They are so big and so cute! And if Huggin and Munnin are well above the average size of ravens they could be nearly the size of Tim's torso. Certainly bigger than his head. Plus they are so, so smart. Some of the smartest birds in the world. Imagine Tim getting in kidnapped as a civilian and Huggin simply grabs the key for him while Munnin acts as a look out. Tim escapes without ever being seen.
Tim also has special "bird doors" in his Nest so the whole place is filled with his many birds. Sure not all of them live there because he set up dozens of safe places around the city that are basically just Reall Big Pigeon Roosts with bird feeders in them that all types of birds are allowed in. Also the bird doors are much to small for any human to fit through, much like dog and cat doors are, and they do have actual sliding metal doors on them that are opened and unlocked by proximity of the little cameras he put on some of his birds. Roughly 4 owls, 8 pigeons, 3 Bluejays, 2 hawks, 17 crows, 9 grackles, and 20 ravens have access to his Nest. Are those a lot of keys just flying around the city? Yes. But no one knows the birds are his, Tim is constantly trying to make smaller and smaller cameras for them so that they will never be spotted, and who the fuck is gunna point to a random bird and go "that bitch has the key to Red Robin's house." And be believed by anyone who would help them catch a fucking pigeon that's just minding their own buisness?business??
The only beings who notice the cameras are other birds and the strange sparkly spot on his birds chest? It only gives his birds more Rizz. There was a study about how Zebra Finches actually preferred to mate with those who had on red tracking tags over other colors so what if this is similar? This would also mean that every spring Tim has an exponentially larger amount of birds.
Also the funniest way for the family to find out. It's one of the very rare sunny days in summer where it's Actually Hot in Gothem so the family decides it's the perfect day to use the pool in the back yard of Wayne Manor. Everyone is having an amazing time and eventually Tim gets tired so he sits down on one of the reclining pool chairs for a rest and snack, which is his chocolate free trail mix. He has a large bowl of it and ends up falling asleep with it in his lap. Just as the siblings are giggling and deciding what prank to play, a crow lands next to Tim and sqwacks a few times. Tim mumbles in his sleep but doesn't move so the bird hops up onto Tim's chair and starts to eat out of his bowl. Since it doesn't get shooed away, soon others are joining it. The family watches in amazement as Tim gets *covered* in birds that are casually eating from his bowl. There's even a pair of hawks that are perched above his head. When the bowl is empty, one of the crows bites Tim on the nose, startling him awake and he glares at the feathery fiend and very gently taps it on the beak as he scolds, "Monroe, I told you to stop biting my nose. Wait- you guys ate all my trail mix!" He has forgotten that his siblings are there because it's usually the birds or siblings, never both.
Oh, and when they eventually ask why he hid the birds, Tim simply says, "last time anyone found out, Janet called an exterminator."
I love this so much. Him building little nests all over the city for them is adorable and great. It would be cool if he started that before his Robin years as he was out and about in Gotham. He just built small little safe places for the birds, and it rapidly expanded as Tim got more experience, more resources, and more birds to look after.
Your logic with the keys is fantastic! When the batfam finds out, I bet birds pop by Tim's place while whatever family member is just chilling. Like maybe they are watching a movie and said bat gets distracted by the coming and goings of various birds (the birds probably also mess a bit with Tim or his space as fond pestering before leaving again). Maybe a few are just staring at the family member without blinking or taking a nap.
I wonder if Damian would start to make excuses to go over to Tim's Nest as much as possible. He states he needs to "ensure Timothy is maintaining adequate nesting conditions for the various species of birds" or that he will "test the Nest's security" by dropping by unannounced and breaking in.
Perhaps some of the birds watch over his various family members for Tim? Especially Duke because nobody else works the day shift with him, and birds are more common during the day (and thus less suspicious).

Raiden Headcanons
Tumblr media
⊹˚. ♡˖This post will include mixed headcanons of both Raiden himself and what he’s like in a relationship!
♡ Word Count: 1.501
♡ Warnings: None!
(This is fully gender neutral on reader’s side!)
