Negaduck from the 2023 comics (Issues #4). The panel I referenced this from looked really cool, so I figured I'd paint it. Can't wait until the next issue comes out!

𝑵𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 ,
𝒆𝒙𝒄𝒆𝒑𝒕 𝒈𝒐𝒍𝒅 ー 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒚 𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒏 .

Tldr I hc that midas is the reincarnation of king midas from greek mythology, except he came back with more control over his power and hadn't died from starvation as it makes no sense, though he does turn his daughter to gold and starts despising deities ( mainly dionysus ) as he had tricked him.
I also hc that as he came back and got married, his wife eventually wished for him to abandon his life of crime to take care of their daughter who was just born, but midas disagrees and says it's just too difficult, they keep fighting about it until the wife sends an ultimatum, he gets mad abt it, she chooses to leave and take Jules, he panics and reaches for her, except as a trauma response his body reacts just as it did when he lost Marigold the first time, and he turns his wife to gold. He ends up telling jules, once she grows up, that her mom left without a word, and he eventually just learns to control his powers a lot better. But imo, he doesn't know that there was another catch to his curse, which is, that it is directly linked to light and his sight. The less light there is ( as well as consciousness ), the less he is able to turn things to gold. As in, if he were to be put in a dark room and he can't see anything, then nothing will turn to gold and he can't turn himself to gold either
I also think that another thing to his curse is, even if he were to lose his hand, as long as he can "touch" something, then he can still use his power, as in, even if he were wearing a gauntlet or prosthetic, he could still use his powers

Carousel Waltz: A Primer
Since I talk incessantly about them and that frequency is only going to increase it's probably for the best that I give a bit of a rundown for my little OC verse!
Carousel Waltz is a psychological thriller young adult magical girl comic in the making. Its primary influences are Revolutionary Girl Utena, Twin Peaks, and Over The Garden Wall.
It's 1993. The town of Potter's Fields, Washington is the last bastion of civilization and has been for the past 25 years, for around the town and as far as anyone can walk in any direction grows a magical apocalyptic wilderness called the Garden of Sorrow, which threatens evermore to encroach upon the town in a war of attrition. With the population of the town dwindling and time standing still in the Garden's embrace, de facto town leader Midas Schiller, with the help of the town's only psychiatrist Thomas Hythloday, have reverse-engineered some of the Garden's very own magic to use against it. Somewhere within the Garden of Sorrow lies the source of its power, the Primordial Heart-- and if mortals can find it and destroy it, they can free the town from its clutches and find out if truthfully there is anyone out there.
Midas cannot use the Garden's magic himself, due to its vendetta against him, so he has scoured the town for proxy agents-- people who can rise to the occasion and fight back against the Garden of Sorrow and the monsters it spawns from its coiling depths. Magic requires harmony and accord to be employed most effectively, and so these magic wielders must fight in pairs. So they have come to be known as Dancers, armed with magical weapons and conditional immortality.
Tumblr media
note: When referring to the genre/role as a whole, I use magical girl as conjecture-- referring to these characters as magical boy/enby/man/woman is for on an individual basis. it's just easier than saying "magical mixed gender group of varying ages" and remains true to the genre conventions i'm working under.
Sicely Tecuani - (they/them) The Protagonist. A jaded and socially awkward cowboy, they hide their shyness behind a wall of prickly fatigue. Sicely easily notices the strange and unusual, as well as the faults and foolishness of others. They’re of a practical mindset and enjoy things that work the first time without the bells and whistles. They're dependable and protective, savvy and eloquent, but they're desperate for guidance, yet habitually pushes others away. They're easily impassioned! ... But also easily impassioned into fits of self-loathing. Sicely is transmasculine agender and a closeted lesbian. Their weapon is a pair of bear-paw gauntlets, and their flower is the red spider lily.
Anthea Patel - (she/her) The Other Protagonist. A prodigious young girl, Anthea seems to excel at just about everything she tries her hand at. She's pleasant and romantically-inclined, and sees the world through rosy eyes. She carries a deep well of love and strength within her to meet problems, and she's always trying to cheer others up, but she tends to assume she knows what's best for others while avoiding communicating her own needs-- a girl who thinks she can do everything except admitting she's wrong. And like her namesake, she carries a deep wrath. Anthea is a trans girl and a lesbian. Her weapon is a pair of flintlock dueling pistols, and her flower is the calla lily.
Ariadne "Ari" Astra - (she/her) Ari is a mover and a shaker, and a top-class seer. She wants to know it all, uncover the secrets of the universe, and wield magic to the best of her discretion. She adores unexplained phenomena like cryptids and UFOs. Chipper, observant, and witty, Ari doesn't suffer fools willingly. She is, however, willing to suffer most anything for a mystery. Her infatuation with mathematically proving the afterlife, to reconnect with her dead sister, borders on obsession. She’s deeply lonely, and feels like she lost the only person who could possibly understand her, which has alienated her best friend, Lucerne. Ari is bisexual and would probably ID with the term gendervoid if she knew it. Her weapon is an armillary sphere, and her flower is sunflower.
Lucerne Lowe - (they/he) Lucerne is seemingly difficult to rattle and nonchalant, offering advice where possible and deflecting with a blunt affect away from themself. He enjoys a running commentary, as long as he's not in the middle of things. Lucerne dislikes being the center of attention, and keeps things to themself more often than not. He'd be a great friend to tell your secrets to if you need a listening ear or infodump about that niche interest of yours that no one else has the patience for, but you'd be hard-pressed to get him to tell you something back. Not after what they saw. While the advice they give is usually good, Lucerne is more likely to meddle in your own business than walk the walk. They are unlabeled. His weapon is a polearm, and his flower is rhododendron.
Opal Schiller - (he/him) Rare holographic dipshit. Next.
...
OKAY FINE. Opal is the morally ambiguous pale-haired tragic anime boy archetype. He believes he is being charming and friendly, but in fact his social skills leave something to be desired, often acting on strange impulses or operating on assumptions and rules beyond typical understanding. This makes him presumptuous, pushy, and ill-equipped for when things don't align with expectations. He's very flamboyant and self assured, as long as he feels in control. As soon as his power over a situation is questioned, or he behaves like a dorkass teenager, he immediately begins to flounder, and goes to extreme lengths to regain that sense of security. He’s really, really bad at not getting his way, a problem exacerbated by his father. He is bisexual but enjoys the rewards of heterosexuality too much to consider guys an option. His weapon is a scythe, and his flower is larkspur.
