my sister bamboozled me into being productive by using inertia and my head is still spinning 😆

She watched me sit and not do the dishes (because I hate it SO MUCH) and so she got devious. She said, "Hey, there's a cup of water on my desk. I'm already in bed. Can you go pour it out in the sink?"

So I picked up the water, and of course the dirty plates, and headed to the sink. And then stopped. And glared at her.

"Are you making me stand up and start in the right direction so that I do it?"

"Yes."

Ah yes. An object in motion tends to stay in motion.

I glared harder. "Fine! But I'm NOT washing these. I'm pouring out the water and that's IT."

So I get to the sink. I pour out the water. I set everything down. Objects at rest.

...But listen. When I set things on the counter, the dish soap is RIGHT THERE. And there's dishrags in arm's reach. And the drying mat is still out.

"...Dangit."

Megan came to look as she heard the water running. Brought a giant smug grin with her too.

Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. So I threw the towel at her.

God I really need to watch more movies in general, because I've had entire years where I didn't watch any at all.

I think I'm gonna cheat a lil and make it my top five favorite horror movies, because that's most of what I watch anyway, and most of what I've seen recently. (I tend to do a horror movie marathon with my best friend for my birthday.)

For the memorable scene I don’t remember the name of the fic but the glasses cleaning scene when Jared is trying to say I love you for the first time and can’t and he holds Evan’s extended hand and Evan is like “I meant give me your glasses??” waaaaahhh that one is rotating in my mind often!