Tumblr media
- He’s a shy guy, he probably confessed to you as red as a tomato and stuttering as if he’s about to go into cardiac arrest.
- He’s very interested in nature. He loves birds and squirrels. Probably has a dozen encyclopedias in his place about various animals, earth and space.
- Absolutely loves lofi/indie/indie folk music. Usually listens to whatever calms his mind, not so keen to rock/metal/pop music but he likes to listen to late 2000s / early 2010s hits because of Kung Lao and Johnny.
- Plant dad. He has lots of plants, flowers and vegetables in his garden and in the house. He likes taking care of them, and spends a lot of time to make sure every one of them is healthy.
- Loves both dogs and cats, so he’s neither a dog or a cat person. He would love to adopt one each, if not more. Knowing his love for animals, he would always leave a big bowl of water and food outside his garden so strays can drink and eat; regularly checks it so he can fill them up when they’re empty. Definitely has a bird feeder somewhere.
- His love languages are words of affirmation and acts of service. He will shower you with compliments, always support your decisions (unless they’re concerning) and he will do his best helping you with all the work. He will help you with chores, running errands, cooking, baking, even your own work if he has an idea of what it is. He loves giving gifts as well but he makes sure it’s either handmade or something he thinks you would really like.
- He has a super calm personality. He’s a pacifist, he sees fight as the absolute last option in a situation.
- He’s a stay at home guy, not really keen on social stuff but he’ll have a great time with you and friends if you come up with outside activities.
- Crowds aren’t generally his thing, but he will find calmness in watching people when he’s sitting somewhere having his tea. It brings him peace to know everyone has their own lives just like he does. It makes him feel more alive.
- When he takes you out on dates, it’s usually coffee dates or a small street food place that makes good food. He’s not a fan of extravagant stuff, so he keeps it as minimal as he can.
- He doesn’t drink, and he doesn’t smoke. This doesn’t mean he won’t drink at all though; he will drink 1-2 bottles of beer occasionally in social settings, but that’s about it. Since he barely drinks, he’s quite lightweight and will get drunk easily.
- He’s a touchy one, but not in the inappropriate way. He loves holding you, hugging you, kissing your head, nose and forehead. He likes to kiss your forehead the most.
- He loves reading interesting facts about our world. His Instagram reels are full of zoology, geology etc. kind of nerdy posts. When he watches tv, it’s usually documentary channels. He doesn’t like following the news because there’s usually sad or stressful things.
- Very positive person, he will look at everything on the brightest side possible.
- His sister would love you and you’d frequently have girl nights together, sometimes even pull pranks on Raiden if you’re feeling mischievous enough.
- You’re both his partner in life and his best friend (along with Kung Lao, CAN’T erase him from this part). He will share EVERYTHING with you, and will be really happy every time you do the same.
- Very easy to communicate. No arguments happen in the relationship because you two handle it like two grown adults by communicating your feelings and understanding each other. He has very high empathy, and will do his best to get your point if there’s a disagreement.
- He gets cold easily, so he will wear the fluffiest and warmest sweaters during winter. You will find him wrapped around blankets while he’s watching TV, with hot chocolate or tea in his mug.
- He likes playing board and card games, his favorites are the ones that you need to use your thinking skills.
- When he watches TV series, he will resort to sitcoms more than fantasy, drama etc, he thinks he already has enough fantasy elements in his life thanks to Liu Kang and being an Earthrealm Champion. He also loves animation movies; especially classics like Ice Age, Kung Fu Panda and Shrek.
- His favorite Disney princess is probably Mulan.
- He prefers village life over city life.
- He has a light blue pickup truck and it’s still in perfect condition despite being very old.
- He loves thrifting and will often go thrift shopping with you.
- He has a big library in the house filled with informative and literary books.
- Loves buying small decorations for the house. I believe he’d keep it more minimal with warm colors, and it’d feel very cozy inside.
- He works out in the house once in a while, but farming is usually enough physical activity for him.
- He will meditate regularly.
- He loves all the traditional Chinese food. Wonton soup makes him feel all warm and happy, and he’s obsessed with Kung Pao chicken.
