So, since I had a ton of DA OCs, I’ve narrowed the field again to 17 major OCs - a few new faces, but most are the important ones I would like to write about most and have the clearest picture in my head for. Don’t worry, the others are all safely in the old page, accessible from the new gallery page ;D
Please do me a favor and check them out, tell me who you like, who’s cool, who you think would be a better romance option for them, ask me stuff - anything! Love to hear from y’all!

Through These Bars
For @scharoux and @spring-into-love and the March Spring Into Love Prompts!
Prompt: “You make me feel alive.” Pairing: Mikhail Surana x Thom Rainier
Warning: language
“Rainier. You’ve got a visitor. From the Inquisition.” the guard growled, hacking phlegm to spit at Blackwall’s boots, as though he wanted to do much more than that to him for hoodwinking the Child of Andraste.
Tash had come and gone a few days ago, promising at first to have Blackwall released before Cullen had arrived and quickly spirited the boy away, likely to tell him the awful truth. He would regret that; having spoiled the boy’s innocence more than what the fight against the Elder One had already done.
At first, he worried that the boy was here again, but instead, the shape of an elf emerged through the gloom, and despite himself, his heart gave a leap. Blackwall shoved his feelings down. He had no right to a beating heart.
“Alright, General Surana. Here he is.”
Mikhail, for his part, had been surprised by the revelation. He had spent quite a while with Blac- with Rainier, and Maker, was that going to take some getting used to, and he had had no idea.
“Mik.” Blackwall - no, Rainier - ah, sod it - the man said hoarsely. “You shouldn’t have come.”
“And you shouldn’t have lied to me, but here we are.” came the retort. “So... what do I call you then? Blackwall? Rainier? Thommy?”
Blackwall stared at him mournfully through the bars, but did not speak.
Mikhail felt his temper beginning to flare up and forced down his rage, trying a different tack. “So what? You had some nobles killed or whatever. That’s just a regular Tuesday in Orlais, right?”
“This isn’t funny.” Blackwall said flatly, gripping the bars.
That did it.
Mikhail flew at him, slamming against the cell door, rattling the metal in its casing with unnatural strength. “You’re bleeding right, it’s not funny! You’re in a fucking Orlesian cell, and you’re going to be executed, and you didn’t even think to tell me!”
Blackwall averted his eyes from the elf’s piercing gaze. “I left a note.”
“Your fucking note! You left me wrapped in furs, naked, cold, and alone, and you told me I wasn’t good enough to stop you from going to commit suicide through the law!”
“I couldn’t live a lie! Aren’t you better off without someone like me?”
“That’s my decision!” Mikhail seethed. “You... agh, you oaf! You fucking make me feel alive! I like the person I am with you, and I hate the person I become without you! I need you, Blackwall! I... sod it all, I love you!”
Blackwall blinked several times in surprise.
Mikhail growled. “Well? Say something, or I’m burning my way through those bars and breaking you out whether you like it or not.”
“I... I love you too, Mik. When you came to my cabin in the Hinterlands... those were the best days of my life. And then, when we joined the Inquisition, I thought my feelings for you’d go away, but they only became stronger. I... I couldn’t bear knowing I was lying to you, that I was keeping you from someone who deserved you.”
“Oh, shut up!” Mikhail roared, but suddenly his fire died out and he looked very sad and weary. “Please. Blackwall... I need you. Please don’t leave me.”
He sank to his knees, sniffling, putting his hand through the bars desperately. Blackwall hesitated, but then clasped it in his, bringing it to his lips. He kissed Mikhail’s hand tenderly. “I... I can never refuse you, can I?”
“Probably why you had to slink off in the middle of the night.” Mikhail chuckled wryly.
“Probably.” Blackwall sighed. “But... I must face judgment. Until then, I shall remain by your side.”
Mikhail nodded. “I don’t know what’ll happen. My guess is that Tash will try to influence things. He’s a stubborn little thing. And then you will be mine.”
“And if he does not?”
“Then I will remain with you until the end. You’re my life, Blackwall.”
“I’m sorry. I wish I could have taken better care of you.” he sighed.
They moved closer, on opposite sides of the cell door, and shared a kiss. They tangled their hands together, trying to make as much contact as they could.
It was another day before a guard came to tell them Blackwall was being sent to Skyhold for judgment. And though Blackwall worried about the impact of his decision and how he would have to face those he had wrongs, Mikhail smiled. It may have been selfish, but the man he loved was by his side, and would live for at least a little longer.

