Painting Notes:
90s - I don't really have any notes here, it's the first Negaduck painting I've ever done. ^_^U
2011 - Near the end of the 2011 comics run, Negaduck gains these sort of powers that are like venom in Spiderman (for lack of a better way to describe them). It's pretty cool. (Comic Artist: James Silvani)
2016 - "Can you imagine the chaos? It'll be beautiful."
I don't know why, but that's one of my favorite quotes from the 2016 Darkwing comics. (Comic Artist: James Silvani)
2017 - It's really sad that Ducktales 2017 was cancelled. He was definitely one of the characters that deserved more episodes.
2023 (DW version) - from the Darkwing 2023 comics by Dynamite. He's back and he's ready for some mayhem! (Comic Artist: Carlo Lauro)
2023 (Negaduck comic) (SLIGHT SPOILER)- Referenced from a panel of the Negaduck 2023 comic by Dynamite. Negaduck finds the Midas Gauntlet. I'm super excited to see what happens in issue #4. (Comic Artist: Ciro Cagialosi)
For Negaduck to prove he's the rightful leader of all villains, he needs to pull off an impossible crime — and this means he'll need the help of his fellow menaces! But just as our foul fowl settles into his top-duck position, he finds out the society's true plan — and it does not involve Negaduck! (Not in a way he'd like, anyway…)
Negaduck from the 2023 comics (Issues #4). The panel I referenced this from looked really cool, so I figured I'd paint it. Can't wait until the next issue comes out!
So a little while ago, I shared some of the future NegaDuck comic covers - and today I learned one of them got changed.
This is the revised edition - previously, the purple was red. They haven't said why they changed it, but I'm assuming making it look like blood was a no-go XD
✨that's a little tiny significant vulnerable moment from Negaduck. dawww. didn't even ruin it with the second half in my eyes. Negaduck admitting he needs them ✨
