being a FIRST robotics alumni is just wanting to make AUs for every single fandom your in . put these beasts in a situation, and the situation is six weeks of caffeine, insanity, pizza, and off-brand snacks

and then traveling across the country (or world) while sleep deprived, once or more

"W-What are you on about?! Who else would I tell!" Maybe it was being shaken by someone she had only met for less then 1/4 of the year or being called a "shoujo protagonist" but something snapped again in Mika. The first few times were during her little "villainess" era, the next was seeing what happened to Drone Nier. And now it might've been the partial realization that any real "parental figures" in her life sorta just disappeared over the past year. Of course not all of them were gone judging by her phone contacts. But trying to reconnect and bringing up the topic of love seemed akin to walking into their home and pouring cold water onto them.

Because of that she was now being lectured by someone who was at least two or three years below her...

"I'm sorry I'm not someone who can just repair all their problems away! Affairs of the heart get complicated once you see their lifeless body in front of you. What did you want me to do? "Oh hey there! Sorry I shot you when whatever demon program decided to invade you! But hey, I love you and I hope you say it back!"

It had gotten to the point after Uzi threw the frozen dinner (that she didn't even realize was in there in the first place) she got up from the table, tossed her capelet on the chair, and began to walk upstairs but not before walking back and throwing the dinner in the microwave and slamming the door shut with the heat option.

"First of all you throw it in here! Unless you want me to break all my teeth!"

Afterwards she went back upstairs to her room, shouting something loudly upon reaching it and slamming her feet every step back down to the kitchen with phone in tow.

"I don't want to do anything dumb. And I don't want her to have to be put on the spot either." Which is why she opened it up and went over to the message feature, typing in a a uncharacteristically short and serious sounding message.

And the moment she hit send Mika slammed her phone onto the table, letting out a sigh as the microwave beeped.

Teasing her looks like it's getting Mika to calm down a bit, thankfully. Even if they aren't super close, Uzi doesn't want the other girl to be, like, depressed or anything. Especially over something as silly as accidentally mortally wounding someone you had a crush on. After all, she'd blown N's head clean off the first time they met, and now they were dating. Mika's overthinking things!

But the more Mika talks, the more Uzi feels like maybe she'd underestimated the depths of how the other girl felt. It was one thing to mess with someone about a crush, but it's another thing to... Well, Uzi doesn't really know what to call this. Mika's expression softens as she speaks, and her brow knits with a heartfelt concern. Some kind of obscured tragedy, a feeling of pity and caring, and a longing for understanding.

Uzi opens her mouth to point out that a tragic backstory is more or less mandatory for something like this when Mika drops the L-word. Immediately, she stops, eyes going wide.

"Oh. You, uh. You l-"

Uzi leaps onto the table and crawls on all fours towards Mika, grabbing the girl's collar. "I can't be the first one you tell that! Me and my boyfriend haven't even kissed yet- You love her?! Are you some kind of frickin' shoujo protag?" she shouts, shaking her.

Then she stops, sweat drops tracing down her visor, and scuttles back a little. "I almost killed my boyfriend and it was months before we started dating! And you don't even know how she feels- oh my robo-goooood!"

She can't tell if she thinks Mika is moving too fast or if she's just jealous. Both? Which one makes her look better?

Still groaning, Uzi slides off the table and makes for the fridge. There's food inside, but it's all completely alien to her, so she grabs some kind of frozen, ready-made meal and slams it on the table in front of Mika. "There. Eat something! Clearly, you're delirious from hunger, otherwise you wouldn't be saying stuff like that. It's like when I did nothing but binge The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya for two days straight and- W-whatever! My point is-!"

It's silly to be angry about this, so Uzi hangs her head. "If you do... feel like that, then fine. But you better make sure before you do something dumb."