Jiro Kohaku - (he/him) If you asked what Jiro wants in life, he'd shrug his shoulders and say things are pretty good right now. He likes video games and tv and comic books and especially likes hanging out with Opal, because Opal gets to do whatever he wants. Despite his seemingly flippant attitude, he's easily excited and enjoys the spectacle of things, getting caught up in adrenaline rushes. He seems cosmically cursed to be forever in second place, which drives a deep frustration to his core that manifests as him wanting to impress and impose on his peers. Look at him, not Opal, not his older sister, just this once, look at him. Jiro is probably gay but covets girls anyways because of his problems and issues. His flower is nasturtium, and his weapon is a wakizashi.
Who else is there? Oh right, the grownups.
Tumblr media
Araceli Levin - (she/her) is a Dancer that has betrayed Midas, gone rogue, and aligned herself with the Garden of Sorrow. She should be considered armed and dangerous. She killed her last dance partner to steal his power, and should not be engaged alone.
...So Midas says.
Araceli is a renegade Dancer. She is dangerous-- she’s had her powers for thirty years longer than anyone in the cast. But she didn’t kill her partner, she isn't aligned with the Garden of Sorrow, and she's not the betrayer here. She's a miserable old wretch of a woman whose social skills have deteriorated from the insanity of grief and the self-exile she's placed on herself. Before she was a Dancer, before the Garden of Sorrow closed off her entire world and Midas ruined what was left of it, she was a marine biologist and a cetacean specialist. Now she has no ocean, no husband, and no way out. Her only friend is a talking Canada Jay named Whiskey. Her weapon is a spear, and her flower is hellebore.
Jorges Beaufoy - (he/him) Araceli's late husband and fellow biologist, and Midas' best friend in life. He died a few years back. The immortality afforded to Dancers does not extend to adults. His hair used to be light blonde before magic turned it pink. His weapon was a sword, and his flower was star of bethlehem.
Tumblr media
Thomas Hythloday - (he/him) An anodyne, denial-ridden scientist who works as mission control for the Dancers and is also their only psychological health monitor, which is great except for the part where I mentioned denial up there. He's a bit morally bankrupt, and willing to go too far sometimes, but he very rarely holds any true malice. He's polite in an off-putting way that holds little, if any, kindness to it. Politeness is easier because it's a social script that makes the other person more pliable and agreeable. It's pragmatism. After his twin sister Leda died, he threw his life into his work studying magic full-time to avoid the pain of existing. He was Midas' brother in law, but now they're lovers behind closed doors. Thomas is gay and gnc. He has no weapon, but his flower is hydrangea.
Tumblr media
Midas Schiller - (he/him) The de facto leader of Potter's Fields due to a power vacuum and a dwindling population. Opal's father. Midas Schiller is fastidious and charismatic. He’s one of very few adult role models in Potter's Field, and thus a lot of children look to him for guidance. He genuinely believes he is a force for good in the town and is the only thing keeping it from falling to ruin. He’s terrified of what might happen if he’s no longer there to keep things going, and the safety of his flock. Naturally, this means he feels justified to do whatever it takes to his flock, even endangering them, if he thinks it will keep himself in power and therefore ascertain the safety of the whole. Midas believes that he's entitled to the Golden Life that (cis, white) men are supposed to be given and feels cheated that he has not been guaranteed it and thus is taking it into his own hands to build that illusion of comforting paradise. everything in its place. whatever he includes in his sphere must make him happy, must comfort him, must entertain him. anything that does not contribute 2 his identity of Nuclear Family Man Patriarch With A Good Satisfied Life And The Years Ahead Of Him must be trimmed away. He’s obsessed with Thomas Hythloday, due to looking extremely similar to his late wife Leda, and despite being in denial of being attracted to men Midas exploits Thomas’ crush on him and solicits him for sex to keep himself in Thomas’ life. While it wasn't the only reason the relationship deteriorated, Midas attempted to pressure Araceli into having an affair with him. He tried to get her to change careers and stay on dry land. After it was made evident that she could not be controlled, and that he could not guarantee her compliance as a Dancer, he attempted to have her and Jorges killed. Unfortunately, he only got the one, and made a lifelong enemy out of the other. His weapon is fire, and his flower is poppy.

Scythe chapter 11-15
You know the drill!! Cmon!!!
Chapter 11!!
-I always forget the conclave’s have names,,,
-The thing is, you can never blame these people for fighting back, it’s human nature, but OUGH the consequences of human nature are so devastating
-But just imagine the guilt you’d feel, your husband got killed and you get immune from the same fate for a whole year. That’s just prime for survivors guilt
-Also the fact that Faraday told the family the man didn’t resist is just testament to his kindness and compassion
-“The sanctity of the law…And the wisdom to know when it must be broken.” *Stares at Goddard*
-MILK SCENE, I unironically love this scene even tho I think it’s really funny
-Also I genuinely don’t know how ppl drink milk b4 bed, is that even a real thing? How does that make you sleepy??
-Also good on Faraday!! Don’t waste shit!!!
-Apparently all the Scythe Rings are white but I refuse to acknowledge that, they’re all multicolored and each color relates to the scythe in some way <3
-That ring security system Faraday has going on is sick as fuck tho ngl
-“Now let’s see how long it takes Rowan to go for the ring.” I love himmmm, he’s fun!!! He can be fun!!
-Tonist mention!! I love the Tonists <33
-Nice chapter!! Gives more depth to Faraday!!
Chapter 12!!
-Rowan and Citra’s test are approaching!!!
-The idea of having to hold yourself back in life because you’re afraid of being killed is actually terrifying—
-Also same Rowan, I hate studying too
-“Rowan concluded that not knowing was more terrifying than knowing.” If I remember correctly what the consequence is then that is CERTAIN true
-I LOVE Citra and Rowan’s banter here!! You can see their chemistry early on!!
-UGH I WONT LIST OUT ALL THE MOMENT BUT THEYRE SO CUTE!!!
-Cute chapter! Lots of Citran moments!
Chapter 13!!
-“I’m a human being, not a mole.” Faraday is soooo fun sometimes like so fun and endearing???