- He’s interested in every mythology, but his favorites are Egyptian and Greek mythologies because they’re very complex and he can be occupied reading them and thinking over them for hours.
- He loves word puzzle games.
- He adores every traditional festival and will drag you with him and Kung Lao. His favorites are Chinese New Year and Mid Autumn Festival; he loves eating as many moon cakes as he can during Mid Autumn. He also loves seeing you in traditional Chinese clothing when you go to the festivals with them.
- He’s not a big fan of anime, but will watch them with Kung Lao and then complain about some nonsense, making Kung Lao side eye him and say “shut up, your sitcoms are way worse than this.”
- His YouTube recommendations consists of animal/nature/space documentaries, mythology and philosophy along with funny animal videos.
- (Very self indulgent) if you watch true crime documentaries, it makes him worry about your mental health sometimes, but you reassure him that everything is fine.
- Hates big lights, loves dim lighting. He will only keep smaller lamps on in the house. He thinks it’s more calming and easy on the eyes.
- He will frequently light candles and use incense. He might even use sage to help fight off negative energies once in a while; he’s a believer in spirits and such things like that.
- Very helpful towards everyone around him even when he doesn’t necessarily know the person. He will offer his help to anyone struggling with a task, will always help old ladies and grandpas with carrying their stuff around the village.
- He writes poems sometimes, but no one knows about them except you.
- He doesn’t know a lot about computers and phones, so if he struggles in something he will ask you instead of trying to handle it himself.
- He’s very interested in nature photography. He will never miss a chance of snapping a good scenery photo.
- He’s better at cooking than he is at baking. He once burnt a pie and mourned it for 3 days because he spent so much time on it.
- He can sew and crochet. If you have any damaged clothing, he will fix them up right away.
- Never wastes food. If you are picky, he will eat what you don’t off your plate even if he’s full.
- Loves preparing you breakfast and sometimes does it while you’re asleep, bringing it to you to the bed with flowers he picked off the garden.
- He can sing well, but is insecure about it despite your encouragement.
- He once tried skating after Kung Lao gaslit him, and he almost cracked his butt after falling.
- He loves bicycle rides. He will go on rides every day usually during evening, and will watch the sunset in somewhere nice before going back home.
- Hiking is a good hobby for him. He loves taking walks in forests and he likes camping a lot. He will bring you with him when he goes camping and hiking, sometimes Kung Lao will join. You guys sit around the bonfire as you eat marshmallows on sticks and Kung Lao babbles scary stories, trying to creep you out.
- Fengjian Teahouse is his favorite place to spend time when he’s in the village. Everyone knows and adores him.
- He would listen to your chatter about anything for hours. Your hyperfixations are entertaining for him and he will try to learn as much as he can so he can join the conversation because he knows you appreciate it a lot.

McFly July Day 17: Dave's Night Off
Twin Pine timeline: taking place a little after the events of my fic "So, Your Brother's Befriended a Mad Scientist" (late 1982, a few weeks after Marty met Doc)
If you’d asked Dave McFly just a few weeks ago how he’d like to spend an evening off of work, he would have easily listed a variety of activities off the top of his head.
Hanging out with the town’s mad scientist and his kid brother would not have been anywhere on that list. Not even if he’d sat there and come up with a thousand options.
But that was before Marty had started working for Dr. Brown. Before Dave himself, after finishing up a late-night shift, had been allowed a quick glimpse into the new, chaotic, strange world his little brother had thrown himself into. He’d only been in the garage but five minutes—long enough to half-absorb the details of the contraption the pair was working on, and even get roped into helping—before the scientist had ushered them out the door to drive them home.
He'd been dying to get back inside ever since then.
Dave watched as the metal arm of the automatic dog feeder turned the can over, sending the wet food into the waiting bowl with a splat. The dog, Einstein, sat patiently until the demonstration was complete, then ran over and began to eating his dinner. Dave wasn’t sure what he was more impressed by: all the time spent building an elaborate contraption just to open and dump over a can or what he’d seen so far of Einstein’s personality, which bordered on humanlike, quite frankly.
