I like to think that Mer!Tory has sharp teeth. They aren’t razor sharp but slightly pointy and good for ripping things apart and bitting. She shows them off a lot to try and intimidate other merfolk.

I feel like bitting is also pretty common when it comes to merpeople.

Between fighting over territory and food, they also use their teeth and biting to mark things as theirs. This includes their mates.

Mer-people mate for life so they show off their mates by leaving marks and bites. Leaving huge hickeys and bite marks is extremely common if not completely normal. Having huge hickies on open skin or spotting new bites or even long-lasting scared teeth marks is seen as a way to tell if someone is mated or being courted.

Mer!Tory is extremely over protective of her mate even if they aren’t a mer-person like her but a human.

During mating season it’s even worse. She finds every reason to be over protective of her mate during that time period. Even her friends being around them can tick her off. Keeping Reader away from them is the only real option to not have her try and claw their eyes out for even looking at her mate. She snarls and grows if she thinks they have gotten too close for her liking.

Her kisses are hard and slow during those days. She spends more time sucking and biting along the other girls neck. Even all over their chest if she gets the opportunity. She grins the whole time as she marks them up as much as she can during the time they spend together. When she looks at the beautiful marks she made all over them she can’t help but grin.

To her it's just protecting and showing off her territory.

Everyone has to know Reader is hers and no one can change that.

See, Meredith (Mer) is a Justice Nymph, all high and mighty, knows the laws, reads the books and leaves Jasper's library a dastardly mess. *rolles eyes and sips* WELL, she's about to get an assignment, and BOY HOWDY is Jas going to be on her ass about it. See, it's not Anna or Abrielle, but it is a couple people he is VERY, VERY fond of - Jean Pierre and Armaund. You remember them, Anna's good friends and fellow founders of the Triad in NOLA. YES...sugar...THOSE TWO!!

So, see, they're being accused of peddling influence, and punishing the innocent; and well, Jas doesn't take kindly to his friends of three centuries having some uppity Justice Nymph all up in their stuff. So, he tags along and he is not going to give her one minute of peace.

Now, like film bros, she THINKS she is all that and knows it all, but really only knows a lot about a very specific area. And where she is going, CHILD, she is nowhere near that area. She starts uncovering shit, and LAWD AMERCY, she is going to be in over her cute little head. Of course Jas isn't going to let her forget that neither.

So...she's about to get good old schooled on the real law, and where the fun books are in the library as these two discover the truth...and maybe Mer learns something about that demon she's been shitting on for a few centuries. At least she might start putting those law books back before he kicks her cute ass out.

So in a way, yes, Mer would qualify as a "law sis" and Jas is going to show her how little she truly knows. *grins and clinks teacups*

Mers :D Uhh codboy and stuffs Grian design by tori owl fluff but im not going to @ em bc they aren’t a noms person from what I know. Background for this picture is, Grian was being used as bait to lure Ren and Doc as they destroy hunting boats. Scar Finds Grian instead and after getting fired at bites the chain off and takes Grian with him. Grian knows It’s safe but doesn’t like it. @thegoatvores

TEAL BEGINS!! this and the following two drawings were the hardest for me this entire month AHH. today features - who the hell is THIS now?! well remember that yellow pic of Oiolyka a few days ago - here’s her aforementioned husband Glaukos! SEE I TOLD YOU TO REMEMBER THE NAME :-))) notes!!

MERMAID MERMAID- Well,, merman, whatever. can you believe we have an entire mer person in here and I’ve only ever drawn him ONCE BEFORE THIS?!?!

Glaukos is one of the original early early Elysium’verse characters like Oiolyka is, he was one of Maci and (pre-deified still mortal) Tory’s first ever close friends and uhhhh………….. partners 😏, before they got married!! He lives in the waters of the Blessed Isles of Elysium

Glaukos actually used to be mortal long long ago and ate like, wacky poison herbs that almost killed him but turned him into a god and a mermaid instead so he and Tory became apotheosis buddies 🥰

I spoke a lil about him on Oiolyka’s pic, but when they had their quadruplets he moved deeper in the water with her and also completely off screen. Every so often he’ll pop up to make rare cameos! Unlike the rest of Maci & Tory’s playthings, Glaukos never lived in the palace formally though he did often show up in the pool and bathtubs

FUN FACT actually when Glaukos was an Elysium regular & back in the day he had much longer hair!! When the quads were toddlers (three girls and one boy, I have literally never drawn them and it’s been 15 whole years) they chopped his hair off while he was sleeping so he just kept it short forever after lmfao

I have drawn him so infrequently that I. Have never drawn the long hair. I will get around to it eventually though! I prommy

@gemini-sensei, just my own basic thoughts, wish I had better visual representation of these.

Robby:A shiny gold with a green highlight, his dad has a gold tail and his mom a green one. He has the best of both. Around his waist and along his fins are a pretty bright green and the rest of his tail is green. He only has two fins.

Miguel: Orange base with gold highlights all over, mixed match patches. Only has two fins.

Hawk/Eli:Deep purple with bright shiny blue, his colors fade as they go from bottom go top, blue fins that turn purple as they go up his tail. Has two fins but flowy.

Demetri: Exact same as Hawk but bright green that fades into a pastel green.

Sam: Pastel purple with amber highlights. Around her waist is a neat band of amber from her mom and the rest of her tail is pastel purple from her dads side. Has two sets of fins, one set near her hips and her bottom ones.

Anthony:Solid amber like his mom, one set of fins.

Tory: Gold with black fins. Gold fades to black at her fins. One set of fins.

Moon:Bright pink and blue patch work. She has two sets of fins at the bottom of her tail, very long.

Yasmine: Hot pink with light yellow fins, pink fades into yellow. Two sets of fins like Moon.