-“Destroyed back in the age of mortality by something called ‘terrorism’.” OKAY SO YES THIS DOES GIVE US A LOT TO THINK ABOUT IN TERMS OF WHAT PEOPLE HERE KNOW ABOUT THE AGE OF MORTALITY BUT ALSO THAT IS RLLY FUCKING FUNNY SOOO
-I too hate walking at 6:30 am (I go to public school in America)
-“I have found that with the Scythedom, it is better to ask for forgiveness than permission,” He is iconic yall
-“What’s the worst they could do?” Things said before disasters—
-“Running the gauntlet” Like walking the red carpet!
-“Scythes wished to be seen as the many faces of light, not of darkness.” And soon they will be! Yk, just right after the plague—
-SCYTHE CURIE OMG OMG!!
-OO now they’re seeing scythe goddard ohoho I LOVE HAVING FORESIGHT
-Citra would cringe at the fact she at one point dazzled by goddard
-Rowan don’t be fatphobic /j
-I like that the conclave’s are pretty boring for the most part, makes it feel more realistic
-I love how only when Citra becomes a Scythe does she begin to understand these rituals, shows how much she grows
-OHOHO we got goddards fuckin note bullshit! Citra is gonna hear allll about that when she becomes a scythe
-Love how Chomsky is basically described as “as white as anyone could be” lmaoo token white man
-also gun lobby, nothing to say about it just…Gun lobby
-Rowan starting to talk like faraday is GOLD
-Again I love Citra and Rowan’s banter
-SCYTHE CURIE
-The idea of the weaponsmaster being a infomercial salesman is SOO funny i need to use that in my scythe oc shit
-Also that digital poison sounds fucking TERRIFYING
-The Scythes not liking the term ‘victim’ is rlly interesting to me, shows they really think of themselves as these faces of light
-Neal I don’t think you know what feminine hygiene products sound like—
-Hand of midas shit but even MORE horrifying!!
-I am terrible with names I saw Scythe Mandela and thought he was Scythe Possuelo and I have no idea why
-Who names their child Ransom??
-VERY good and long chapter!! Two more to go!!
Chapter 14!!
-OOO the test scene!! One of my favorites!!
-SCYTHE CURIE
-Again what is with the shit names??? Jacory??
-OHH you do NOT interrupt scythe curie girl you are FUCKED
-Oh Citra you’re gonna revisit the worst thing you’ve ever done REALLL soon
-ROWAN LOSING ON PURPOSE FOR CITRA IS SOOOO!!!
-GODDAMN IT RAND I LOVE YOU BUT STOP
-AND THE TENSION THICKENS WITH THE ADDED RULE OF THEM HAVING TO KILL THE OTHER OH MY GOD ITS STILL GOOD MAN!!
-We all want a relationship with the thunderhead Curie
-Very good chapter that adds to the stakes of the story!! One more to go!!!
Chapter 15!!!
-God the shock and confusion and how upset they all are really captivates this conversation
-And you see that eventually Rowan is very willing to die at the hands of Citra, that’s how much he loves her like UGHH
-“Scythes were supposed to be above the petty,” oh citra you have no idea bby girl,,
-Hash pales!!!
-THE KISS SCENE
-Ive already went in depth about why I love this scene in my Citran analysis post but UGH I LOVE ITT
-Liar!! You are totally in love rowan!!
-GODDARD THE BASTARD
-God he is such a fucking dick i hate himmm
-Very good chapter :)
AND THATS THE NEXT 5!!! Next time we’ll do chapters 16-20!

Here's an angsty Midenzo idea based off of new Midas info.
I'm honestly not sure how much of canon Midas lore even fits in my AU, because I don't really like the idea of him dying and being in the Underworld for a few years. Plus it doesn't make sense if he went there after 2:2 and is just now coming back in 5:2, because in my universe, Meowscles introduced him to Lorenzo in 4:3.
The gold pattern is different now and actually covering parts of his tattoos instead of just making them gold. The gauntlet is probably what's helping him to keep any control over the curse. I imagine if he takes it off and touches something/someone, he won't be able to prevent them from turning to gold like he could before.
But, confusing lore aside, let's say that if the new Midas and Lorenzo are together, it's angst time.
It seems like Midas is losing control of the Golden Touch. On his right arm is a gauntlet, which at first I thought was just decoration or holding ammo or something. But someone pointed out the losing control thing and it makes sense.
His right hand is now a prosthetic as well, due to Kado cutting his real one off. With both of these issues, he starts touching Lorenzo less and less. He's afraid that with his right hand, the power will overcome him and he'll unintentionally turn Lorenzo to gold. And with his left hand, he thinks it isn't enough because he can't even feel anything with it.
Lorenzo is of course sad from how distant they're becoming, and he constantly tells Midas that he isn't afraid, and that it doesn't matter if one hand is fake. He loves him and wants to be close to him no matter what.
There will definitely be some artwork based on this. 👀

Part Fourty-Four
Summary:  Baldwin Montclair had a string of ex girlfriends, a single child, and a  lifetime longer than most people could dream of to make all kinds of  mistakes. His family knew one which kept coming out of the woodwork to  irritate him every other century
Also on AO3
It was cold in the chapel.
Weak sunlight filtered through the windows, contrasting with the torches in sconces on the walls to deepen the shadows between them. In the gloom, Martin sat with his back to the wall, torc in hand.
"-that God has so few friends; if that is the way he favours them, he ought to have still less."
Martin's laughter echoed back to himself. Across from him, on the opposite wall, Hugh's shield, armour and sword rested on a metal frame Matthew had sunk into the stone floor. The plaque beside it read
In Memoriam
Hugh de Clermont
Beloved Son
'I hope you like the flowers' said Martin. Carnations and forget-me-nots wreathed Hugh's shield and gauntlets; a reference to Fernando masked by double meaning. Underneath the real ones flowers made from iron held the figure up, like vines grasping each piece of the mannequin together.
It had been Martin's gift to Fernando, and one that had received a chilling response from Philippe until his need to grieve his son had outpaced his dislike for his son's choice of mate and he had let the matter go.
'Well!' Martin rocked up onto his feet, stretching. 'I had best walk to the main gate. Your father is throwing a party for no particular reason again and he will be ushering guests in shortly.'
The cold breeze that started from nowhere as he turned to leave felt like hands pressing gently on his back. Martin gave a small smile, and walked outside.
________________________________________________________________
'Lucius!'
'Still Baldwin.'
Baldwin chuckled affectionately as Martin shrugged.
Beautiful. Like music.
He went to sit on the bench next to Baldwin, who shuffled over to give him space.
'Have you been up to anything new of late?'
Baldwin shook his head. 'Much the same as ever, I am afraid.'
