God of War characters playing Mario Kart

Atreus - Plays as Yoshi because he thinks he's just a neat little guy. Will form an alliance with Angrboda to help each other win.

Angrboda - Plays as Tanuki Mario because she loves this little ears. Forms an alliance with Atreus to cover each other on the track. Watch out for her Piranha plant!

Thrud - Plays as Donkey Kong. Always goes for the heaviest vehicles which hinders her speed, but it means she can push the other drivers out of her way.

Skjoldr - Plays as Luigi (their nervous energy matches okay!) Can't drift to save his life but gets really lucky with the item boxes. He spends half the race in a Bullet Bill.

Freya - Plays as Rosalina (because they are both QUEENS). Is terrifyingly accurate throwing green shells, bananas and bombs.

Freyr - Plays as Toad (he likes to do the Toad voice and make other racers laugh). He is the Drift King.

Heimdall - Plays as Waluigi (because they are both grumpy fucks). Is actually insanely good at Mario Kart and spends most of the race in first place. However this means he never gets any good items and gets targeted by blue shell attacks constantly.

Sindri - Plays as Princess Daisy. Is the type to scream out loud when he gets hit in the game. His favourite race track is Baby Park because it's easy.

Brok - Plays as Wario (because of course he does). He throws bombs without looking where and will drive straight into them 2 seconds later. Very creative insults whenever he gets overtaken.

Odin - Plays as Princess Peach. Will only choose the most aesthetically pleasing vehicles, even if it means they are shit.

Thor - Plays as Bowser (because they are both thicc daddies). Was very reluctant to play, but the more he plays, the more fun he has. Will laugh every time he hits someone with a red shell.

Mimir - Plays as Dry Bones. He wins the tournament. He has been playing Mario Kart since the very first game came out. He has decades of experience. He knows it's point based so even if he never comes first in a race, as long as he is consistently near the front, he will get good points.

Sooo like I’m thinking of writing an AU were arranged marriages are common in the God of War universe and maybe Freya is a matchmaker. 

Kratos has given up on love after the death of Faye and is resigned to being alone forever. Atreus pushes his dad into signing up for Freya’s matching services and works together to with Freya to find a match for his dad. Unbeknownst to him she also finds his match in Angrboða 😏. Enter Reader who is lively, independent, and desperately longing for a family. She gets matched with Kratos and let the adventure begin 🤸🏾‍♀️.

Yeah... I’m still working out the kinks but I just want this man to be loved and cherished but I feel like he won’t accept it unless it is forced upon him lol (hence arranged marriage, but who knows 🤷🏾‍♀️).

Anyway, send me some suggestions for this story or any request you may have. I have decided to join the fight in filling the Kratos x Reader tag because there is just not enough stories out there for him. A crime punishable by death if you ask me.

The next game absolutely HAS to be Atreus, Angrboda and Tŷr as their mentor. It HAS to. Kratos can settle down, he's earned it, he's wanted it all along. Two thoughts about God of War

The first is that it's amazing that we have such two well-written games with great character work that released within the past 5 years. A character with a legacy getting treated well by canon is kinda rare. We also got to build new favorites and branch out to new players who may have never interacted with GoW when it was a very game-y action game. Powerful themes about fatherhood, coming of age, learning your place in the world, becoming a better person - all of these are explored in a realistic way, where set-ups exist and payoffs actually happen, instead of just paying lip service to nice ideas.

AND

This game would be significantly shorter if everyone just fucked about it instead of starting a war.
