Life update: too many Wardens

I can’t tell if naming the Warden’s dog Flemeth was the best or the worst decision I’ve ever taken, but I’m willing to face the consequences of my actions.

4. Describe their worst nightmare.

In general, failure. More specifically, being responsible for someone else’s safety and failing. Even more specifically, becoming Orzammar’s commander was a nightmare and he was lowkey relieved when he didn’t have to do that anymore, but uh. It’s not gonna last.

No nightmares in the literal sense since he doesn’t dream, but now that he’s a Warden the Archdemon is gonna take care of that as well.

6. What is something that never fails to make them feel sick?

The thought that the world might never know, that he might never know, what truly happened to Trian. Because he still doesn’t believe Bhelen killed their brother and framed him. 

In the literal sense, he can’t adjust to eating fresh, raw fruit, because why is it Moist and Juicy and isn’t it unwise to simply pluck it off a tree and eat it and didn’t Morrigan say trees are sometimes demons??? Alsitair wait don’t put that into your mouth without stabbing it first

15. Who do they hate the most?

The Archdemon maybe? I mean he doesn’t actively hate anyone, not even Loghain or Bhelen because he has a hard time grasping the concept that Loghain would betray his King or that Bhelen would betray his House. He keeps telling himself that there must be more to both stories, and translates that confused anger into a frenzied pursuit of the Truth™

Questions About Creating Your OCs

10. If they have an LI, how much of their character is tailored to be compatible to that person? 

None. I started playing thinking I’d end up romancing Zevran again and just run with it, but then flirting with Morrigan sorta came naturally. I wasn’t planning to do her romance because I’m bitter about it being a f/m thing only, but I am weak and I caved in. 

So yeah, no tailoring at all. He’s actually pretty much the opposite of Morrigan’s personality in the early stages. I’m just sitting here and watching the disapproval roll in while wondering if Morrigan knows how much I love her.  

11. Did you know what the OC’s sexuality would be at the time of their creation?

I knew he wasn’t going to be straight, and he isn’t. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

1: Which origin did you first choose?

Dalish elf! 

2: Which origin is your favourite?

I haven’t played city elf, dwarf commoner, and elf mage yet, but I think Dalish elf is still my favorite? I just. love Tamlen so much and his friendship with my Warden. 

6: Does your Warden regret becoming a Grey Warden?

I’m gonna answer these for Miloš Aeducan since I never really talk about him! 

He doesn’t… exactly regret it, but he’s not happy about it either. At first, at least. He’s met Wardens before Duncan and he’s always had a lot of admiration and respect for them, but that’s about it. It never crossed his mind that he’d become one of them, and when that’s the only solution he has no choice but to roll with it. It grows on him in time, though. 

7: What was your Warden’s first impression of Duncan?

Very positive! He liked Duncan from the start and even more so after they met again in the Deep Roads. He looks up to him and even though they don’t get to spend a lot of time together, Duncan sorta becomes a role model for Miloš. Also he accidentally calls him ‘dad’ a couple of times.

Bloop! How about how each of their reactions upon seeing the breach?

Oh! This is interesting, thank you! :D 

Leilani: She never actually sees the breach because she’s somewhere beyond the Hissing Wastes when the conclave explosion happens. Leliana fills her in on what’s going on, but she’s too far away and too caught up with other pressing matters to do anything about it. So her reaction is just… sorta shrugging and moving on. 

Cyrus: He immediately assumes it’s his fault and goes in fight mode, even before finding out Corypheus is involved. Then he stays in fight mode for like two years afterwards. 

Solveig: “Shit. Right. Okay. So we’ll fix it. How difficult could it possibly be?” (More difficult than she expected.) 

Rory: Makes sure Morrigan and Kieran are okay, chugs three vials of lyrium and knocks herself out to enter the Fade. She’s excited about all the new magic possibilities and probably gets her hands on the rift magic research notes before the Inquisitor does.

Miloš: I haven’t decided yet if he survives the Blight or not, but if he does and gets to see the breach, he freaks out for a couple of hours, then finds ways to help those affected, takes in refugees at Vigil’s Keep, gets financial support from Orzammar, etc. Basically builds a smaller Inquisition, minus the parts where they can do anything about the breach lol