This garage was a strange place.
“Pretty neat, huh?” Marty asked, tossing a nod in the direction of the machine. “Works perfectly now, but you shoulda seen the test runs.”
At the comment, Marty and Dr. Brown shared a look—matching smirks coming to their faces that made Dave feel momentarily out of place. Here, he was the outsider, the one out of sync, and it fascinated as much as bewildered him.
“What happened during the test runs?”
Marty stifled a laugh and gestured across the room. “Just picture a whole can of that stuff splattered everywhere. And that was just the first test. During the second one, it malfunctioned and flung a full can. Doc dodged it just in time.”
“Test runs can be tricky,” Dr. Brown added. “But we worked out the kinks and got it running smoothly. One less thing for me to have to think about in the morning.” He checked a nearby clock and clapped his hands together. “Well, since Einie is eating, I suppose we should too. Are you joining us for dinner, Dave?”
It was odd, having his name so casually spoken by the reclusive old man Dave had grown up hearing so many whispered rumors about. Doctor Emmett Brown, who was holed up in his secret lab building a death ray to obliterate the town. Biding his time, working on horrific experiments and inventions until he could exact revenge on his enemies. The guy who kidnapped trespassing kids (one of the more popular whispered stories around schools and playgrounds)—their disappearance serving as a warning to others.
Evidently, Dave now knew, the only thing trespassers got was a job offer.
Shaking off his thoughts, Dave nodded. “Sure, if that’s okay with you.”
The doctor looked pleased, his lips curving upward in a warm smile. “Of course. What do you boys want?”
Marty tipped his gaze up to direct a pointed look Dave’s way. Dave shook his head.
“Marty, we are not eating Burger King on my night off.”
“I didn’t even say anything!”
“You didn’t have to. Pick something else.”
With a huff, Marty crossed his arms and furrowed his eyebrows in deep thought. “Pizza. Does your majesty approve of that suggestion?”
If they were at home, Dave would put Marty into a headlock and wrestle him to the ground, but they weren’t at home. He was standing in the middle of a dilapidated garage with Dr. Emmett Brown watching the exchange. Dave thought he saw amusement hiding on the man’s face.
“Pizza’s good,” he said with a shrug.
Dr. Brown nodded and headed for a cluttered table on the other side of the room, waving them along. “I’ve got a menu around here somewhere.”
Dave watched Marty bound ahead and immediately make more of a mess as he hurriedly searched through the piles of papers and books. The doctor didn’t seem at all bothered and began tearing apart a pile as well. After a moment, Marty pulled the menu out of the wreckage and held it high, a victorious laugh filling the room.
Yes, this garage sure was a strange place, Dave thought. But it was also a good place.

First fire of the season. We don't use our fireplace a lot, but because the smaller ponds and larger puddles had some ice this morning, I thought it would be a good night to break it in this season. Tonight's low will be 25°F.
Earlier today Sulley and I drove 70 miles to Jack's house. He had a bird feeder to give me. Considering the amount of gas I used, it wasn't the best reason to make the trip. But I don't want my birds to get hungry.
I ate lunch there. Sulley, after getting over his initial fear of Jack's dog Luca, enjoyed the trip too. Luca seems to operate at 105% most of the time. Sulley just needed a little warming up to that.
Jack baked pumpkin bars to bring to a neighbor's garage where everyone was watching the Vikings-Packers game on one TV and the Jaguars-Steelers game on a second TV. Who doesn't love a man cave, right?
Sulley and I walked over to check it out before we left for home. The bloody Mary bar was enticing. But I had to drive a ways, so no. There was a metal fire pit in the driveway, a smoker had something savory cooking, and a few tables had more food.
Now that is a neighborhood gathering.

Day 1
Well first night went ok, I do need to see what I need to fix the cracks up though. They mailed me what I need; 50 wood and 20 stone, I think I can get all of that just from the farm itself.
I found a couple of interesting things while I did a little clearing, a geode and a coffer, no idea what to do with them just yet but I'll figure it out.
