I’m too lazy to color them so I used the watercolor brushes, never disappoint.

One of the couple different fan-translations of the bridge for the opening song of Trigun Stampede. I've also seen a few more along the lines of "If I could do one thing right now/ I’d wanna burn whole/ If I could be a spark/ In someone’s darkness." Any of your nerds out there know which translation is more accurate??? Either way I felt the line encapsulates Vash's character well, and it inspired me to make this piece.

I also love Meryl. And them together. So yeah. 😅

The lighting in this piece really kicked my butt. I struggled so hard with it; that's why I teased this piece for the first time months ago! But here it finally is! Also, random, but I really love how the moons look. 👌

"It's been more than a few days!" Inspired truly by my own experience

I’ve said before how I’d like to see more vashmeryl around Vash’s plant Angelness but I wanna bring it up again, because in some older fics on fanfiction they kinda described it through knives pov which I liked a lot.

Knives noticing that his brother’s energy seemed to buzz and become reactive in a non Angel arm cannon way when around meryl, and how he could literally see the difference even thinking about the woman did to Vash like extreme hormonal reactions

And then knives kinda being forced to comprehend and unpack these feelings his brother his having because twin link shenanigans. And just subconsciously picking up Meryl behaviour and a new lense being lowkey put on for him because Vash’s love buzz energy jusy overflows onto knives and he’s like “well now I can’t just kill her” and kinda reinforces to knives that Vash does comprehend and understand nothing he feels about Meryl is based from feelings from Rem. Because 140 years and no feelings Vash had about Rem changed anything about how Knives felt.

Also like the idea of knives being the biter and Vash being the smother’er. Like knives will leave marks for memories on Meryl but Vash is dedicated to finding the most effective way to take up as most of Meryl’s physical realestate

I am a sucker for that shit.

As for the colouring, decided to give Knives a khaki green shirt because it brings out the blue in his eyes. Vash is wearing a baja blast coloured shirt to match his eyes.