'You need a hobby,' said Martin, observing Baldwin over the rim of the tankard a passing serving girl had rushed over and placed in front of him. 'You know, I think you should get into finance.'
'Yes, the mighty desk warrior; earning honour and glory through paperwork.' Baldwin sneered.
Martin grinned, nursing the tankard and leaning forward.
'Let me tell you the story of the king from Mali with the Midas' touch...'
________________________________________________________________
Philippe had toured the room twice, mingling and talking with visitors and locals. When he made it back to the high table again he was annoyed to see Baldwin still sitting at the edge of the room, listening to Martin rambling on.
He had specifically requested one or two individuals be here today so Baldwin could gently persuade them to follow Philippe's plans.
Now that he had a moment to properly observe his son, Philippe could tell Baldwin was listening to Martin. Really listening. He was staring at him with a focus that Philippe hadn't seen before; there was a warmth in his gaze that went beyond fondness, and a slight suggestion that he could start smiling at any moment.
Oh.
Oh no.
A millennia of willpower was the only thing which stoppered the scream of white-hot fury clawing up Phillipe’s throat. He ground his teeth and hissed.
His boy, his second son, mating with a thrice-damned nuisance?!
Gaul.
Patricide.
Insipid meddler.
‘Somebody has caught up with the rest of us it would seem,’ Marthe muttered quietly as she passed by Philippe’s elbow. Ysabeau placed a hand on his to ground him and remind him where they were, and he let out a long, long breath.
‘All of you knew?!’ Philippe hissed.
'If you confront them, they will deny it and end up hurting each other. It will be better to let them come to a conclusion on their own.' Ysabeau squeezed his hand, and Philippe, reluctantly, squeezed hers back.
Author's Notes
The joke that Martin tells was recorded in Facetiae, a collection of jokes published in 1470, written by Poggio Bracciolini. This chapter takes place circa 1324, so the joke is not era-accurate, but I couldn't find one from the 1300s.
The full joke:
"One of our fellow citizens, a very witty man, was labouring under a painful and lengthy illness, was attended by a Friar who came to comfort him, and, among other words of solace, told him that God thus especially chastens those he loves, and inflicts his visitations upon them. “No wonder then,” retorted the sick man, “that God has so few friends; if that is the way he favours them, he ought to have still less.”" (Medievalists.net)
Canonically Matthew made a shrine to Hugh in the chapel of Sept Tours out of Hugh’s shield, gauntlets, hauberk, coat of plates, sword and helm. We see a plaque on the wall in the show, so I incorporated both.
Oh the screaming. The screaming that occured when Philippe found out about what Martin had made. Matthew was, is, and will probably still be on his father's shit list for the next few centuries for keeping Martin's gift a secret from him. But in the end the entire family banded together and told Philippe to "build a fucking bridge, we want to mourn our brother/son/father/significant other" and it's a reference to Hugh's home in Spain*, so what's the big deal?
*Fernando and Gallowglass nearly broke Martin's ribs hugging him.
Carnations are the national flower of Spain.
I think that it takes a lot of energy for a ghost to materialise into corporeal form. Vampires and daemons cannot see ghosts immediately but they can feel their touch; witches can, of course, see ghosts in full whether or not they are actively trying to be seen.

blood sex appeal or like whatever
writing snippet under the cut!
"The gold-clad angel hitched his breathing, Shaking his gauntlets from his hands, the ceramic rolling and clicking as they fell. His fingers bloody from holding onto steel framing — his weapons a simple work in progress. Nothing that was god-given
The rile-up from seeing another's blood left such a piquant tang in his mouth. The overwhelming rage slowly being consumed by ego-filled justice with a hint of regret; Midas should hast killed this 'angel'"

It was compulsory, nessassary, and a strange part of his nature that he couldn't resist. The plum of redish maroon smoke filled the museum. "I am the Darkest of Terrors that flap in the night! I am the bug on the windshield of justice! I, am Negaduck!" He announced to the seemingly empty museum, though that didn't seem to bother him as he posed dramatically holding his cape out like a set of bat wings before releasing them. He then strutted around the place casually, avoiding the security lasers. The smoke helping a lot with that.
Tumblr media
His goal was a golden snake statue that he took care in swapping out for a toy rubber snake. "HA! Child's play. With you, I have the map to the legendary Midas gauntlet. I can turn this whole world to solid gold! I just need to figure out how to read this damn thing!" The yellow clad duck growled, turning the golden statue around in his hands, distracted in his task.

I'm so fking obsessed with them, had been since Chapter 2.

And now Jules is creating a gauntlet that'll restrict Midas's golden touch, and how it "could change everything" makes me wonder.
So don't tell me she wants nothing to do with her father. Being verbally praised isn't enough for her. She needs dad's head pets and caressing on her cheek as well. Because she's already working on it.

A Negaduck Timeline.
Negaduck-- criminal mastermind of two worlds!
Painting Notes: 90s - I don't really have any notes here, it's the first Negaduck painting I've ever done. ^_^U
2011 - Near the end of the 2011 comics run, Negaduck gains these sort of powers that are like venom in Spiderman (for lack of a better way to describe them). It's pretty cool. (Comic Artist: James Silvani)
2016 - "Can you imagine the chaos? It'll be beautiful." I don't know why, but that's one of my favorite quotes from the 2016 Darkwing comics. (Comic Artist: James Silvani)
2017 - It's really sad that Ducktales 2017 was cancelled. He was definitely one of the characters that deserved more episodes.
2023 (DW version) - from the Darkwing 2023 comics by Dynamite. He's back and he's ready for some mayhem! (Comic Artist: Carlo Lauro)
2023 (Negaduck comic) (SLIGHT SPOILER)- Referenced from a panel of the Negaduck 2023 comic by Dynamite. Negaduck finds the Midas Gauntlet. I'm super excited to see what happens in issue #4. (Comic Artist: Ciro Cagialosi)

It’s been a while since I’ve actually drawn or introduced another Escapee, so let’s change that up! Meet Lynkos the Living Diamond, right-hand man to Midas (feel free to interpret that as you will), a violent, brutish, and enthusiastic brawler.
Tumblr media
Lynkos is a character whose backstory I’ve admittedly done little to flesh out or explore, being more of an afterthought that I’ve procrastinated upon until the inspiration has struck. As of now, I’m workshopping on an idea I’ll get into later this post, but for now let’s focus on what I DO have cemented for him!