I planted some of the seeds, they were turnips and daisies, the packets said they didn't take long to grow which I guess is good? I wonder if they have farming books here? The most I remember about it was summers helping Grandpa water tomatoes and chasing the chickens… I wonder if I can get chickens? I wandered around a bit found some pretty flowers, and I found the General Store! Sam seems nice, and the Mayor was there to introduce us, also to encourage me to meet some of the townsfolk apparently I make them nervous? Here I was thinking they were excited.
Anyway the General store apparently sells seasonal seeds, so I'll have to go in at the start of ever season to see the new seeds. I picked up some potato seeds to plant.
Meeting new people… So far I've met Ben, who was in the General Store, he seems…nice? He said I had good vibes? So that's something. Oh and I saw the most adorable fluffy brown dog! His tag said his name was BonBon, 😍 so cute! I also ran into Alice! Gosh we used to play on the beach in Summer with her sister Suki, she's still here too, apparently they run the Inn now! Which…hasn't had much business? In the Town Square I met this adorable girl called Eva, apparently her names actually Everest I always thought that was a guys name. She also mentioned they don't get a lot of new faces. Finally an explanation, I ran into a charming woman while heading back to the farm, name of Betty, she was filling up some bird feeders and upon my introduction mentioned that there was oil spill near here. Which I do remember hearing about, but I guess I never realised it was here of all places. Grandma certainly didn't mention it when she offered me the farm.
I headed down to the beach, I wanted to see how bad it was, I was tired yesterday and didn't notice anything which…it's bad, there's oil and these weird like spiky root things, how the heck did I miss this? I guess Mum was right about how observant I'm not…she can never know. Anyway I did a little exploratory running around, found the Carpenters! So now I know where that is, also the forest… Oh man there are so many monkeys! Also a weird place with a danger sign that sounded like it had a fight going on inside… not sure what that was about.
Oh and I met a few other people, someone named Chaem who…honestly seemed pretty forthright, a lady name of Zarah who was using a metal detector and seemed surprised I'd moved here after the oil spill. A dapper person called Raj who mentioned they did coffee ☕? So I know where to go for a pick me up 🤩.
The forest also seems to do pretty good for mushrooms, I found some nice Shiitake and some canola to pop in my shipping bin. I also found wasabi 😫.
Finally after a long days work, I headed to bed. If I keep up this pace I should hopefully have enough wood and stone by either tomorrow or the next day. I just hope it doesn't rain.

When he was around 12, the Moe crew had a wayward marine captured because if they squawked everyone would have a battleship on their tail and no one wanted to deal with that at the moment
Kirin saw someone giving them their fair share of dinner and Kirin kind of just--stared creepily a bit aways from them, ignoring when they started yelling at him to buzz off because they couldn't eat with him there like that and the other crew members found his eclectic behavior amusing enough, but kept an eye on him to make sure the kid doesn't get hurt while Kirin annoyed this poor naval recruitment
When Sen walks by to check up on him Kirin asks why were they allowing scum to eat with an intense Mihawk-style stare directly at the marine, enough to make a little bead of sweat appear because he's dead serious about it
Sen is internally concerned with how this thought pattern could manifest later on but gives a casual response that even bottom feeders on the sea floor have to sustain themselves somehow, without much malice but he's matching Kirin's language to get the message across
Kirin keeps staring for a second and then walks toward the marine, they feel the urge to flinch back but suppress it (this is a child, why did their instincts tell them to, what the hell)
Kirin picks up two grains of rice stuck together on the floor and puts it back into the metal dish they served that marine their food in, tells them that they'd better not waste any of it and stalks off to presumably freak someone else out with his weirdness Sen quietly breathes a sigh of relief - his boy is gonna be just fine
Kirin of course doubles down on his marine hatred a few years later after Akainu's destroyed everything the Moe pirates built and cultivated and hits his peak at 17, from there it's just a slow decline as he realizes that individual marines can't be blamed for the fault of the system that hurts them just as much And it plateaus completely after finding out that his brother became one in his (Kirin's) early 20s
There's always going to be a part of him that aggressively hates the navy and everything they stand for but it's been mostly redirected to the World Government - something something there's no point in being angry at a dog that's been taught nothing but to bite
He doesn't have the energy to go out of his way to be cruel to them just on the basis that they're the WG's tools of violence anymore
Plus, he shouldn't and doesn't expect other pirates to look at his brother with the same introspection he does so Kirin just has to (within reason) extend that as much as he can to the marines he comes across in the hopes that the universe might not let his brother get killed, superstitious as he is

Good morning. 🍂🍂🍂

Weeks pass incredibly fast lately. Maybe it's true what they say about time, it flies when you're having fun.
I spend my mornings doing exactly what I'm doing right now. The rest of the day, I do whatever else I want to do or need to do. Yesterday, we bought two rose bushes and plan to pant them today, hurray. Picked up a couple more metal shepherd's hook so that I can deploy more hummingbird feeders. These will go inside the backyard near the east fence.
I just took a break to feed the dogs, I let them outside while I prepare their breakfast. Ben is funny, usually when I let them outside, he stops at the door and waits. I have to reach down and touch him before he goes out … unless there are squirrels.

Almost everything on the patio has been moved to the garage. The flower pots and the stacked plant shelves mostly. The rest was garbage overdue to be thrown away--a pile of branches and leaves, a broken bird feeder pole, a broken bird bath, the dog pool that'd been accumulating debris, plants that were dead or dying
The grill is staying out i guess. And i put my hibiscus plants under the eaves and on either side of the grill, hoping that'll be enough, because I can't carry them and dragging them would be hell on my back.
All that's left is the lounge chair, the metal table, and the planter. Plus the hoses if we wanna bring those in. But I'll need my dad's help. Im tired, my back hurts, and my dad is in his comfy clothes which means it won't be done today.
But i got a lot done and im happy
Bella's PT went well, too
I think imma take a shower lmao
I found some neat things in the pile of branches/leaves/dirt though! I'll share in a little bit

Well hello worldwide web ~ 💕✨
My name is Hunter, but you can call me Handful.
Quick heads up to anyone who follows or browses my page, I am a anarcho-transhumanist with a overwhelming love for both science fiction and feedism.
I love to write and I love to draw, so expect some of that whenever I intend to get around to it. I also overthink things, so don’t expect any of the writing I post to stay that way for long.
I also am a fucken horn dog for feedism related content, so keep that in mind while browsing. I am a dom feeder who enjoys soft feedism content, and some not so soft things on the side; but you don’t need to worry about that ~ ! 💕✨
Some quick facts about me, both sfw & nsfw!
✨🌸SFW🌸✨
- Manatees are my favorite animal! Funny little sea potatoes ~ !
- I regularly dream of becoming a cyborg, the thought of completely augmenting my flesh to the purity of silicone and metal makes me happy! 🦾⚙️
- I enjoy writing sci-fi stories and world building projects, especially involving alien intelligence like my goobers the Radials. 📚📝
- I also love to draw! However I tend to write a lot more, especially lately.✏️
- Belief wise I am a staunch anarchist and atheist! I also believe cereal is best eaten dry. Fight me …
- Yeah I cuss a lot lol.
- I love masks! I’d wear them more if I could. My favorite one so far is the pink plague doctor mask I have! :D
- My favorite food is Chicharon street tacos! 🌮
- My favorite genre of cinema is horror and scifi, though I am also a sucker for those old spoof movies like the Naked Gun or the Scary Movie series. 👻👽🔫
- My long term goal is to be an Astrobiologist!
✨🧁NSFW🧁✨
- I am, as stated, a feeder! 💕✨
- I love soft feedism, praising and doting on a feedee’s gain and eating ~

Enhancing the Appearance of Artificial Grass: Tips and Tricks
Tumblr media
After having the infill placed and your fake grass garden given its first thorough cleaning, it's safe to say that it now looks absolutely stunning. Will my artificial turf need to be replaced on a regular basis to maintain this nice appearance? Without a doubt, the answer is no! Your fake grass actually requires very little care and can be maintained easily on a daily basis. But keep in mind that low maintenance does not equate to no upkeep. It is imperative that you make sure all the minor details are taken care of. If not, you can be left with an artificial grass garden that looks miserable and flat and needs a lot more care to bring it back to life. If you want to know about Artificial grass cost or want to purchase artificial golf grass, check out Artificial Grass GB!
