Mike groaned, the rain and the music box disturbing his dream. He slowly rose and ran a hand through his hair. He blinked through the fog and squinted around, looking for where the music box was coming from. Was it part of his dream? Was it just his head messing with him?

One of these days, he was going to learn to say 'no' to his manager.

Mike stood in the parking lot as he fiddled with the keys in his hand. This wasn't his franchise location, or even his home state; he was here to visit some of his sisters' extended family, not to work! But Lupe knew a guy who had a friend who she owed a big favor to, and he just so happened to be in the area that friend needed a favor in, and now, well...here he was.

"Alright, Schmidt," He told himself as he approached the locked gates. "You would have just laid awake all night, anyway, to keep up your sleep schedule. Not like you had anything better to do." He pushed the gates open to get at the main doors, and winced and the screeching creaks they made. Oof, these things have seen better days...

Once inside, Mike paused to dig up his flashlight from his jacket pocket, and clicked it on to illuminate the faded primary colors of the welcome arch. He let out a low whistle as he locked the door behind himself with one hand before moving deeper into the building. Here went the first of three (hopefully quiet) nights.