Johnny:Pure gold. One set of frilled fins.

Daniel:Solid Deep blue with only speckles of light purple. Two sets of fins like Sam.

Amanda: Solid Amber, one set of fins that are long and flowy.

Soooo,, mer AU eccentrics. All ik about Wataru is ginourmous fish person but I'm intrigued I wanna know more about them I saw on your sizing chart that Shu is like. Massive

Wataru is: big fish person he regularily swims around OES' Headquarters, and thought not having a specific area he calls home spends a lot of time on the outskirts of hiyori's personal territory (tori views him from within the boundaries, he's... a bit scary. Tori, being smaller than a regular human male, and about the size of one of wataru's eyes <3)

Rei is a bigggg squid he's not all too involved in OES at the current time due to simply not wishing to, but he lives in the deep drop of the ocean floor nearer to the closest sea village of OES - Kaoru is a half mer surfer, and Rei has dragged one too many human's down to the sea floor, but for some reason this blond man can breathe underwater. Maybe Rei has something to do now.

Shu kinda stays off on his own for the most part after having being heavily injured and mentally scarred by a past OES operation back when OES hadn't split off from it's founding company - he lives nearer to wataru's haunts but deeper in the ocean (BIG PINK OCTOPUS.) Mika visits him daily. (think, 2nd year.) (more information below w the aramika Question page

Falando sobre minhas leituras de 2023.

Alerta de Spoiler, aqui tem conteúdo sobre livros que li nesse ultimo ano.

Tudo sempre tem um inicio e um fim, pois para mim não existe fim até que termina o livro e começa um novo e outro novo até me deixar com uma ressaca daquelas.

Eu sempre começo com livros que me chama atenção ou lendo ebooks, mas apesar que bem tudo tem realmente um começo, vou dizer que esse 2023 foi um ano de leitura que vai me deixar com saudade de ler o ACOTAR, Flores Feitas de Espinhos, Ás de Espadas, Um Ano Solitário, outras leituras incríveis.

Universos maravilhosos que encheu minha estante de livros, descobrir a diversidade da literatura mostrou a liberdade e pontos de vistas únicos de personagens marcantes.

Em um ponto de vista, me inspirou até escrever essa opinião boba e sem graça, que todo mundo faz, mas a leitura que está me prendendo ainda mais é o Portador da Espada, eu estou gamada no Conor realmente é um dos personagens que gosto muito.

Mas também no ACOTAR, eu conheci realmente um pouco o Rhys no primeiro, na minha opinião achei um babaca lindo e maravilhoso, eu fiquei cega pelo Tam, até ler o ACOMAF e ver a realidade, Feyre realmente mostrou um pouco minha raiva da personagem, mas gosto de personagens fortes, o ACOTAR foi a primeiras boas vindas do universo da J Maas que comecei a me apaixonar por feéricos.

Mas também tem a Oseman que mostrou em seu livro Um Ano Solitário, um livro incrível viciante e cativante, mostra a vida de Tori, realmente mesmo sendo uma jovem triste, não a acho triste, mas vi realmente que nem toda adolescência é algo como uma série de comédia romântica clichê, eu gostei do ponto de vista mais sério e as questões de jovens, que comecei a ler o Heartstopper, realmente é um quadrinho incrível.

Esses são minhas leituras, se pudesse falaria de todas, mas vou deixar essas por hoje, mesmo assim foi um ano inesquecível de leituras que me fez, rir, amar, chorar, raiva uma mistura de emoções únicas, eu espero pelo menos encerrar minha lista de livro, pois essa lista nunca acaba.

Pois, também tem romances picantes, na maioria quando leio romance que tem teor maior de 18 anos, eu não coloco as cenas fortes do livro, pois quero manter uma boa imagem do livro, mas o que me pegou foi O Rei da Terra do Nunca, o ebook.

Eu fiquei intrigada, curiosa e pensativa sobre o ebook para definir minhas emoções, diria que foi um romance dark para uma primeira vez a entrar em romances dark, foi muito, mas muito picante, estou sendo sincera dessa vez.

Agora outro romance que mais gostei foi A Hipótese do Amor, da Hazelwood foi realmente um livro incrível e adoro colecionar os romances da autora genial que Hazelwood é, realmente Olive e Adam são meu casal favorito e eu adoro uma releitura do Star Wars.

Mais Quente Que Fogo, o meu primeiro ebook que foi quase de graça quando comprei ele, abriu as portar para eu ler no meu celular, eu adorei o Roth e a Layla, mas o final não me agradou muito, eu virei muito uma fã do Roth e menos no Zayne, sei que todo mundo deve gostar do Zayne, mas ele não me agradou muito. Dark elemental, não é muito um romance dark, apenas no nome sendo sincera, mas é um bom ebook, eu pensei em comprar varias vezes o livro, mas ai veio o ebook e comprei o ebook.

Depois de tantos os livros que mais quero em 2024 vai sair em ebook, vou tentar o máximo, mas tem tantos livros que quero em 2024, mas sei que vou levar o CC3 em ebook, já tenho o CC2 em ebook, agora eu vou levar o Fourth Wing / Quarta Asa da Yarros em livro físico.

Bem eu disse que tem muitos livros que quero esse ano, mas até lá vou deixar por enquanto que não sou de dar noticia sempre fico de vigia no meu insta por livros que quero muito, bem tive uns probleminhas com meu instagram, mas tudo voltou ao normal.

Não sou muito fã de rede social, mas preciso me flexibilizar e deixar a rede social entrar em minha vida, eu noto que tanto instagram, tiktok e outros meios de publicação, ajudam na hora de saber mais sobre livros, mercado editorial, animes e outros, em breve vou falar muito mais por aqui, até agora boas festas a todo mundo.
