Edit: The asterisk is for voice actors and I only included the Black female voice actors. That’s why they don’t all have them. (Some of them were for whatever reason voiced by some nonblack).

If our previous protagonist make a return in DA4, I want it to be obscure to the player, at least at the start of the game.
I wanna be in the middle of a cutscene, when suddenly, it fades to black and you are facing the character customization once again.
Inquisitor would be the first: Having been introduced to our newbie either by Dorian or by Varric.
Hawke would have two moments, depict on previous decisions in DAI: One, reuniting with Varric (possibly Fenris and Isabella) in Tevinter. The other, a mission alongside the Inquistior, having found a way to reopen a fade rift, where you go to either rescue Hawke or the chosen Warden (in fact they might be a spirit at this point, you customazion may not matter).
As for the Hero of Fereldan: The end of Trespasser hinted at a civil war between the Wardens of Weisshaupt. New protag travels there to gain the support of the wardens, and ends up meeting our dear HOF (Character may be given a voice if they return; if so, Troy Baker could be a good VA for m!Warden, and female warden, maybe Meeya Davis. If they are voiceless, it would be cool to have a character use sign language.)
Chances of them returning, eeeeeh pretty slim, except for the inquisitor. Devs have said the Warden won’t make a return before hand, that could change. As for Hawke. I always felt like Hawke was meant to be offed in DAI, so they wouldn’t have to return again. But, it was a choice so, we will see.
SYNOPSIS: Soon after moving into their new house a family discovers an ancient book of the occult in their home, Donald Capel’s (Basche) wife Wendy (Carlson) is seized by a demonic entity, nearly killing her, after accidently spilling her blood on it. Donald’s niece Jami (Bechtel), a paranormal enthusiast, activates a dangerous ritual in the book used to identify and banish demons. This ritual forces each member of the family to communicate with the demon in their own unique way: to see it, hear it, or speak to it.
REVIEW: Maybe I should stop reading the “Director’s Statements” they include in the announcements for films before I watch the movie. I get that if you are making a horror movie you are probably a fan of the genre, but please don’t think you’re reinventing the wheel. In a digital age when it has made the ability to make a film more accessible, just because you can make a movie means that you should. There is a certain amount of skill and talent that goes into making a feature film. In an age where you can learn the tech behind making a film it feels similar to a time when the emergence of the word processor gave rise to a boom in horror publishing. There were many writers that did not stand the test of time and several publishing houses that have closed up shop. And I’ve known writers who have honed their skills and can churn out short stories based on theme and work count so they can pay the bills. They’re ojay stories, but will they be read a generation from now, hard to say.
And that brings me back to KNOW FEAR. It is a utilitarian genre film. It fills a niche, has some solid performances, it primarily takes place in one location, has no more than five characters, begins with a scare, has a simple but unique concept, and I could go on. It checks all the boxes of the textbook formula for making a horror movie and getting it sold. By watching it you can tell that they probably didn’t spend that much money to make the film, and with two filmmakers taking on five principal jobs in the production it likewise cut down on budget. It feels more like an exercise in making a feature film than a passion project.
A central element to the plot is an ancient book of the occult. Okay, so it looks like a slightly weathered journal they purchased in Staples. In fact, they purchased two, because only one person can see what is written in it, other than what’s written on the inside cover, which is never explained. So here is what is supposed to be this iconic book and what the writing is revealed looks like a small child was scratching out gibberish with a charcoal pencil. Then when they need it most someone doesn't check the fold in page to get the ritual right. All us horror fans know that it is a homage to “The Evil Dead” films. Their book of the dead is so iconic that reproductions have been produced for fans to purchase. From ouija boards, to spell books, and other sinister objects of terror, it has to have a look of authenticity, of evil, not Staples. I know you are working with a budget, but please!
Likewise the demon reveal wasn’t scary. There didn’t seem to be much thought in the way of design and looks like a very practical approach. There is only a small sliver of the demon’s face visible, like one eye. The rest looks to be covered by a cloth.
KNOW FEAR features an impressive cast. They do an exceptional job working with the limited resources to sell the story. For all their passion and talent, they seemed lost in the limited production values and simple plot.
KNOW FEAR is a genre film with lofty ideals that knows very little about fear. It basically has the feel of an independent genre film that I’d be sent to review as an entry to a film festival. It’s not a bad film. For all its bravado it never feels more than an exercise in film making then an effort to entertain.