Lynkos is a rough-and-tumble type who loves to get his hands dirty (fitting, diamonds are born of the earth), bash heads, trade fisticuffs, that sort of thing. There’s a bit of a sadistic edge to him, but mostly he’s here for a challenge, and that’s part of his motivation in joining Midas’ group to kill the Wayvrens; They’re an invincible family who has changed the course of history and taken down innumerable, unstoppable foes! Nobody’s killed a single one as far as anyone knows, and Lynkos looks forward to breaking that record.
When the death of literal child Lloyd was brought up, Lynkos was skeptical; He didn’t find it to be good sport and probably a waste of time, but the others had their reasons and there was always a cooldown between encounters with the Wayvren who defeated him. May as well do it to kill time, get it over with… Except, Midas and his gang continued to fail, no matter how much they applied the effort.
It wasn’t so much that Lloyd himself was powerful and difficult to defeat; He was surrounded by a whole host of individuals who were very interested in keeping him alive, and THEY were a challenge! And suddenly, what seemed like an in-and-out sidequest became a legitimately Herculean task for Lynkos, who now looked forward to killing Lloyd, mostly because to do so would be an enormous accomplishment in and of itself; Sounds fun!
Diamonds are formed under pressure, so I imagine there’s some thematic symbolism I could incorporate here, of Lynkos as a person who loves to push his own limits, diving into the gauntlet to emerge fire-forged and stronger than ever! He’s like a brutal boxer, constantly training, toughening himself up as scars form to be more and more durable, until he comes out as hard as diamond.
But despite being seemingly impervious to scratches and other damage… Well, diamond is also brittle, and CAN be broken, especially by a fellow diamond. If Lynkos isn’t careful and pushes himself too far, one day he’ll strain and come against someone or something that will leave him totally shattered… But if he can, he’ll just get back up, recover, and use it as an opportunity to heal over his wounds and broken facets, because what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger! Like a weightlifter tearing up muscle so it can reborn anew, phoenix-like.
As mentioned, Lynkos is right-hand to Midas, and acts as his lieutenant; I thought there’d be some fun duality, since Gold and Diamonds go hand-in-hand as precious minerals. Granted, the actual value of diamond is exaggerated, so mayhaps that’s why Midas is just on top… Plus, there’s the duality, two sides of the same expensive coin, with Midas being a soft and malleable metal, Lynkos a hard and brittle crystal. One made himself this way, the other was always like this; Midas is a very heavy and existential, philosophical thinker.
Lynkos? He’s a lot more simple-minded, blunt, and straightforward. He’s here for fun, for a violent brawl and a challenge, and is eager to bust heads and knock skulls together, haha! He doesn’t really get a lot of the complicated ruminations that Midas, Barracudox, and Tamericus frequently engage in… But it’s not like Lynkos doesn’t have a personal philosophy of his own, seeking challenge to emerge stronger for it, even if it breaks him, especially if it does even!
Lynkos trusts Midas, he’s willing to jump in as a personal enforcer, and just for the chance to fight. He admires the Golden Man, engaging in complex discussions much too out-there for Lynkos’ brain, which technically IS a rock. Wherever Midas goes, Lynkos is probably going to follow, even if he doesn’t fully understand; Midas appreciates and values Lynkos’ loyalty, the trust is mutual, though there was an initial period in which the two had to acclimate to one another after escaping from the Tower of Tears.
Despite is name, Lynkos isn’t made of actual diamond, but a wholly separate, unique substance, crystalline and almost alive in nature; Hence the moniker, ‘Living Diamond’ and all. This stuff grows, branches, splits apart into a web of fractals. It’s much sturdier than actual diamond, too, with just a bit more flexibility; But it’ll eventually crack under the right stresses, as Lynkos quickly found out.
Lynkos grows his ‘living diamond’ from himself and is made of it; You could shatter his head and as long as a decent portion of him remains intact, he’ll regrow it, possessing powerful regenerative capabilities. He doesn’t really have any organs, he’s just solid crystal through and through, technically, and he’ll sometimes absorb and chow down on minerals to fuel himself. Call that carbo loading…
One of Lynkos’ favorite methods of attack is to turn both hands into a jagged cluster of crytals, and shoot them out rapidly, impaling enemies from afar. Since the crystals themselves aren’t actual diamond, they don’t contribute to the devaluing of it like Midas and his gold touch, though to be fair actual diamond isn’t THAT rare either. Lynkos’ pillar-like limbs can also extend, growing to grab and/or stab people as the sharp ends jut out.
There’s a pair of diamond clusters on Lynkos’ back that can each fire off and explode, acting as airbone mines that release waves of sharp crystal all over the place. Lynkos can pump the jagged ends of his arms or legs into the ground, growing trails of deadly prisms that erupt ahead of him. And when extending his limbs, crystals can split off from the rest, branching into their own directions like branches; And then those ‘branches’ can grow crystals that split off from the original, and so on and so forth.
So if you managed to dodge a crystal spire, beware! It might just sprout another one out of its side to impale you with, correcting directions with each new extension. As a result, Lynkos can create some complex structures that zig-zag and intersect with one another, blocking off enemies’ escape by creating a ring of diamond to trap the two of them inside with. As I said, Lynkos might be simple-minded in terms of his outlook on life, but don’t assume that doesn’t make him clever when it comes to physical combat; He’s fully explored, weaponized, and made the most of his crystalline form.
Of course, as fun as impalation is... Sometimes, nothing beats a good ol’ trade of fisticuffs! Lynkos’ claws and sharp crystals retract, leaving just a solid, durable prism out of his knuckles, before he rushes in and delivers a wave of beatings to break you down, make you crumble bit by bit. Diamond can be worn down and weathered away at, but it can also do the same to you as Lynkos. Be careful not to lock hands either, because Lynkos can always just sprout sharp crystals from his knuckles to shear right through your palms, yikes. Headbutts are similarly nasty thanks to that crown of Lynkos’.
Being a living, growing mineral, Lynkos acts as the ‘mind’ for it, and can thus command it to shatter or recede even when separated from his body. This is helpful in case he’s accidentally blocked off a path, pinned down an ally, that sort of thing, and it’s useful in setting up prisoners, pinning limbs to the side within the embrace of several crystals; Sharp points stopping right below the chin and all!
