Lost Light Failboy Host Club

Rodimus (red) - "prince" type. in reality he's totally daft and extremely self-important. he's considered the "most attractive" of the hosts so he's on all the company's promotions. if a girl likes him, it's more likely they have a general interest in confident men who are sure of themselves.

Drift (gray) - "bad boy" type. he's actually really bad at that, though. he can bare his fangs and sharpen his nails as much as he wants, but girls who like being degraded won't get anything out of him. he feels awful being mean to clients, so he's actually really nice, even a little awkward.

Magnus (navy blue) - "studious" type. maybe a little too studious? he's very respectful and kind to all his clients and he speaks rather eloquently, but he also has a law degree and will just infodump about it sometimes. some people like that, so he still has a decent amount of regulars, but more often than not people will ask for him once and then get more than they bargained for.

Tailgate (light blue) - "cute boy" type. you definitely Do get a cute boy if you pick him, so it's not like it's false advertizing, it's moreso just that he has a habit of really badly embellishing stories, which his regulars have started to notice. he still has two Very dedicated regulars though who can see through his bs.

Rung (orange) - "counselor" type. he has this really calming energy about him, and he's knowledgeable about a lot of subjects, and he has nothing but good reviews… from those who actually remember to review him. most people don't know he exists. he only has one consistent regular who is also ironically plagued with amnesia.

Brainstorm (teal green) - "excitable" type. look there's no two ways about it. he's loud and energetic and all over the place and he keeps coming up with dumbfuck ideas that only make sense to him. guests either love him for his good energy or hate him for being obnoxious.

Chromedome (yellow) - "landmine" type. again, y'know, no polite way to say it. CD is super fucking depressed and demanding of care and attention. if he thinks a regular is going to pick someone else, he has a massive breakdown. some guests think they're fake or staged but the other workers are very adamant that CD is just like that.

Other Workers

Swerve - bartender. he's really nice and good to talk to, a lot of people think he's the real reason to come to the club (if he would just stop talking about racing for a second.) if he wasn't so busy as a bartender, he could reasonably be a host.

Rewind - photographer. he's in charge of getting all the photos for the club's promos, and of course he has a lot of photos of rodimus, but… doesn't he also focus on chromedome a little much?

Fort Max - head of security. don't piss him off please trust me.

Minimus - manager. yes, manager by day, host by night, minimus lives a double-life. someone needs to budget the finances, and no one is really more qualified than him. he's desperately in need of a vacation.

Guests

Ratchet - kind of not a guest? he's drift's actual real boyfriend. he almost never actually goes in the club and will often wait outside until drift is done with work. he's a doctor so it's not like he can't afford to go in, it's just that he doesn't want to interrupt drift during work or drive clients away from him.

Megatron - collesseum warehouse worker who also does freelance writing in his off-time. he was saving up to kickstart a career in politics, until the other warehouse workers roped him into checking out the host club. he loves listening to magnus talk about law and will often discuss politics with him.

Cyclonus - old money who runs a "family business" (it's probably a mob but he won't say that.) his work involves a lot of shady characters so he's used to seeing through bs and could tell tailgate was lying instantly. tailgate helps a lot of his anger just disappear.

Whirl - what's his job? who knows! probably something illegal! his favourite hobby is lying so he also saw through tailgate very quickly. he and cyclonus are in constant fights for tailgate's attention- very much rivals.

Skids - wow! what a pretty neon sign! i've never been here before! (he has.) and there's a cute ginger inside! i should go meet him! (they have met.)

Perceptor - he's a biologist in town on business. he honestly just got super lost in the district the club is in and he went in to ask for directions, and met brainstorm. he was so instantly charmed by his idiocy that he now stops by whenever he has time.

Prowl - chromedome's ex who keeps buying time with him to argue. chromedome keeps saying he's gonna get prowl blacklisted but it hasn't happened yet.

Tfa megmags, Ultra Magnus was one to fuck it up and completely shatter Megatrons trust in him.

im a multi shipper at heart so im gonna answer for the three continuities im most invested in

for g1 id say probably galvatron/cyclonus. something about this big dumb guy absolutely head over heels for an insane guy who doesnt care for him.

my fave tfa ship is probably megmags. like omg. i cant even explain it. its just perfect. let those old men fuck

and for tfp it's complicated. i wanna say megop because its the best version of megop. but my heart says megatron/ knockout. you gotta hear me out on this one. they are just two bitches. and we of course know that ko has a thing for big mechs. i think they would have some fun dynamics. and be bitchy together

Megatron wants to be punished for his crimes, Minimus, despite being a military Commander/Exenforcer has self esteem and body image issues. I found the perfect way they can help each other out.

Megatron gets the punishment he craves in a safe loving way. Minimus gets the respect and responsibility he feels his Smol proportions could never grant him.

Side note: This would also be the only time Megatron would be ok with a tower mech owning his peasant aft. (:
