TSUM PATTERN!!!
retested it after digitizing to make sure all the seams are in order, and everything's looking fine imo :3 here's a tsum made with this pattern with susato tsum for comparison:
here's the pattern, formatted for A4 size paper :>> guides are for lining the pieces up + ears/limbs placement
if you wanted to be really accurate with printing out the pattern: in my experience, setting the custom scale to 100% in the page setup will get the ruler on the page to be 1:1 with a real life ruler
additionally: if you want the tsum to be as close as possible to official ones, they use non-stretchy fabrics for the underside part of the tsum. i only have minky but ironing on some lightweight fusible before sewing the pieces together made it non-stretchy ^^
it looks to me like they used a very thin faux suede with fusible interfacing for some structure (i could be wrong though as 1) i am not an expert in identifying fabrics and 2) i only took apart klavier tsum and no one else. but everyone else that i own seems to use the same fabric for the underside).
they also have a little bag of filler beads inside that weigh around 14.5g (bag they were in included), and the stuffing was ~8g if you wanna be REALLY accurate. anyway. enjoy!
EDIT: forgot to add that the collar pieces are more of a size/sewing guide so they'd fit onto the tsum in case your character has any clothing with lapels/collars and are meant to be changed according to your design! the smaller piece is the little piece between the face and the underside while the bigger piece is for the "lapels" (so in retrospect i should've named it that but whatever.) here's how they'd look like on the tsums for reference in case i'm not explaining well LOL
#.docx#sewing pattern#had to look up if light microsuede/faux suede was a thing#and it is! lmao#i found a listing on etsy for it#might order some from there n see how it goes. will update on my findings#also yes i weighed everything. just in case.#note for my edit: to anyone who's used to sewing that might be like. obvious#but i'm just adding an explanation in case any complete beginners would wanna try this out LOL

The Yaya Han cosplay fabrics line was moved to Mood which is good because some of that stuff was pretty specific and niche so it's nice to have not lost it forever. But also terrible because what do you mean it's just expensive with no coupons now.

"that damn white boy keeps coming into my dungeon and eating all my various beafts" - Thistle
YIPPEE Thistle is done! Dungeon meshi has had my brain in a gorilla grip for months and I really wanted to make something from it. I was already drawn towards Thistle for his jester aesthetic, but I ended up becoming quite fond of his character too, which I am oft to do haha. He was a fun one to add accents to and play around with his various vibes, although blunt cutting his bangs physically pained me.
The main jacket is made of 3 yards of purple microsudede and red matte satin, both from big Z fabrics. The pattern was McCall's M6800 (one of my all time favorites!)
There are organza sleeve petticoats in the arms to add extra volume. Additional weathering was added to the seams using black pigment powders for dimension. The underskirt is a full double circle skirt. The wig is an arda wigs luthern silky in mica. the arms are a polyester ribbed fabric from joanns that was dyed purple. (fun fact! I did actually attempt to dye the microsuede with a blue/purple gradient but holy moses this polyester microsuede absolutely refuses to uptake dye. I tried valiantly, but ultimately made peace with just purple)

Over the weekend, I went to my family’s Cottage in the Northwoods for the first time since I was a kid! 🌲 I had a fantastic time, and also brought Kaya, Samantha, and Nellie (my mother and stepfather were very patient with me packing three dolls, two doll horses, a teepee, and a bunch of photography equipment 📷 into their van along with my suitcase 😂). I’m going to post the pictures of Sam and Nellie separately later on, but I wanted to share my Kaya photos now.
I’m pretty proud of the teepee: I made it myself!... or, sort of. I bought the first version of Kaya’s Teepee NIB recently on FB Marketplace. When it arrived, it was very clearly unopened… but the faux animal-hide fabric was cracking horribly from sheer age, and I didn’t feel right returning it because of something the seller clearly didn’t know about after opening it when it was NIB; besides which, shipping cost a lot, and it would barely have been worth it to return after shipping it back, even if the seller did accept a return. So I bought some microsuede and faux leather cord and, using the original fabric as a stencil, I made my own. I did everything myself, from sealing the edges so they don’t fray, to dying the flaps at the top with some Rit fabric dye left over from a different project; then I attached it to the original plastic tent sticks. I also changed a few things while I was at it to make the doorway larger so you can actually see inside. It’s not perfect (I messed up and cut both pieces the same, rather than as mirror images, so part of it is actually wrong-side-out; and I burned one side in the dying process, as well as splashing some dye on it) and I plan to re-do it later, but honestly I’m a bit amazed it came out as well as it did!
Note: I am White. If you are indigenous and find anything in this post offensive, please let me know and I’ll edit it or take it down!

starting a new thread bc the previous one was getting pretty long -
tagged here by my pal @cyare-fi! the rules are: tag your moots and ask them where they got the idea for their tumblr account's name!
MicrosuedeMouse is a username I've been using basically everywhere (unless it's a more professional setting lol) since uhhh.... I think like 2006 or '07? maybe? I think I was twelve-ish. it started as a new side account for neopets hahaha - and I think it was one of the accounts I gave to an online friend several years later, to expand their own stable.
when I came up with it it was kind of random? on account of the fact that I was a child and it was a name for a side account? I had always liked the texture of microsuede (iirc my aunt and uncle had a living room set upholstered in it that I really loved), and I'd long been fond of mice, though I don't think I'd come to identify as strongly with them yet as I would a few years later. and when I combined the two I really liked the alliteration, as well as the image the username invoked. I've meant for years to get hold of some microsuede and make a stuffed mouse with it, but. y'know. standard adhd forgetting-to-do-things-for-years.
anyway, that's my story! a few friendly no-pressure tags: @karis-the-fangirl, @gingerteaonthetardis, @mana-sputachu, annnnnd @womanaction?

There are a few beasts out there in the world that have made their way to a charity shop in Wales!! The proceeds from the shop benefit the Save the Children charity, and the gardenfolk are up for auction on Ebay with worldwide shipping.
These gardenfolk are from around 2016-2017!

First is this gray velour mandrake

Second is this microsuede stray sod!
I wanted to pass the listings along in case anyone was in the market for an old TBP gardenfolk :)