1. Brushing and Raking:
You want to maintain the upright position of your fake grass yard's fibres, just like with real grass. It takes a lot of traffic to flatten them, but regular heavy use by kids or pets may have some negative effects, as may strolling the same path repeatedly in a garden.
Additionally, putting large objects on the grass—like furniture, inflatable pools, or big flower pots—will cause the fibres in your lawn to flatten. Over time, they may simply begin to flex. Thankfully, putting them back in their upright posture is not too difficult.
A brush with synthetic bristles that is at least five inches long can be used, as can a rake. Use of wire or metal bristles should be avoided as they may harm the fibres. To fluff up your lawn, just rake or brush the fibres against the grain. To ensure that your fake grass lawn lasts longer and wears more evenly, rake or brush the blades. Additionally, maintaining the uprightness of the fibres will help your yard resemble real grass.
2. Rinsing:
Rain is the most effective and least expensive way to clean artificial turf. Living in a region with frequent rainfall will greatly contribute to the beauty and longevity of your garden. But in addition to people who live in arid climates needing to give their fake grass a little more water, there are other situations in which you might need to grab the hose.
Pet excrement is one of the most frequent causes of the need to water your artificial grass. Artificial grass is ideal for pets. Actually, dogs and artificial grass are a match made in heaven. However, you do want to continue to monitor waste management.
Usually, pet pee just absorbs and evaporates when it rains. However, periodically washing the area where your pets frequently will stop odours, discolouration, and bacterial growth. If additional assistance is required, consider using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. These days, artificial turf is incredibly stain-resistant; most materials only need a quick cleaning. Mineral spirits will typically remove more stubborn materials like grease or sunscreen without any trouble at all. That being said, you should take great care to keep any corrosive substances away from your fake grass. A garden hose or a spray bottle will do the trick; never use a power washer, as this might damage the fibres in your artificial grass.
3. Eliminate Debris:
Similar to how it would on a deck or driveway, organic materials allowed to break down on surfaces can wreak havoc on artificial grass or synthetic lawn surfaces, producing a haven for weeds and vermin.
To remove leaves and other objects from your yard, you should use a leaf blower. Indeed, you could wish to take the initiative and move fruit or nut trees, as well as plants and bushes that produce a lot of leaves. Place feeders that draw squirrels or birds away from your artificial grass because they may produce a lot of droppings.
Avoid using your leaf blower's vacuum mode as it may lift some of the foundation layer components. Owners of artificial turf do not need to be concerned about snow damage during harsh winters. But wherever feasible, it's preferable to let snow and ice melt naturally. It's highly likely that you will harm your fake grass fibres if you attempt to manually remove ice that has built up around them.
4. Weed Management:
Fear not—weeds are not nearly as much of an issue on synthetic lawns as they are on real grass. As a matter of fact, you might find that there are so few of them that the simplest course of action is to manually remove them as you come across them when raking or sweeping your lawn. However, there is no way to totally prevent them because the wind may carry seeds into your yard that rain will encourage to sprout.
Should you decide to remove them as soon as you discover them, you should be sure to do it before they have a chance to take root. Using weedicides on your artificial turf periodically is another preventative approach. It's not necessary to use harsh chemicals. Actually, you shouldn't, as they might harm your fibres. A simple, non-toxic weed killer will work perfectly.
Keeping Up Your Artificial Lawn During the Winter:
You probably won't utilize your garden as much during the winter, but you could still need to access sheds or other storage spaces.
-Snow and ice should never be removed by force; rather, they should be allowed to naturally drip into the soil beneath your artificial grass.
-If you must go outside, be clear of the snow as it might compact and harm the artificial turf underneath.
-Use a plastic spade or stiff bristle brush to remove any remaining snow; stay away from metal garden tools as they may harm your artificial grass.
-It is not advised to use salt in your fake landscape because the build-up can clog drainage lines and stop water from flowing away over time.
Your fake landscape will look amazing for many years to come with cautious and consistent maintenance. If you discover that certain sections have lost their shine or sustained damage, replacing a tiny section is a simple task. It's usually advisable to hire experts if you're unsure rather than trying a haphazard DIY project.

Size of Your Dog: The design of the bowl depends very much upon the size of the dog. Navigating Backyard Intruders: Effective Strategies for Squirrel Pest Control
Tumblr media
A variety of animals emerge from their winter hibernation when the seasons shift and the greenery flowers, including squirrels, who are among the most active of the species that venture outside to take in the sights and sounds of nature slowly coming back to life. Although these bright-eyed, fluffy-tailed creatures embodied the fun spirit of the great outdoors, any homeowner will confirm that they can also turn into unrelenting pests, causing havoc in attics, gardens, and bird feeders. In order to ensure that peace is restored without upsetting the delicate balance of our local ecosystems, we'll look at compassionate and practical solutions for handling squirrel infestations (Squirrel Removal Ottawa) in this article.
Understanding Squirrel Behavior
It is essential to comprehend squirrel behavior in order to manage squirrel populations in an efficient manner. The daytime hours are when squirrels are most busy, when they are looking for nuts, seeds, and other food to store. Because of their remarkable leaping abilities and reputation for acrobatics, they can practically reach any location. They can also cause harm to property since they frequently take refuge in isolated areas like attics to build their nests.
Preventative Measures
Prevention is the first line of defense when it comes to controlling squirrel pests. Examine your home's exterior first. Look for any openings where squirrels may enter through the siding or eaves and cover them with materials that are strong enough to keep them out. Use metal flashing or heavy-duty hardware cloth for repairs since squirrels can eat through weak locations.
Plants that are inherently resistant to squirrels' foraging, like marigolds and daffodils, can help you create a squirrel-proof landscape. Digging can also be discouraged by using mulches like stone or gravel.
Bird Feeders Tactics
Keeping squirrels out of bird feeders is a frequent problem. Use baffles that prevent squirrels from accessing the feeder or choose feeders that are made to close under the weight of an animal. Furthermore, place feeders far from structures or trees that might serve as jumping off locations. Employing safflower seeds, which squirrels find less appetizing, will also put a stop to their curiosity without affecting birds.
Natural Deterrents
Using natural deterrents to keep squirrels from taking over your area may be a compassionate and successful strategy. Strong smells like peppermint, garlic, and cayenne pepper deter squirrels. Use essential oils on cotton balls near doorways or windows to create a fragrant border around your yard. There are commercial natural repellents available; however, be sure the repellents are appropriate to use in outdoor settings where children and dogs are present and non-toxic.
Live Trapping and Relocation
Live trapping followed by safe relocation may be your final alternative if squirrels have become too much of a problem. Since local laws for catching and moving wildlife differ from place to place, always verify them. Protection gloves should be used when handling the cage to prevent bites or scratches, and live traps must be checked often to minimize discomfort to the trapped animal.
Community Involvement
Speaking with a local pest control company or animal rehabilitation facilities might provide you further advice and support on handling your squirrel problem. They may provide personalized guidance and compassionate fixes to guarantee that the squirrels are handled humanely and that your property is safeguarded.
In Conclusion
Although adorable, squirrels may become a nuisance in human areas due to their playful tendencies. Understanding these animals' routines and acting proactively to avoid problems will help you coexist peacefully with them. Homeowners may efficiently control squirrel populations by using exclusion strategies, carefully placing bird feeders, natural deterrents, and humane live capture procedures. As we share our outside areas with these lively creatures, never forget the importance of treating wildlife with respect and working towards coexistence. You may prevent these furry visitors from lingering longer than necessary by using the appropriate strategy and a little patience, which will maintain a harmonious relationship between your small home and its inhabitants.
