Fall of the First Man AU picture of Adamspearl (the ship name) with Meg (the s/i) and Sinner!Adam in his more demonic form.
Who is Meg?
What is Fall of the First Man?
(Meg’s redesign explained under the cut)
I recently redesigned Meg’s Ars Goetia design with the help of a couple of friends of mine as my test audience. I think the short-haired version will still be canon to my projects too, but this would be her later seasons look as she grows as a person.
Bonus normal form Sinner!Adam and human disguise Meg:

i) Explain how and why the Muskrat Falls lower Churchill industrial project, Labrador, NL, Canada is a valid, reliable example of unrealistic hydro 'megadam', methane-generating, methyl-mercury, neurotoxic poison-producing, corrupting, colonial, constitutionally corrosive construction.
ii) An unrealistic project that exists within shameful British Crown, Canadian, NL Provincial and Federal ‘legal’ mismanagement tradition.
iii) A contradictory unethical, immoral, constitutionally corrosive, criminal jurisdiction.
iv) A capitalist, corporate, fossil fuel unsustainable development.
v) Enforced by corrupt criminal justice systems, immoral failed leadership UK CA: a root cause of our planet's cost of living climate crisis.
vi) Rapid disinvestment and no new investment is imperative.
vii) Why not protect our sacred waters by draining, mitigating such unconscionable Muskrat Falls megadam reservoirs without delay and revoke similar unsafe hydro megadam operating licences worldwide to prevent further ecological, ecocidal and climatic suicide?
viii) No such new fossil fuel, megadam methane developments should be licensed - assisting Mother Earth stay within 2 degrees Centigrade average global warming by rapidly cutting, rapidly accelerating, atmospheric greenhouse gas emissions as soon as possible. #AI #OpenSource #ChatGPT #Perplexity Llewelyn Pritchard MA 17 July 2023

Amazonian ranchers could innovate to help the rainforest
Tumblr media
It’s an ecosystem like no other. One 19th century explorer called it “the last page of Genesis, yet to be written.” Brazil has been busy drafting that page ever since, sometimes to alarming results.
A fifth of the rainforest has been cleared for farms, cattle grazing and ambitious development schemes such as highways and megadams, too often by lawless means and for only fleeting wealth. Unless the economy, governance and culture of the region undergo a fundamental reset, scientists fear, the entire biome may be on track for irreversible dieback.
So it may sound paradoxical to suggest that beef cattle must be part of the Amazon solution. But that’s the only viable path forward.
We already know a lot about what hasn’t worked. About 40% of Brazil’s 218 million head of cattle graze in the Amazon basin, often under precarious conditions. It takes one to two hectares of pasture on average to sustain a single head of cattle. Even then, prosperity fades quickly. When pastures fail, ranchers traditionally hack their way deeper into the frontier.
That’s the challenge. Now here’s the good news: After decades of research, on top of sometimes devastating trial and error, Brazil today has the tools and experience to glean value from the land without trampling it under — even on Amazon ranchland.

Valentine's Day Commissions -CLOSED-
Tumblr media
That's right, I'm opening commissions for Valentine's Day! Half-body/torso shots, in lineart, flat color, simple shading, and fully rendered quality!
If interested, DM me and we can discuss details and answer any questions you might have.
TOS below
-Open until the end of February 2025
-Please provide reference images of you/your OC and your f/o when we discuss details. If you don’t have any, describe the characters as best you can, and/or use images that are similar or can be used to help describe them
-Payments are made after the sketch stage has been approved by the customer(s). Once inking/coloring has begun there are NO refunds
-I will DM each stage (sketch, lineart, colored, shaded) as I progress so that you can tell me of any changes or mistakes on the way
-Any major changes past the lineart stage will cost 5-10 USD extra
-I don’t set deadlines for myself
Will
-Canon x OC/self-insert
-Almost any fandom (see “won't” section for exceptions)
-Live-action characters (they will come out cartoon/animated-looking)
-Romantic, platonic, familial relationships
-Shared f/os (meaning if your f/o is also one of mine (past or present) I will still do your commission)
Won't
-Underage characters with adults
-Beastiality (if your f/o looks like an animal but is of or over human intelligence, I am willing to discuss it.
Example: Your f/o is a dragon that is established to be a person, not a lesser animal that does not understand human emotion/can't convey human emotion or is considered a lesser animal in the source material. Toothless from "How to Train Your Dragon" is considered a lesser animal even though he is an intelligent one. Sisu from "Raya and the Last Dragon" is considered a person because dragons in the lore are equal to humans and she speaks.
-NSFW of any kind
-Transformers/Autobots and Warriors Cats (I'm not skilled enough in those areas)
-Real people (YouTubers, reality show cast members, anyone that is not playing a fictional character, but is filming as themselves)
-More than three characters per picture
-Hateful or politically charged topics (Example: You and your f/o killing/maiming your least favorite character
-Violence/gore of any kind. These are VALENTINE’S DAY themed commissions. All about love and hope. Even the origin of the holiday was about love.

