I feel like Miles is the most excited for RG to happen so he can talk about it more in depth without worrying about spoiling things. But we need to get more RWBY for that to happen so GREENLIGHT V10 ALREADY DANGIT!

He wants to talk about RG so badly you can see it in his eyes whenever anyone asks him a question about their dynamic. Says he loves the ship. Loves Oscar Pine. Regularly mentions how much he wants to see Ruby and Oscar interact more.

Reason Why Rosegarden is Canon: #007

Miles Luna (affectionately referred to as RG King by many shippers), one of the show's head writers since Volume 1, has shown constant support for the ship at panels as well as in viewer submitted questions on Cameo. Everything from direct questions about the pairing's validity to talking hypotheticals, he often puts emphasis on Rosegarden in ways that are pretty difficult to ignore.

Bestie I barely slept last night. Two cameos back to back like that should be illegal.

I'm not holding the hypothetical shipping question one to any high standard since he's done it for a bunch of ships now but... that one where he talked about how they're awkward and adorable and how they both relate to each other? Plus the little prince confirmation? Plus the order of the birthday presents list?

Builds up and saves Ruby for last, who got him a copy of one of their favourite video games, and drew a picture of him "looking cool" on the wrapping paper, and where everyone else got Oscar's attention during the day, he stays up with her until 4am to play and spend time with her? And then falls asleep next to her because he is loved by all his friends and feels safe enough to do so????!?!!?!

No sorry brain chemistry has been irreversibly changed.

As for if Miles is hinting, he's said a few times that he doesn't want people taking anything he says in these as canon confirmation of anything so I wanna respect that.

But also we call him Miles The RG King Luna for a reason so 👀

Everyone always asks if Oscar is fine. But sometimes you gotta ask HOW is Oscar fine - considering the amount of owies and ouchies he takes throughout the series, both physically and emotionally. And he's only what? 14-15? He is VERY strong for a young man (maybe that's why Ruby likes him so much lol)

anon, I have to be so real with you, the first time I read this ask I was very sleepy and thought you meant fine as in "Oscar Pine? More like Oscar Fine, amiright? 😏" and not... As in "okay" in light of crippling trauma LOL

But yes I agree! idk how Oscar is okay rn and tbh... I don't know that he is. He's been following Ruby's footsteps in a lot of ways, ESPECIALLY with that "keep moving forward" stuff from the dojo scene. The merge progressing and Oz's influence of having done this hundreds of times by now also isn't helping this kid slow down and just... Address any of this. Or let himself feel any which way about it all. Not to mention just not having time.

I know RWBY - and I say this with love - struggles with character bloat and budget/production restraints, so we often don't get to see everything the writers want to include, but I'm really hoping we get a moment where Oscar does get to talk about it. Or cry about it. Maybe in the dojo scene reprise I'm v convinced is going to happen. LET THE BOY CRY CRWBY >:(

But also lol at least we know, thanks to this cameo from Evelyn (I'm sorry I can't remember your url rn and I'm on my phone so no luck finding it 😭), that Miles the RG King Luna himself is aware of this issue. In his opinion, if Oscar were to have fallen in the Ever After, he would have needed to be distracted by something else so as to not notice Ruby's struggles. And that may have come in the form of him having to face of all he's been through, all the times he's been knocked down, and ask himself how he still keeps getting up.

He is much braver and stronger than he gives himself credit for, and he really shouldn't have to be. They're all just kids :((

Reminder that Miles gave rosegarden shippers his blessing to ship it. TWICE. and then he fed us a feast with Ruby and Oscar’s dynamic and how they saw each other, and the promise that he wants to do more with the two in the future, together.

So, if anyone is making you feel bad for shipping rosegarden, just know that we have Miles ‘The RG King’ Luna on our side.
