Favorite Cushion Foundations

Thoughts on some of the new Wet N' Wild products

Last month, I bought a bunch of the new launches from Wet N Wild and these are my thoughts on each of the items I bought.

Perfect Pout Gel Lip Liner - I bought this is the shade Never Petal Down. These lip liners are supposed to be made with a special polymer formula that seamlessly glides onto lips and leaves color that goes on for days. This did glide on really easily and was not drying at all but I noticed after a little while the liner gathered into the corners of my mouth. At first I thought it was because I wore it under a gloss but it did this every time I used it whether it was on its own, under a lipstick, or under a gloss so for me this liner was a bust. I just think that the formula is a little too gel like for me and my lips.

MegaSlim Skinny Tip Black Eyeliner - I think the name pretty much says it all, this liner is supposed to be extra skinny to help create hair thin lines. Yeah, this does not create hair thin lines. It isn't a bad liner, in fact this would probably be good for creating wings, but it's not good for thin lines along the upper lash line which is why I bought it so I was a bit disappointed with this. Again, it's not a bad liner but it creates a much thicker line than I wanted.

MegaSlim Skinny Mascara - This mascara has a super skinny brush and it's supposed to magnify every lash. I thought this mascara was going to be crappy because again, I have not had good luck with Wet N' Wild mascaras but I was pleasantly surprised by this. It's honestly not my favorite mascara but I really like this on the days where I'm not wearing much makeup or I'm going for a more natural look because it gives my lashes that my lashes but slightly darker and longer look. I also like to use this on my bottom lash line because the brush is so skinny I can really get those lashes without leaving clumps. (NOTE: this mascara does have fibers in it though that it not mentioned on the packaging or the website. I know some people don't like that so I figured I'd mention that here just it case).  

MegaCushion Highlight in Who's That Pearl - I bought this mainly because I've seen cushion foundations and blushes but I haven't really seen contour and highlight so I was curious as to how well they might work. I was really pleasantly surprised by this. It looks really pink when you open this but when it's applied, it's a really nice pearl. This isn't a blinding highlight, it's more of a natural glow type highlight and it's become one of my favorite liquid highlights.

MegaCushion Contour in Café Au Slay! - I'm pretty picky when it comes to contour shades and bronzers but I actually like this and I was not expecting that. I like this particular shade better as a bronzer on me because it is a bit warm but the formula is really nice. It can be more sheer if you want it to be or you can build it up either way it blends so well just not with the sponge that comes with it and that goes for the highlight too. The sponge is crappy but both of these cushion products are really nice.

In short, I didn't like the lip liner or the eyeliner, liked the mascara, and loved the highlight and contour/bronzer. That is it for this post, I'm hoping that I'll be able to get my BoxyCharm Unboxing up tonight if not, it will be up tomorrow so until my next post.