…An admittedly ridiculous idea I had for Lynkos when I was younger was also the ability to somehow carve and form four, tiny little wheels with sharp ridges on his chest and knees, even as Lynkos lies stomach down and tucks his limbs in; Enabling him to act as a ‘cart’ of sorts, the sharp wheels spinning on their crystalline axles to propel him forward. It’s really specific and implausible, but it’s an image and idea I’ve had so much fun with, that I might just keep it in anyway. Who needs a mine cart to transport crystals, when the mine cart IS the crystal transporting itself?
Fun fact, it’s possible that if left on its own, under the right conditions… Crystals generated by Lynkos, planted in the ground, might be able to grow on their own! Spawning additional clusters and masses. I dunno if I’ll go through with this, but it’s a fun concept to me, since Lynkos is ‘Living Diamond’ and the mineral he’s comprised of is akin to an organism, even. Diamonds are formed from carbon after all… Maybe he’s considered in-universe the possibility of growing other Living Diamonds like him, but so far all he’s accomplished are identical statues.
Which, now that I think of it, I could imagine Lynkos growing these as a decoy, or even leaving his original body behind as his consciousness goes down through his legs and into the ground, growing clusters of diamond that form a trail leading away, and eventually erupt and form into a newly-grown Lynkos! So he’s like a vegetable, a farmer in his own right, huh. It ain’t much but it’s honest work, Lynkos humbly declares as he tackles his old shell of himself into an opponent.
As for Lynkos’ backstory, as I said; It’s always been more of an afterthought. Maybe I’ll play around with the idea of coal becoming diamonds; Maybe he was born of a species of rock monsters, some of whom are coal and can be lit ablaze, and/or are deathly terrified of that. As a miner, he gets trapped in a cave-in, pressurizes over countless years, and emerges as the Living Diamond!
One of a kind but a possible mutation… Or not, it’s possible others of Lynkos’ species tried to replicate the process but failed. Maybe the conditions weren’t specific enough, and/or they ARE trying, they’re simply still in the process of forming when Lynkos escapes from the Tower of Tears, and still have plenty more years to go before they’d ready to emerge from their earthen cocoons.
I imagine this would contribute to Lynkos’ rough-and-tumble nature, his philosophy of applying pressure and challenge, praising stress as a way to grow and evolve. He went through the gauntlet, the heat of flammable coal subjected to subterranean pressure, and like a phoenix was born anew, that sort of thing. So maybe there’s a bit of a fire motif for this crystal, after all.
Maybe I’ll make Lynkos the same species, or an offshoot of the same species, as Magmint the Lava Golem. There’s so many transformed humans who are hardly human by now, what about members of other sapient species beyond recognition, not considering themselves as such? That does defeat the contrast of Midas becoming Gold while Lynkos supposedly Always Was, but maybe the foil comes from Midas choosing it while for Lynkos, it was a mining accident, a cave-in of fate.
As for what happened when Lynkos emerged, hmm… I like to imagine a story in which adventurers hear of the world’s biggest diamond, braving an abandoned temple full of traps that are… long decayed by now and non-functional, how impressive! They see warnings on ancient murals telling them that those who seize the diamond will die, and brush off this alleged curse. They find an enormous, man-sized cluster of crystals at the end of the temple, sealed away… Only for it to split apart, forming limbs as it emerges, yawns, and stretches out! It’s Lynkos!
So funny story, some ancient civilization captured Lynkos, seeing him as a precious artifact in his own right because he was made of diamond and could produce it. But then they realized he wasn’t ACTUAL diamond, had a rampaging brawler on their hands, and so shrugged and stored him away in a vault. So there’s no curse, actually; It’s not like the crystal brings some horrid fate upon you, it just grows limbs and kills you itself lol.
I haven’t smoothed out the details and have considered this story for Midas, whom as I’ve brought up, has parallels to Lynkos; Maybe one or the other WAS valued and objectified as a ‘statue’ of precious quality, and hoarded away for it. Who knows? But if it happened to Lynkos, well, the Tower of Tears wouldn’t be his first rodeo being captured and locked away in an ancient stone structure, forgotten until awakened and freed, years later…
His conflict with the Wayvrens is probably simple; Lynkos was being violent and destructive. Maybe they heard of how he was once sealed away, perhaps by his own species even, and opted to re-apply that solution, but with the Tower of Tears; Same difference, and more secure. But not completely as it turned out… When Lynkos escaped, he met up with Midas and the others, was attracted by the unbeatable task of killing the Wayvrens, and agreed to it.
On the side, I like to think, either before or after the tower, maybe both, maybe this is how he encountered the Wayvrens, Lynkos became the champion of an underground fighting ring of misfits and other strange yet powerful individuals. His design has a bit of a ‘wrestling belt’ too, though that was admittedly more of a happy accident and coincidence as Lynkos’ story was fleshed out. Maybe he encounters Trexdis, Lloyd, and the others for the first time when they enter an underground fighting ring for Reasons, and discover that this enigmatic Champion is none other than an Escapee, and one of Midas’!
Lynkos the Living Diamond… I expected this to be a lot shorter given his bare-bones backstory, but I guess I figured stuff out as I wrote along!

Random OUAT HeadCanons
Here are some things that live in my head but I’m not 100% sure I’ve talked about before.
Midas and Frederick/Jim - When Midas got his golden touch, he accidentally turned his wife to a gold statue.  This was, of course, hidden and the Queen was publicly announced to have died of a fever.  He then commanded all magicians, alchemists, fairies, and any magic user to come to his palace to help him find a cure.  The cure was not found in magic, but by the gauntlet he wore. The smith that fashioned it for him, did not want gold.  He wanted his children to have a better life.  His daughter was promised an education and a noble marriage.  His son was given the training and title of Knight.  So Freddy the Smith’s Boy became Sir Frederick.  Midas never forgot the boy’s humble birth and when Abbigail wanted to marry him, he “accidentally” turned him to gold.  So in Storybrooke his name is Smithson.
Queen Eva -  She was noted as from the Northern Kingdom.  What does that even mean?  I have spent a long time designing my version of the Southern Kingdom, so here is my take on the Northern.  While I based the Southern Kingdom on a fictionalized version of Spain at it’s colonial height, I base the Northern off of Imerial Russia, specifically post Peter’s westernization.  Eva, born Avgusta, was married to Leopold as part of her father’s political scheming and dreams of a modern kingdom.  Speaking of, the name of the Northern Kingdom (in translation) is actually the Empire of Mist and Snow, but the Midlanders (the people of the Enchanted Forest) rarely call kingdoms by their proper names.  They centralize themselves, naturally. So when Eva agreed to name her daughter Snow, it was not because of how pale or pretty she was, but to honor Eva’s homeland.  She, like Regina after her, was forbidden to speak her mother tongue and was trained to lose her accent by tutors before she ever married Leopold.
