Sooo suspicious. There's a BTS crew adventuring party but it's not after (or before!) the whole show comes out, it's between episodes 10 and 11? Something Weird is gonna happen with this. Some story reason aabria has hit us with Eleven episodes. No adventuring party for the penultimate episode? Something strange and exciting is happening here in my eyes.

MUNDUNGUS FLETCHER is TWENTY-SEVEN YEARS OLD and a PETTY CRIMINAL in DIAGON ALLEY in LONDON. He looks remarkably like ROBERT SHEEHAN and considers himself aligned with THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX. He is currently OPEN.

Born into a world far too dark, Mundungus’ only shining light was that of his older brother BUCKLEY FLETCHER. Three years his senior Buckley took to the role of protector exceptionally well, hiding him from the very people that brought him into the world to begin with. GILLIAN GREY had swept CHRISTOPHER FLETCHER off his feet with bouts of beautiful magic and had quickly fallen pregnant with Buckley without really realising the type of man she was about to spend her life with. After the birth of his first son Chrostopher turned cold and hard, using Gillian for her magic and neglecting Buckley completely, insisting that his weak-willed wife do the same. After three years of a sham marriage the couple tried to bring back the original spark by cruelly bringing another child into their family. Mundungus was a noisy baby, constantly crying through the night for the first week, this changed however when Buckley had realised that his parents didn’t care enough to check up on the baby, and so he himself would crawl into Mundungus’ crib each night to comfort the boy. From that day on Buckley never let Mundungus out of his sight, he was fed by him, changed by him and slept by his side every evening. It soon became clear that Mundungus was not the magic key the Fletcher’s needed to spark up their romance again and instead it added fuel to Christophers fire. The very thing that intrigued Chrostopher about Gillian was now the main cause of his annoyance, the once fascinating and intriguing magic now caused him to be jealous and cruel, annoyed with his lot in life, wanting more than ever to have magic himself he took it out on his now slightly older children. 

His silent looks and ignorance to their cries of help turned into vicious words and alcohol fueled swings of his hand, all the while his wife sat idly by, unwilling or uncaring to do much for their plight. As Christopher got worse Buckley took on more and more of a protector role to Mundungus, whenever their father was angry Dung would be pushed behind the legs of his brother, allowing him to take the brunt of the anger because he didn’t know any better, his way of thanks would be caring for Buckley in the aftermath, washing cuts and icing black eyes, both boys would then crawl back in to their shared bed and hold on to one another for dear life as the tears fell. This all changed however when Gillian plucked up the courage and tried to leave Christopher, he came across her one evening after the pub with suitcases in hand and locked her in the house taking her wand as he did so. Then turning on the boys Mundungus was once again pushed behind his brother, watching as the monstrous man he refused to call his father beat his older brother black and blue. He watched the only person he had ever loved fall, as if in slow motion to the ground, his small-framed malnutritioned body finally giving up on him leaving Mundungus alone for the first time in his life. ALBUS DUMBLEDORE had been watching the family closely, but never expected the situation to become that dire, and so immediately swooped in and removed Mundungus from the house his brother had died in. He was left in the care of a family close to the Dumbledores, HAROLD and FAUNA RAKEPICK took him in as one of their own, showing him more love and affection than he could have ever dreamed off. 

After a few weeks of silence he allowed the Rakepicks daughter PATRICIA to bring him back out of himself, he clung to her the same way he clung to his brother, but now they had nothing to be scared off so instead they laughed together and pranked her parents, a happy change from cowering in the corner. Coming out of his shell with Patricia meant that when their letters from Hogwarts came he saw it as an opportunity to start over properly, show himself as the hilarious prankster he had become rather than the shy scared boy of his past. Vowing to leave the trauma of his childhood behind him being sorted into Gryffindor with Patricia was the perfect opportunity to do so, quickly making friends with fellow trouble-makers DOMACLES BELBY and GRIFFITH VANE. The group of four Gryffindos wreaked more havoc on the school than anybody else, spending any spare moment pulling practical jokes and sneaking out into the forbidden forest. Where Patricia could lead this mifit gang and also keep her grades up, Mundungus could not, and so the addition of the two Ravenclaws GRACE EDGECOMBE and OTTO BAGMAN to their group was perfect as Otto helped toe the line between creating chaos and keeping up with the increasing pile of homework they were all receiving. 