Note
Mage warden that takes thunder storms as a challenge and each time they see natural lightening they take it as challenge and try to literally out do nature.
Mikhail Surana isn’t a Warden, but he has a very competitive mentality. While his specialty is fire, he definitely throws some lightning with the best of them. Blackwall finds it hilarious and more than a little sexy when Mikhail rushes into the storm, rain making his clothes cling to his lean muscles, and send a powerful bolt of lightning back at the sky.

You Idiot
For Day 8 of @scharoux‘s 14 Days of DA Lovers’ Prompts!
Day 8: Patching Up
Pairing: Mikhail Surana x Blackwall/Thom Rainier
“You idiot.” Mikhail raged, tossing a vial across the room, sending it shattering against the wall. He glared at the big hairy buffoon he called his husband. “Why exactly did you think it was necessary to throw yourself on a Qunari sword?”
Blackwall shifted with a wince, the bandages encircling his stomach were still stained with blood. He glared at the surroundings, possibly wishing he was back in Skyhold’s stable instead of at the Winter Palace.
“I told you, Madame Vivienne would have fallen had I not interceded.”
Mikhail muttered darkly about what a tragedy that would be.
Blackwall raised an eyebrow. “The Qunari invading will affect all of us. Might as well protect our allies.”
“Oh? And is Madame de Fer suddenly incapable of casting her own barriers?” Mikhail inquired sarcastically. Blackwall blushed.
“Damn it, Thom, you forgot about the barriers?” Mikhail groaned.
“I’m not a mage; It’s not like I know magic that well!” he protested.
Mikhail shook his head. He waved his hand, sending the shattered glass pieces swirling around until the vial reformed. “Lean back.”
Blackwall grunted with exertion as he lowered himself onto his back. Immediately, Mikhail was there, his hands warm on Blackwall’s skin, helping him. “Easy now...”
The warrior smirked as Mikhail’s hand drifted across his hairy chest. He lifted his arm to grasp the elf’s wrist, keeping his hand pressed to him. “Mik...I’m sorry for worrying you.”
Mikhail sighed. “’sall right. I’ll be fine. Now, let me heal you.”
“Ser, yes Ser, General Surana.” Blackwall chuckled, although he kept hold of him.
“Thom... my hand?”
“I was thinking we could do something else...” he smirked.
Mikhail rolled his eyes, but leaned down to kiss his way up Blackwall’s chest to his lips. “No. Healing first.”
“Maker’s balls.”
“Tough.”
Blackwall sighed while Mikhail unwound the bandages and worked some spells to seal up his wounds and repair him. He noticed the elf smirking at him and glared.
“What?” he growled. “What are you staring at?”
Mikhail laughed, spreading a small bandage along the scar formed from the healing. “You’ll keep healing over the next few hours until you don’t even have a scar.”
Generally, Blackwall would say something romantic that would make Mikhail’s heart flutter like he was still a young boy, but instead the warrior kept glaring. “What’re you staring at?”
Mikhail sighed. “The blade gave you a bit of a shave. You’re all lopsided.”
Blackwall swore, then moved for the mirror. “Damn... I suppose I’ll have to shave, now.”
“You could cut your hair, while you’re at it.” Mikhail teased, earning a mock glare from Blackwall, though a twinkle formed in his eye.
“Fine. How about this. I give you what you want, you give me what I want. You get to shave me and cut my hair however you’d like.”
Mikhail grinned. “And in return?”
Blackwall darted in, scooping Mikhail up and pressing a kiss to his lips. “In return, you come with me to our chambers and we don’t come out until this whole Exalted Council business is over. Or at least until we absolutely have to. What do you say? After all, isn’t a man entitled to some time with his husband after being injured?”
Mikhail laughed and kissed Blackwall’s nose. “It’s a deal. But... my thing first, all right?”
Blackwall barked a laugh. “Fine, you bastard. Go ahead.”
Mikhail chuckled as he grabbed a chair from the corner of the room and slowly pushed his husband into it, running his fingers across the man’s broad chest. Blackwall let out a little involuntary shiver as Mikhail’s fingers brushed over his nipples. “Let’s get started, love.”

The Flame of Freedom
Ser Mikhail Surana, General of the Rebel Mages, formerly Apprentice of Kinloch Hold [face claim Grant Gustin]
“I’m not exactly what you might call level-headed. When I heard that Fiona was going to put us under Tevinter’s control... well, I called her a stupid old windbag, but far less delicately. I didn’t survive Kinloch only to become a slave to some magister. So I left. I left as soon as I heard, and I told Fiona she’d regret it. Do I regret that? Maferath’s knickers, no. It led me to Warden Blackwall, and to the Inquisition. I think much more of your cause than I do of Fiona right now. But my fellow mages - our fellow mages - deserve our help. Don’t punish them for Fiona’s mistake.“
-Mikhail, making the case for siding with the mages at Haven’s War Table.