The Itaipu Dam is a hydroelectric dam located on the Parana River on the border of Brazil and Paraguay. The dam set a world record producing the most energy of any dam in the world. The record was sat at 103,098,366 megawatt hours (MWh). Itaipu Dam reaches a height of 643 feet (196 m) and stretches across the Parana River 25,981 feet (7,919 m). The dam volume tops out at 430,000,000 cubic feet (12,300,000 cubic m). The dam creates the Itaipu Reservoir with a surface area of 24,000,000 acres. The Itaipu Dam has a spillway capacity of 2,200,000 cubic feet per second (62,200 cubic m/s). The American Society of Civil Engineers designated Itaipu Dam with the honor of being one of the Seven Modern Wonders of the World. The iron and steel used to create Itaipu Dam would be able to create 380 Eiffel Towers, whereas the amount of concrete used could create 210 football stadiums. Roy has declared the folly of her hyphenated reputation as a “writer-activist” -- a writer for her novel and an activist for her essays against nuclear proliferation, dam building, and the privatization of electricity and water provisions [...]. Roy wrote “The Greater Common Good” to garner attention and support [...] a grassroots movement protesting India’s construction of the Sardar Sarovar and other megadams and canals [...]. These dams, marketed as Nehruvian nationalist symbols of India’s technological prowess, resulted in the displacement of over 33 million people, [...] whose otherness permits their exploitation in the name of the national good [...].
Where The God of Small Things indirectly reproached collusions between the Indian state and transnational capital, “The Greater Common Good” explicitly addresses them. The essay suggests that [...] ecological survival demands [...] the ability to balance the complexities of place with a long-distance understanding of connection [...] and understanding. This difficult task is made more difficult when such features of collectivity are obscured by state secrecy, the international division of labor, and the inaccessibility of the global economy’s controlling institutions.
However, Roy responds to the invisible isolation of the dispossessed and the complicity of the privileged [...]: “It’s very important for me to tell politics like a story, to make it real, to draw a link between a man with his child and what fruit he had in the village he lived in before he was kicked out, and how that relates to [...] the World Bank.”

The megadam project has since met criticisms as it stood to submerge hectares of ancestral domains, and displace about 17,000 indigenous peoples and a million more people who may be affected by the flooding that the dam may cause.
"The effect of [the mega dam project] had a large impact on our family’s daily livelihood. We don’t have food to eat, income, and job. That is our major problem, and we need immediate assistance from the government so that they can help us in our livelihood,” Romeo Castor, 65, a resident of Alibunan village in Calinog and a member of the Tumanduk tribe, said in an online interview.
For human rights groups, the promised progress that the project would supposedly bring to their communities is nowhere to be found.
Before the [Tumandok 9] killing, they were subjected to relentless harassment and red-tagging – an unfortunate testament to how the Philippines continue to be among the most dangerous countries in Asia for land and environmental defenders, according to a report from independent watchdog Global Witness.
“No one has been held accountable. There was no case filed,” Alenciaga [coordinator of the grassroots Jalaur River for the People Movement] added.
2023 Dec. 30
This Dec. 30 marks the 3rd year death anniversary of the 9 Tumandok farmers and indigenous community leaders who were red-tagged and subsequently killed during police raids at alleged NPA hotspots in Iloilo and Capiz.
Meanwhile, [Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) Brig. Gen.] Miranda [said] the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), particularly the Army, was not involved in the operations. He reiterated that these were purely police operations.
But there were unconfirmed reports of government soldiers under the 301st Infantry Brigade (301 IB) participating in the operations.
The Tumandok nga Mangunguma nga Nagapangapin sa Duta kag Kabuhi (TUMANDOK) group alleged that government forces stormed into houses of local IP leaders early morning of Wednesday, and forcibly arrested some occupants.
2020 Dec. 30
Seven of the nine persons who were killed were identified as Roy Giganto, Eliseo Gayas Jr., Mauro Diaz, Arcelito Katipunan, Mario Aguirre, Jomer Vidal, and Dalson Catamin.
Police also arrested [16 -] 17 others.
CIDG-6 claimed that nine were killed for allegedly fighting back and resisting arrest. But this was refuted by the victims’ families, claiming that the nine victims were forcefully dragged from their homes and shot.
“It appears that the services of these warrants were nothing more than an excuse to carry out an operation intended to kill and arrest local leaders that have been actively advocating for the rights and interest of farmers and indigenous peoples,” said the National Union of Peoples’ Lawyers (NUPL) Panay Island Chapter.
2021 Jan. 2
As of December 30, 15 of the 16 who had been arrested through search warrants were released after the said warrants were junked.
However, “the perpetrators of the murders were never bought to justice,” the statement [by Defend Panay Network and the Panay People’s Coalition] said. “The AFP and the PNP continue to terrorize the IP communities with their presence and verbal threats of a repeat of the massacre.”

On June 21, 2019 Canada commemorates National Indigenous Peoples Day. Earlier in June, the Missing and Murdered Women and Girls report came out, calling Canada's treatment of Indigenous peoples "genocide." So now, what do we do? On National Indigenous Peoples Day, the Activist Toolkit is highlighting organizing that's being done to stop the continued discrimination. Stand with these organizers.
Stand with land and water defenders. Right now, the Secwepemc Land Defenders and their Tiny House Warriors are working to block the planned route of the Trans Mountain Expansion pipeline. Water defenders are also standing against the Muskrat Falls megadam project. These are just two fights: across Canada, there are First Nations communities standing up for the environment. Don't be fickle. The news cycle and focus on who is in the mainstream media is difficult for organizers because there is a tendency for public support to wane when the organization is no longer in the news. Pick an organization like Idle No More or Pull Together and continue to stand with them. It will take sustained attention and action to make real change.