That isn’t to say that Otto didn’t enjoy a little fun of their own, in fact they got Mundungus involved in a little game they liked to play. As the youngest in their family Otto didn’t have the pressure of the family name weighing above their head, and so to celebrate this fact they had turned into somewhat of a thief over the years. Bringing Dung into their game was a big risk on Otto’s part, but one that paid off, both students gained an unmatched thrill from taking what was not theirs and you would often find the pair holed up in the room of lost things looking at their stolen treasures. It’s not that the pair needed the items, both being rich beyond measure, it was all about the thrill of the game and soon Mundungus had lost sight of the boy he once was, making way for a selfish, spontaneous man who always took what he wanted. Another thing that Mundungus wanted but didn’t need was the attention of RITA SKEETER. An intriguing Ravenclaw  who he knew was only using him for his connections to Patricia and her schemes, wanting to run them in her Hogwarts gossip column. Using her just the same he had many flings through his years at Hogwarts, but Rita’s was constant, not because they particularly cared for each other’s company, more because they both got what they needed from one another and not a bit more. 

Leaving school with average grades he took up residence in a flat in Diagon alley with Otto, allowing the Bagman family to buy it outright the pair didn’t have to worry about rent and so Mundungus took up the job of full time petty criminal. Knowing he could have anything he desired with one floo call to the Rakepicks was a reassuring plan B but not wanting to take one more knut from the family that cared more for him than his own he used his own skills of looting to fuel his lifestyle.One could argue that the man should just get a job, but Mundungus had learnt through his friendship with Otto that he liked having the finer things in life, but also loved doing the bare minimum to achieve this. Flaunting the expensive clothes and accessories that he has previously stolen has led to CORALINE HEATHER, a gorgeous vampire working at Fair Faribault’s to take an interest in him. Knowing the reputation of those working in the establishment to seek out those of the highest means Mundungus has led the beauty to believe he is rich beyond belief, stealing her jewelry and taking her out to fancy meals in order to string her along. Another budding relationship comes in the form of ERIK BORGIN, a Pure-Blood elite and assistant to a shop he had attempted to steal from had decided to let Mundungus off in exchange for him being a wingman to the boy, now the pair can be seen in all the bars of Diagon Alley every Saturday evening trying to impress any witch or wizard that would have them. On occasion when both men strike out they have been known to go home together, Erik preferring the company of wizards and Mundungus not being picky either way. 

Although Mundungus lives a life of crime he also has a heart of gold, so when Albus Dumbledore turned up on his doorstep with an invitation to join the Order of the Phoenix he couldn’t deny the Professor. Feeling like he owed his entire life to the man he would do anything for him and so joining the Order was an easy decision. He also felt that the invitation to join the Order was Dumbledore’s way of getting him on the straight and narrow - the old man could dream. Joining however meant becoming close with certain aurors who he had previously had scrapes with, one in particular being KINGSLEY SHAKLEBOLT who although they started off slightly awkward as Kingsley had been the first auror to ever arrest Mundungus they were now close friends. Working for the Order has brought purpose to Mundungus’ life that he has never had before, particularly excelling in sleuthing behaviour and stealing important information for them his tasks often include sneaking around which he obviously enjoys immensely. Making connections through the Order has also meant that certain aurors who are also sympathetic to the cause let him slip through their grasps if they ever come across him acting in a slightly unbecoming manner, it has done wonders for his collection of stolen treasures and also his rap sheet.