33 & 45 for the DA OC of your choice.
Thanks! I’ll do this for... Mikhail Surana, General of the Rebel Mages and Arcane Advisor for the Inquisition.
If your character wanted to be alone, where would they go?
When he enters Skyhold, Mikhail kind of carves out the empty tower for himself. Until Tash designates it as a mage tower, where he kind of watches his space get smaller. Eventually he just takes a spot behind the stables to be alone.
Is your character the kind to hide their true emotions or do they wear their heart on their sleeve?
He’s a hothead with a heart of gold, and he has no time for pretty words or platitudes. You know what he’s feeling as soon as you see his face or hear his voice.

Note
Ser Mikhail Surana & Blackwall 1, 3 & 5.
Did they suspect his true identity at all? Were they taken by surprise when he revealed himself?
Mikhail spent about a month and a half with Blackwall in the lake cabin before they joined the Inquisition. He certainly suspected that the man was not a true Warden, but he figured it was something he would leave alone. Besides, Mikhail was already smitten with him, even if he didn’t recognize it. He wasn’t very surprised at the reveal.
Did their treatment of Blackwall change after discovering who he was? If yes, how so?
Mikhail became a bit more protective of Blackwall after learning the truth. Though Blackwall’s presence calmed him, his hotheaded temper often meant anyone insulting his love ended up set on fire. Otherwise, Mikhail remained very much the same, which Blackwall appreciated.
Did they remain in contact with him after the events of Trespasser?
In actuality, sometime between the two years between Corypheus’ death and the Exalted Council, Mikhail and Blackwall were married. Blackwall was even appointed Inquisitor by the resigning Tash, and Mikhail stayed on as his Arcane Advisor.

🖊 with OC of your choice
I thought I’d go with some of my OCs who haven’t gotten as much creative love, you know?
Ser Jesse [Jared Padalecki]
Former Templar who betrayed Meredith to join the Hawkes in Kirkwall. Captain of Inquisitor Tash’s honor guard and later serves as his chief bodyguard post-Trespasser. Has a rich singing voice and is Fourth Tenor in the Sing-quisition. He is a Starkhaven native and does, in fact, wear a kilt on occasion.
Aura Ghilain [Caty Lotz]
Inventor and artificer acting as the Inquisition’s representative from Clans Lavellan and Ghilain. Romances Sera. She is excited to learn from Dagna and helps Harrit with his work, fashioning weapons and armor as well as traps and useful devices. She crafts an automated puppet show for the children at Skyhold.
Innes Cousland [Richard Madden]
Lord of Highever and the youngest Cousland child, Innes is a trained bard and a total softie. He serves as Alistair’s royal retainer and knight, and joins the Inquisition with his lover/bodyguard Ser Gilmore to help train the troops and assist Josephine. He also joins the Sing-quisition as first tenor. He likes playing the lute for people and occasionally holds impromptu concerts in the lighted gardens of Skyhold, much to Maryden’s chagrin.
Mikhail Surana [Grant Gustin]
General of the Rebel Mages, who left when Fiona decided to seek shelter with the Tevinters. He stayed in Blackwall’s cabin after being injured by some stray Templars who ambushed him, and the two ended up romanced. Born in Jader to city elves. He and Rainier elope before Trespasser (Tash pouts that he didn’t get to go to the wedding) and they each wear a green band on their ring fingers. He serves as Ser Rainier’s aide and advisor after Tash steps down and appoints him as his successor.
Teddy and Aron Trevelyan [Marlon Teixeira and Henry Cavill]
Close half-brothers (Teddy’s mother is Antivan and Aron’s deceased mother was from the Anderfels). Teddy is a mage at Ostwick and becomes Tash’s Knight-Enchanter instructor after Helaine shouts at him and calls him an oxboy. Potential love interest for Cullen, and they are sweet together. Aron became a Templar hoping to protect his brother, but was instead sent to the Gallows and became disillusioned, quitting the Order forever. Romances Dorian, but they break up when Dorian returns to Tevinter. Loves tea and drinks it religiously.
Vili Baldursen [Tyler Hoechlin]
An Avvar warrior, Vili has always had the unique ability to see and speak to spirits, despite not being a mage. He earned the legend-mark “Sun Speaker” after convincing the spirits to help his hold through a particularly rough winter. He goes wherever the spirits take him, first to Kirkwall to stop the spread of Red Lyrium, and then to the Inquisition to protect the Outworlder Henry Lucas from Corypheus. Ends up in a relationship with Henry and Cole. Is surprisingly delighted by the taste of cheese and fruit.