Regina, Law, Order, and Colonialism -
I have danced around colonialism in The Swan and the Nightingale.  I really can’t spend a lot of time on it, because the plot is already so complex.  Both the Southern Kingdom and many of the Enchanted Forest kingdoms had colonies.  The Southern Kingdom was mostly about resources.  By the time King Xavier passed (was killed by Cora) the kingdom was in dire straits and needed all then gold it could get its hands on.  So the lands (islands with a foothold on the central part of the continent to the west of Aurora’s kingdom) were drained dry and the people neglected.  One year, post killing Leopold but Pre-Curse, Regina had “winter lung” (Pneumonia) and her father took her to the continental colony to recover in the warmer climate.  She was horrified by the damages she saw and swore to never do that as a ruler.  She was drafting up disillusions and reperations for all of the colonies she had power over (They called Leopold the Conquering King in his younger days for a reason) but cast the curse before it could be fully enacted.  Not to spoil my own story, but this law was part of several that would have been colloquially known as “The Queen’s Kindness”: and would have been similar to England’s Magna Carta or the US Constitution - All together it would create a secular legislative body, established universal schooling and funded both a medical and socerer’s colllege.  The colonies would be released, the fedual system greatly reduced, fairies banished from governing decisions, magic made legal, and women given inheritance and land-rights.  It would have been revolutionary, and would have also caused a Civil War.  These laws were (for better and/or worse) disregarded and ignored when Snow and Charming took the kingdom.
Storybrooke’s Borders -
So if you go by the show, Storybrooke is connected to Maine by road and rail.  However, I think there is a third more reasonable connection.  Storybrooke impots and exports via the water.  There is an island on the bay that acts as a liminal space where Storybrookers can go to load/unload cargo onto outside ships.  The outsiders are effected by the curse just enough to glaze over Storybrooke in their minds.  Its just another stop.  Just another small town in rural Maine.  The USPS, Fed Ex, and even Amazon have a blindspot to Storybrooke that is maintained by this island dock.  The company that handle these delieries is headquartered in Bangor, but the boat runs out of Auburn.  Regina pays a lot of money to keep the service fast, reliable and without questions.
They could also import/export to/from Canada, but Regina did not want to see how the curse handled international law.

Terravenger Season 6 - The Druids of Light Arc - Episode 490 (Do Not Copy) - 11.26.2023
Inside a large room deep at the bottom of the Midas Academy, ten staff members each sat at a long table which had a row of computers. The staff who were each dressed in a long white coat typed on their keyboard of the computer as another person stood behind them.
This was the young humanoid cyborg called Seven of Nine. He had light skin, a slender body, and hazel hair that lowered to the start of his neck. A red light had shined from each eye. He had a small mechanical device implanted around his left eyebrow. And he wore gray polish on his fingernails. He wore a white suit with long sleeves and long leggings. On various parts of his suit were small blue gems while blue-green symbols were on the chest area. And he had on a pair of white shoes with gray on the middle.
Sitting on the fourth seat at the long table was a young man that had pale-brown skin, brown eyes, and short black hair. He wore a sleeveless black shirt with a large white hook printed on the center of the chest area. He had on a black gauntlet that covered each wrist and ankle. He also had on a pair of baggy sand-colored pants with a thin black belt. On each side of his waist was a small light-brown compartment shaped as a cylinder. And he wore black shoes with yellow-green at the top center. Along with that, he wore an opened golden-yellow vest with a thick collar and short sleeves. There were also a pair of of golden diamonds placed on the front right side of his vest while a large pocket was on the left side. He also had a MAF badge placed on the large pocket. And he wore a visor with blue lenses around his eyes.
The emotionless Seven ordered the youth "Let us test it, Raj."
The excited youth yelled "You got it Sir!"
And the boy pressed one of the buttons on his keyboard.
A large barrier of pale-blue energy began forming around the entire building outside.
Seven told his team "This has been an excellent testing of the school's main shield. That was great work."
In the Information Center at the Midas Academy's first floor, the young pair of Seth Black and Dilan Carr made their way through the crowd until they reached the elevator.
Dilan wore a long-sleeved black shirt with a battle suit protecting the chest area. On the top of the battle suit was silver while the bottom was colored light-brown and the center was green. He had a green pad covering each elbow which was attached to a thick black band. And he had on fingerless green gloves with white covering the black of the hands. He also wore a baggy sand-colored pants and short green boots. He had a thick white belt that had his golden MAF badge was the buckle. And he wore an opened light-gray jacket with a thick white collar and long sleeves.
Seth had on a black T-shirt with an opened light-green vest that had short sleeves. Printed on the back of his vest was a white half-moon symbol. He also wore a pair of tight jet-black jeans, a thin brown belt, and a pair of light-brown shoes with lighter brown covering the toes.
They both searched around the entire room.
Dilan claimed "It appears Duo was unable to arrive for the homecoming before the first day at the Academy."
"Jeez!" cried Seth. "Those parents of his are so overprotective!"
"It cannot be helped," replied Dilan. "His parents are only performing what they think is right for his protection although I am certain Duo will resent them for a while."
The pair suddenly heard a female voice call out "Then the information was correct!"
And they spotted the small group led by Paige McCormack hurrying to them.
Paige informed them "I was just told by Jinx that Duo was placed on lockdown by his parents for a few more days."
Then Iris replied "I heard that the father had asked Pacey to give a job to Duo at Deacon Enterprises."
Paige placed her left hand on her waist and said "It must be truly tragic for Duo to go through such an unusual ordeal."
"The premonition he has had," implied Seer. "They must have gotten worse. And that was why Duo was admitted into the hospital recently."
A worried Paige lowered her head and responded "His parents must have a powerful cause to hold Duo from school for a few days. I... I do feel for him."
Dilan added "And I have not heard a thing from Cutter Evans since he left on his mission during the summer. Otherwise we would have heard results from him about Duo."
Seth nodded his head and told everyone "I'm sure Duo's gonna get out of his prison sooner or later."
Iris gave a soft laugh and implied "You may be right Black. Duo is a clever person. He will figure a way to the Academy."
