i tried to recreate the anime art style thru a mix of 75% drawing and 25% editing! still find it so funny how easily saiki gets spooked when wearing the germanium ring lol

im a huge fan of aiura being the person that saiki would go to if he ever finally broke and needed someone..

like sure, he could go to akechi, the person who knows him better than anyone else, has been through the most with him.. he could go to toritsuka who may not know what to do, but has seen him (and STOOD with him) at his worst.. he could go to his mom, who loves him more than anyone else, unconditionally.. he could even go to kaido, or teruhashi, or kuboyasu, or nendo, or even HAIRO, who would have absolutely no fucking clue what was going on but love him to pieces and would protect him with their lives..

but he doesnt. he goes to miko. his "soulmate." she doesnt push him to tell her what happened, she just wants him to be okay, she can hold him and comfort him without even fully knowing whats wrong... she doesnt analyze him, doesnt freak out about him showing emotion and panic (ok maybe a little bit internally), doesnt get so overbearing in her concern that she accidentally makes it worse..

she just CARES and is genuinely so touched that he would share such a hidden part of himself with her..

we all know that he would keep everything to himself for as long as possible.. but in the event that it just keeps getting worse and he has no idea what to do, SHE would be there..

how i think some character’s thoughts react to seeing kuriko:

toritsuka : immediately attracted to her and only a little bit because she looks like saiki

‘wow. that chicks kinda cute, huh? she looks around my age, too. maybe i should- actually, no that would probably go badly. … oh fuck? she’s looking over here. we’re making eye contact. her eyes are so pretty- and her expression is so scary oh my god??? what kind of spiritual aura even is that? it’s like she’s staring into my soul… did i piss her off somehow? you know what, i’ll leave, i’m just gonna get out of here. that girl is pretty cute but totally terrifying…’

aiura : immediately clocked her as saiki lol.

‘heh? isn’t this kusuo’s aura? so he’s here in the same place as me then (fate? yeah, definitely fate), but where..? oh, there he is! . eh? is that-? why does he look like a girl now? … so even kusuo has that kind of hobby… you look great by the way, babe!’

‘hmmm. well, objectively speaking that girl is quite pretty isn’t she? for starters her hair is a very nice shade of pink and it looks so nicely styled too while still managing the “effortless” look well enough that if i didn’t know better about hair styling i’d say she didn’t do anything special to it at all and her eyes are such a deep shade of violet too and they really remind me of saiki-kun’s in that way. speaking of saiki-kun he and this girl do look sort of similar now that i put my attention on it. maybe it’s because i have seen saiki-kun’s eyes before too even if it was only for a moment and know that they’re a similar color or maybe it’s just that perpetual pout that they both wear.. regardless this girl is really very attractive, i guess if i did have a type it would be girls like her with defined jaws and soft looking skin however this is all immaterial considering i can only really have eyes for—‘

If you’ve noticed I haven’t posted anything to AO3 in a while… well, thanks for noticing! All is going well in my life; I’m just tired and lacking motivation these days. I have a lot going on (all good things), so writing has taken a bit of a backseat to real life responsibilities. That said, I am working on another A-Z MikoSai one shot series, like the one I published last February. It’s just taking me a little longer. But expect to start seeing fics on my profile again here shortly. Hoping to have all 26 fics written and posted by mid-April.
