here - i’ll take this as a chance to make a little mini masterpost on why mephone and mepad are not siblings

4 and 4s are the only confirmed pair of meeple siblings

it has never been said that mephone and mepad are siblings

actually, it’s never been said that any meeple devices are related outside of 4 and 4s

mephone 5 and 5c are dating/married canonically. if all meeple devices were related, that would mean there was CANONICAL incest in ii. which… yeah no i think we all know AE wouldn’t do that.

someone asked if mephone and mepad were related on a live stream, and the answer given was that meeple devices cannot be related in the human sense of the word. they are ROBOTS.

“but they were created by the same person!!” yeah… so were all of the contestants. do you think they’re all siblings?

cobs didn’t birth them, he just created them, as did mephone. it’s like creating ocs - when you create ocs, are they all automatically related just because you made them all? no, of course not, and the same applies here.

you’re perfectly welcome to headcanon them as siblings, but please recognize that that’s all it is…a headcanon. it isn’t canon, no matter how much of the fandom headcanons it.

you don’t see me coming at people for headcanoning them as siblings. i really don’t care if people do, i care when they attack me for not headcanoning it, and instead choose to ship them.

the relationship between mephone and mepad is the same as the relationship between any of the contestants.

it’s just two people who were created (not birthed. CREATED.) by the same person. if shipping the contestants is fair ground (which…it obviously is) then shipping them is also fair ground.

also - dont try and bring up the wiki as “proof” they’re related. the wiki is fan made, and it’s a huge misconception in the fandom that they’re related. that’s why it’s there.

the only way ill ever change my stance on that is if someone can show me ACTUAL evidence that they are, i.e one of the main 3 (brian, justin, adam) saying that they ARE related, not that they see them as having a brotherly bond or something like that, them saying that they are, in fact, brothers.

please just leave me alone and let me ship what i want. it’s really not hurting anyone. i don’t attack people for hc them as brothers, so please have the same respect for me.

I think II s4 will never happen and it probably SHOULDN'T happen

(idk if this is a hot take or not)

because, the ending of season 3 had the message of "you can't do this forever" and the ending of season 2 really did feel like the end of II thematically. Cobs is dead, MePad is dead, Knife is a ghost, MePhone4 has no reason to host it anymore, everyone is finding themselves outside of the show

the only continuation of II I can see happening is like a mini series of what everyone is up to after II, but in the show it's canon everyone knows they're in a show, so this kinda implies they'd willingly go back on a show again after II (which I don't think is likely for many past contestants)

though, don't get me wrong i would LOVE more II, I actually think more would ruin the message of the show. and if MePhone4 comes back to run another season then like....all of his s3 and late s2 character development would kinda be for nothing.......

Hello everyone! This askblog is based around an II polycule and their fankids that I’ve been ranting about over on @numberonetacostan’s blog for the past few days as ✨ anon. The polycule is Microphone x Taco x MePad x Toilet, unofficially dubbed micopadlet/Electric Brits. Below is a quick explanation of the polycule members and their kids, alongside their assigned emoji/text color that I’ll use to show who is talking in a post.

Taco: 🌮, green text

She/her, bisexual

Likely my main focus, Taco is in a romantic relationship with both Mic and MePad, while also being in a queer-platonic relationship with Toilet. She’s spent a lot of time working on herself in the past few years, and though she still struggles, she’s gotten a lot better. Though, her own issues like to make themselves known as often as they can, but her partners are always there to help.

Microphone: 🎤, purple text

She/they, pansexual demiromantic

Mic is only in a romantic relationship with both Taco and MePad, though she is comfortable with Toilet and has a nice platonic relationship with him. Unfortunately, both her and Taco tend to fall back into old habits on occasion, resulting in some tension and relationship issues that are typically resolved fairly quickly. Over the years since the show’s end, she’s gotten better about standing up for herself and setting clear boundaries.

MePad: 📱, pink text

He/it, asexual biromantic

Probably the most mentally healthy of them all, MePad might as well be the only one keeping everyone else sane. He’s in a romantic relationship with everyone else in the polycule, and tends to be a comforting and helpful presence wherever he is. It tends to be the one to help out Mic and Taco when they have struggles within their relationship.

Toilet: 🚽, blue text

He/him, ???

The newest addition to the polycule, Toilet is in a romantic relationship with MePad, a queer-platonic relationship with Taco, and has a great friendship with Microphone. He’s always happy to spend time around the rest of the polycule, and, though he has his own struggles, manages to put a smile on everyone’s faces no matter the situation.

And here are the kids:

Portable CD Player: 💿, orange text

She/it, 14 years old

The eldest kid, and Mic and Taco’s first, she inherited quite a lot of traits from her mother, Taco. She has heterochromatic red and green eyes, retractable arms, and an apparent inability to sleep. Though she does have the ability to play CDs, she often doesn’t as it requires a lot of energy. It acts a lot like its mother and has similar mannerisms to her. It’s also incredibly protective over the rest of the kids, especially the babies.

Mini Mic: 🎙️, purple and green text

She/her, 8 years old

Taco and Mic’s second kid, Mini Mic resembles one of those small, fluffy microphones. Though she inherited her mother’s height, she shares more similarities with Mic, and has a similar personality to how she acted early on in season 2. She absolutely loves her older sister and is practically her shadow.

Restaurant Tablet: 🖥️, pink and green text

He/him, 9 years old

Born to Taco and MePad, Restaurant Tablet is just a year older than Mini Mic, and takes much of his appearance from MePad. He has the same screen color, and idolizes his father, following him around like a lost puppy most of the time. However, he seems to have inherited his mother’s love of citrus, though he prefers limes.

Speaker: 🔈, purple and pink text

They/them, 5 years old

The child of Mic and MePad, they’re a bit of an odd one out amongst the kids. Appearing like a cylindrical portable speaker, they’re fairly shy and quiet, preferring their solitude unlike their more rambunctious siblings. Due to struggling to control their volume, they’re almost mute, and rarely speak. Additionally, when they do speak, stripes of LED lights along their sides light up! While they are quite small due to only being five, they’ll be as tall as Mic once they’re older.

Paper Towel Dispenser & Air Hand Dryer: 🧻, blue and pink text

Both he/him, 3 years old

These two are the twins born to MePad and Toilet! Despite their young age and lack of arms, they’re a force to be reckoned with, and cannot be left unsupervised due to the trouble they cause. Their older brother, Restaurant Tablet, absolutely loves them.

Tea Cup: ☕️, blue and green text

She/her, 9 months old

Born to Toilet and Taco, Tea Cup is the baby of the family! Like the twins, she has no arms, and is currently a solid white tea cup, devoid of patterns. Not unlike a siamese cat, her patterning will develop as she gets older, leaving everyone in the family excited to see what she’ll look like later on. CD Player pretends to be neutral towards her, but loves the little one, and often volunteers to watch her.
