a cohesive package. Its engaging mechanics and captivating story draw players into a world that challenges them to think critically about life, death, and everything in between. If you're looking for a game that combines humor with a touch of the macabre, *Graveyard Keeper* is definitely worth exploring.
So grab your shovel and prepare for a journey through the afterlifeāyour graveyard awaits!
Why Graveyard Keeper is One of My Favorite VideoGames
Let me share why *Graveyard Keeper* holds a special place in my heart. This game is a perfect blend of dark humor and pixelated charm, making it one of my all-time favorites. Developed by Lazy Bear Games and released in 2018, it offers an experience that is both engaging and delightfully quirky.
The Dark Humor
What really draws me in is the dark humor that runs through every aspect of the game. It takes themes of death and burial and presents them in a way thatās both absurd and hilarious. I find myself laughing at the eccentric characters and the bizarre situations, all while managing a graveyard. The game manages to tackle serious topics while still keeping things light-hearted, which makes for such an enjoyable experience.
The Pixelated Charm
Another reason I love *Graveyard Keeper* is its pixelated art style. The graphics have this charming retro vibe that adds to the overall aesthetic. The way the characters and environments are designed creates a whimsical atmosphere, even as Iām dealing with the realities of being a graveyard keeper. Every pixel feels intentional, contributing to the delightful and slightly eerie ambiance that the game encapsulates.
In summary, *Graveyard Keeper* stands out to me because of its masterful blend of dark humor and pixelated charm. It keeps me entertained and engaged as I navigate the challenges of managing a graveyard while chuckling at its quirky narrative. If youāre looking for a game that combines humor with a unique aesthetic, I canāt recommend *Graveyard Keeper* enough. Grab your shovel and join me in this wonderfully twisted adventure!

sometimes being an octopath traveler fan means ill find myself randomly researching medieval art history. as you do
#im currently looking at interlace borders on like 11th century manuscripts and stuff#and really appreciating how they managed to work it into the games. and like other art periods too...#like theres the borders for travel banters chapter narration and the game over screens#and also like in the actual sprites... in in-game artwork architecture clothing etc...#really makes the games feel like they're actually taking place in medieval* times/the early 1800's#*of course ot1 supposedly takes place in the early 1600's even though everything is based off the middle ages#such a weird bit of lore lol. anyway 8path loves being both anachronistic and historically accurate at the same time. and that's beautiful#op

ive fallen down a rabbit hole of videos about scam video games where the devs have taken millions from backers and fundraisers while promising crazy results and instead delivered the most underdeveloped dysfunctional game state (in the best cases)
#this shit is so interesting some of these devs havent even provided updates in years while they still actively took money#and its always those medieval fantasy style games with huge open world promises and where you can do anything#these ppl managed to scam multiple millions but even that wouldnt have been enough probably to actually deliver a game like that#bc for example if we take skyrim which came pretty close to do anything you want i think it was still around 85 million to make it#so theres no way they couldve even delivered an open world game of that kind of caliber with 15m sdjfhbj#nat talks

Did nobles interact with commoners regularly, and if so did they do so outside formal sessions? For instance would nobles leave their manors and engage one to one, or was this likely to end in violence?
I've actually written quite a bit about this: it was considered to be an important part of a noble's political education for them to learn how to "condescend" gracefully to the commons without either being overly "familiar" or "giving insult." It's a bit like how we expect modern politicians to be very good at surface level social interaction - shaking hands, kissing babies, remembering people's names, etc.
A nobleman who couldn't do that - John of Gaunt was famous for being utterly crap at it - would get a bad reputation as overly proud (in one direction) or obsequious.

Frederickās 30 Days Day 8: How do you dress when you donāt wear lolita?
Leggings and a sweatshirt haha ą«®ź°ą¾ą½²āāø āø āøāź±ą¾ą½²į I work from home so I donāt dress up most days, so Iām usually just wearing whatās most comfy to be sitting on the couch looking at spreadsheets all day.
When Iām going out I wear lolita 90% of the time so I consider myself a lifestyler; the other 10% is other jfashion like himekaji, or outfits with just a more vintageā vibe that arenāt lolita- like maybe a ācottagecoreā or āhistory boundingā vibe?
This fall an outfit I wore a lot when not in lolita was a calf-length brown skirt with a ruffle with a vintage blouse and a sweater, tights and heels or boots, as an example. Iām basically always in skirts or dresses- I only own one pair of actual āpantsā (so not leggings or sweatpants) and itās part of my extremely tiny āoffice wardrobeā none of which gets worn since Iām never in the office lol
The other thing you might see me wearing is historical costume! Iāve been into historical clothing/reenacting/conventions since high school and make almost all my own stuff. Iāve been posting some of it here but thereās more on my instagram (along with my lolita)

14th century medieval, 18th century rococo, and 19-20th century Edwardian. The last blue dress is not made by me.
I actually got into lolita because it seemed like a way to wear Victorian/Rococo clothing casually ą«®ā˶ᵠᵠįµĖ¶āį ā”
#fredericks30days#mine#been posting more medieval stuff to instagram recently because I just havenāt been taking coord pics when I go out oops#if Iām out alone itās harder to do so I donāt always bother⦠but it makes it look like Iāve stopped wearing lolita which is not the case#so Iāve been doing more flatlays too in case I canāt manage to get a coord pic#but like. yesterday (as Iām typing this so not yesterday as of posting) I wore my black IW Renoir OP and today itāll be a christmassy coord#but do I have pics? no lol because I forget