Terravenger -- Season 6
Episode 490:  The Druids of Light Arc -- Long-Lost
In a large hallway somewhere inside a dark temple, a large army of black-suited soldiers led a small set of soldiers dressed in navy-blue flak-jackets and helmets through two opened doors. The villainous soldiers who were led by Rocky Samuel and Kiona Dupree forced the captured soldiers to remain perfectly still.
The wicked lady known as Mother Blight started analyzing the captured using only her eyes until she was directed to one of the soldiers from the Midas Armed Forces who forced to their knees by the vicious Kiona Dupree.
Then the sinister elder removed the helmet from the head of this soldier. And the soldier was revealed as the student named Cutter Evans.
Inside a small office, a scared Duo Storms leaned forward as he stayed on the chair of a small desk which had a large white computer facing him.
Duo wore a buttoned white shirt with a long burgundy tie underneath his collar and a pair of long sleeves. He also had on a pair of dark-gray pants. And he wore black socks along with brown shoes.
He placed each hand on one side of his head as the helpless Duo continued receiving the devastating vision.
Duo's thoughts:
Inside a small dark room of the large temple, the villainous Mother Blight placed her right hand forward as the helpless Cutter Evans whose body was held as if he was tied by ropes remained at the other side.
Cutter slowly fell to his knees as the wicked elder moved toward him like smoke as her hand was still out.
And Mother Blight growled "I will have it! You know more about the Vessel than anyone! You will give the information to me!"
Then Cutter gave a tortured yell as he quickly faced the ceiling.
Next, Duo felt a great amount of pain coming from his head as he fell to the ground. He continued to hold his head with both hands as he saw the vision once again.
Then a possessed Duo slowly rose to his desk. He grabbed a black-inked pen that laid on the desk using his right hand. And he started writing on a piece of notebook paper that remained on the left side of the desk.
After that, Duo held his head with his hands as he faced the ceiling.
The note that was written in capital letters on the piece of pager was 'THEY ARE COMING FOR ME'.
And a male's voice cried "Young man! Are you alright?"
Duo continued to face the ceiling as the color of his eyes quickly changed from brown to green with white pupils.
A female's voice soon yelled "Someone get help!"
Inside the Principal's Office at the Academy, the worried Beau Ravenstone walked back and forth as one of his staff members stood with him.
Beau had worn a white uniform that had long sleeves and long pants. A thick golden bracelet was worn around each wrist while a thick silver belt remained around his waist. He had on a pair of zipped white shoes. He also had on an opened brown coat with light-blue covering the bottom parts. Placed on the top of each shoulder laid a long light-yellow pad. The Ravenstone crest was placed on the top of the coat's left sleeve. And his MAF badge was worn on the front left side of his coat.
Kirk Tucson had his arms folded before him as he watched his commander continue to walk around.
And Beau cried "His eyes? The color of his eyes had changed?"
Tucson reported "It was seen by I think four of the workers at Deacon Enterprises that Duo's eyes had changed. They each described them as a demon's eyes."
Beau stopped at his desk and asked "One of the workers did say that the color of his eyes became a wicked type of green with white pupils?"
Tucson shook his head and answered "That was it. That's what he described."
Then a fearing Beau described "They were his eyes. The Bringer of Death."
Tucson had his head lowered as he responded "It is official. One of your students had been possessed by the Light-Bringer."
And the worried Beau thought to himself.
Beau's thoughts:
During last year, Beau stood at the window of his office with his arms behind him as his own father stood at the front of the commander's desk.
"Dad!" called Beau.
Abraham faced him and asked "Is anything the matter Son? Does this have more to do with the Light-Bringer?"
Beau soon lowered his head as his father walked toward him.
And the commander revealed "Duo Storms, the student that I mentioned several times. The one that resembles Tai."
Abraham asked "The boy that paid his respects at the funeral months ago? What about him?"
Tears slowly fell from his eyes as Beau told him "That boy. He... Duo Storms. He... He is my son."
After that, a shocked Abraham stared at his son for a moment.
And the elder cried "What?"
Beau told him "Tina Mantys, the woman who I had the brief affair with long ago. It was discovered that she had given birth to a son months later -- my son. This had happened during the same year Miranda had given birth to Tai."
Then a shaken Abraham turned away and thought to himself once again.
"The baby," replied Beau. "Tina's baby. He is indeed Duo Storms. It was confirmed by the Medical Examiners. He... Duo... He is mine. He is my son. Your grandson, Dad."
Then Beau lowered his head as Tucson cried "There must be a story behind this. The connection between Duo Storms and the Agents of Light. But in reality, Duo's link to Mephistopheles."
"I still have not figured that part out," claimed Beau.
An hour later, the stricken Beau remained at his desk with his hands placed together and his head forward.
He said "Would I have known of your existence, I would have done all I was able to protect you like I should have done with your brother. Tai's death. It happened because I was not there for him. I would have helped him against them, the Cyberian Empire."
Then the commander faced forward and replied "I still cannot believe it was him that set the whole plan into action. The Bringer of Light himself. He was the reason why the evil professor Kinockee was released from her imprisonment."
"So Mephistopheles is threatening my own family now?"
Beau soon spotted a familiar individual standing at the opened door of the office. It was his own father -- Abraham Ravenstone. He was an elderly man with brown eyes and fair skin. His hair was gray and nearly fell to his shoulders. He also had a thin mustache and a fine beard. He had worn a buttoned light-blue shirt with a fine collar and short sleeves. He wore an opened light-gray coat with a pendant that had the Ravenstone crest attached to its front left side. He also had on a pair of dark-gray dress-pants, black socks, and black-laced brown shoes.
Abraham walked toward the desk as he had each hand inside the pocket on each side of his pants. And he stood before the seated Beau.
    "Dad?" called Beau.
Abraham gave a soft smile and told his son "I was updated by Anna. She told me everything that has happened until now, including a certain young man being hospitalized recently."
Beau lowered his head once again.
"You know what you must do next," said Abraham.
Beau laid his hands on his desk and balled each of them into a fist. After that, he closed his eyes and thought to himself for a moment.
Abraham told him "Reach out to him. Tell my long-lost grandson who you really are along with who he is. No more secrets."
Beau opened his eyes and tears started falling.
"You need to tell Dennis he has another brother," added Abraham. "And we must do everything we can to keep Duo from whatever plan Mephistopheles had for him."
The smiling Beau shook his head and answered "I will. But I must talk to his parents before. I must make the both of them understand that Duo will always be in danger now that his true identity has been revealed."
