Hi, everyone!

If you're looking for something to do this holiday weekend besides watching Christmas specials, may I suggest binging Zach Stone Is Gonna Be Famous?

It's cringe comedy at its best, imo, and today is the LAST day you can watch it on Netflix!

For that reason, I wanted to share my top 3 episodes of the 2013 MTV show and why I love them:

1. Zach Stone Is Gonna Be an Actor

This is the ONLY episode Bo Burnham wrote himself, and my god is it hysterical and heartbreaking in that way that Bo does so well.

Bonus shout-out to Nelson Franklin playing the student film director. I ADORE him, especially on Veep as Will, the verbally abused underling to Furlong. Nelson is also 6'5 like Bo!

2. Zach Stone Is Gonna Make a Sex Tape

This is probably the funniest all-around episode of the show, and seeing Bo "preparing" himself for sex with Christy (including randomly strumming on a guitar) is a joy to behold.

The Jackson 3! Scotch and Soda! Zach's hands on her ass...so much to love lol.

3. Zach Stone Is Gonna Be Famous (No, Really) and the Pilot

This is a tie because, again, Bo wrote these episodes with fellow cocreator Dan Lagana, and they do SUCH a good job of introducing who Zach is and making you cheer for him by the end of the series.

The Dr. Pepper being warm and Zach talking about 9/11 and Facebook really feel nostalgic now. Remember when our phones looked like that? Haha

Runner-up episodes: The Zachelor (this parody of reality shows is SPOT-ON plus Greg gets a win of sorts lol); Recording Artist (Bo's ringtone songs are all brilliant).

Bonus fun fact: Zach's parents are apparently mirror images of Bo's IRL mom Pattie and dad Scott per Dan in this interview! Crazy 🤯

I had never met Bo's parents and we'd cast these people. And Bo's parents flew into Los Angeles and they came into the writer's room. And it was like...it was remarkable how similar they were in build.

Anyway, I hope this list inspires you to give the show a chance. It's well worth it and a hilarious alternative to the same-old holiday specials!

The nightmares in DAO would be different from each of them and I think personally believe that Vie is the only who can break out of hers just like in game:

Rory Cousland: her perfect dream world is one with her parents still alive and her brother not missing. She’s found playing with her nephew as her family watches on bantering. Kind of like Leliana they beg her not to go but turn on her and attack her immediately afterwards.

Kailan Tabris: It’s not the fact that the wedding happened in her dream but more that she is becoming a vocal leader in the Alienage. Personally I think she’d have to be knocked over the head a good time to break out of it.

Oran and Raven Mahariel: Oran is with Tamlen and Raven talking amongst themselves as the other Dalish interact with others around them. Tamlen has an arm thrown over Raven's shoulders and she’s leaning into him smiling.

Yaviel Amell: Tbqh I think the only thing the demon could come up with IS the grey warden dream in game. There is no other preference. Life with her mother would have been miserable and not lasted as long. The circle was a house but a prison doesn’t a house make. Breaking out of the demons grasp is easy, when you have no dream of your own.

I'm going to go with a fake song: game dynamics aside, if I go full autonomy, Charlie's route would be siding with the mages, taking over the city, declaring it a free city from the Chantry's Circle and welcoming to all mages who wish to join her (emphasis on joining her, you are with her or against her, which ranges from vengeful to victimhood).

Then a series of things happen, but her political opposition, the threat of annexing (which with her actually works), some genuine Chantry threats, and Anders potentially coming to mortal harm in front of her (she can't live with him, she thinks he's a coward and she hates justice, and she most definitely cannot live without him), plus the events of Here Lies the Abyss make her flee and retreat, having to face that all her justifications vanished in the air.

There are, of course, tavern songs -explicit or otherwise- about whom Kirkwallers nicknamed "Bloodlust Carlota" (also Bloody Charlie and Bloodletting Amell - Charlie is a missing child of Revka, not a Hawke). There's this one tavern song that she hates, and it's called "Bloodlust Carlota", and she hates it because it makes her feel like they're making fun of her and humiliating her, and they are. They are, and she can do terrible things to the people who wrote it (but she doesn't know who did) or she could yell or do terrible things to the people who sing it, but then wouldn't they be right?

Why can't they see she tried her hardest? Her best? She did this for good reasons:love her, fill her void, she is so angry, all the time, why did Mama lie, why did Mama die, you're all doing everything wrong and only if she's in power things will be right and good because they will listen to her, or they will LISTEN to her, and no one ever will touch her again.

The thing about Charlie tho is she's the epitome of "cool motive, still murder, unjustified murder". Charlie doesn't care about anyone's freedom. Charlie will lie to herself about anything and everything just to get what she wants, just to justify her actions.

👁️ - what do they fear the most? what mundane fears [spiders, darkness, etc.] do they have?

adam hawke is afraid of the supernatural: ghosts, spirits, etc. He would've had quite the struggle had he been in a Circle and forced to face spirits during his Harrowing. It’s partially because he's so afraid of them that he dislikes Anders (and Merrill) so much, and refuses to deal with Fade stuff more than absolutely necessary.

natasha amell is afraid of being drained of her power. She's never been the target of a templar mana drain but she's been in the proximity of it, and just the sight of a mage brought down like that really messed her up. She's also afraid of intimacy and commitment. 😌

🐾 - if they could be any animal, what would they be? any special reason?

farallon aubraxis: he's too sexy to be anything but a big cat. wary, powerful, more secretive than he lets on... likes to fish.... from a jungle..... gotta be a jaguar.

rori trevelyan: such a horse girl. just the biggest horse girl. she was more sad (at least at first) to leave her horse than her parents when she was sent to the circle. she would be a horse, no question.
