( important note: this is the first of the two-part mission. the second half of this will be revealed after the deadline for the first part has passed. )

while the last term was a rather stressful time for all of the trainees, this time the mood is different as all of the trainees ( minus the ones in TEAM UNKNOWN ) and a few other people ( KATO ARISA, KIM SOOAH, and YOO HAEMIN ) are gathered in the auditorium. once all of them arrive and take their seats, they see on stage two people that might be familiar to many of them; SEO YOUNGJAE, the head coach, and KWON SOYI, one of the acting coaches. “good morning.” YOUNGJAE greets everyone in a monotone voice. “almost three years ago, legacy announced one of their biggest projects, which was the start of the many groups and artists that we have today. that project is no other than ‘PROJECT ORIGIN - THE BEGINNINGS’, a musical that features some of the idols that you may have heard of; AHN JAESUN, AHN JAEHWA, GEUM DANBI, JEON HARU, LEE JIHO, MIN SOYOUN, OH EUNHYE, and SEO YURA. in the musical, the story is set in an post-apocalyptic future and revolves around the squires who are set to become knights of the holy order and save the world. to celebrate the third anniversary of this musical, LEGACY will be having their second musical production of PROJECT ORIGIN. it’s a bit smaller scale than the original, but the musical will be performed in K-ARTS.”

SOYI speaks up as she discloses some details about the musical, “the musical won’t mirror exactly to the original considering that the characters — or squires as we called them back then, were mostly created with the help of the cast members themselves. that’s why the company has instructed everyone in this room to participate in the intensive musical training schedule we have curated just for all of you. with very little time to prepare for the musical, there’s no time to waste so after this all of you will begin taking classes related to musical acting.”

SOYI then informs all of them that their schedule for the next few weeks will be as follows ( the class listed next to the date represents what they will be concentrating on ):

APRIL 10-15: MUSICAL THEATRE SINGING TECHNIQUES

MAY 1-6: CHARACTERIZATION

during MAY 8-13, everyone participating in this mission ( except HAN NOEUL and anyone in TEAM UNKNOWN ) will be called separately to their audition. in the audition, there will be SEO YOUNGJAE, KWON SOYI, and BAEK GUREUM judging each of the auditions. in the first half of the audition, the individual will be doing a one minute performance showcasing their singing/rapping, dancing, and musical acting abilities. in the second half, one of the three judges will be asking the individual to come up with a character representing their ideal public persona, magical power, and how they would contribute to the story and/or other knights.

( important note: for any trainee muses that join AFTER the deadline of this mission, they will still be participating in the workshops and all, but they will be assigned as part of the ENSEMBLE role instead. )

REQUIREMENTS

MUSICAL ACTING WORKSHOP: write a 4 replies (minimum 8 lines) thread with another muse that is participating in the project origin musical about anything related to the workshops listed above for +10 POINTS TO DISTRIBUTE ANYWHERE !

PROJECT ORIGIN AUDITION: write a 300+ word solo of your muse describing their character to the judges. in the solo, it has to include one magical power that they would have, how their character would be like as a knight, and how they would contribute to the storyline and/or the other knights. completing this will earn you +8 POINTS TO SINGING, DANCING, ACTING, OR PERFORMANCE and +3 NOTORIETY !

LGC Agency gives a sneak peek of the new products for ELYSIUM, TIMEBOX, and SHINE FOREVER

LGC AGENCY’s models, KIM JINSEO, LIM SANGHYUN, and SEO YUMI will be releasing their second campaigns for their respective brands. Based on all of the information gathered, here is a quick summary of each of the brands’ campaigns:

SHINE FOREVER will be releasing a highlighter stick, which is supposed to help enhance your complexion. For their cf, it will feature AGITO’s YUSHIN, FABULA’s APRIL and EUNHYE, and LGC AGENCY’s JINYOUNG. The brand’s representative briefly revealed, “Through the cf, you can see the dynamics the four actors have as they show the audience how to properly use the highlighter.”

ELYSIUM will be releasing five perfumes, all named after the characters in the cf’s story ( APHRODITE, ATHENA, ERIS, HERA, and PARIS ). For their cf, it will feature CRYSTALLIS’ JASMINE, LGC AGENCY’s YEIN, XANDER, and AHYEON, and LGC TRAINEE’s LEE NARI. When asked about the cf’s concept, the brand’s representative didn’t disclose much except that it was a “modern take on a story from greek mythology called the judgment of paris.”

TIMEBOX will be releasing a set of two unisex wristwatches, one in rose gold while the other is in gold. For their cf, it will feature CRYSTALLIS’ ASTRID and LGC AGENCY’s TAI as the romantic leads. The brand representative shared that the cf was an inspiration from the May 14 holiday, Yellow Day/Rose Day.

According to the subsidiary, the first product launch will be on MAY 10 ( SHINE FOREVER ), the second on MAY 12 ( ELYSIUM ), and MAY 14 ( TIMEBOX ). In addition to that, LGC AGENCY announced that they have added a few surprises in store for the fans ranging from short Instagram videos promoting the brand to various LGC celebrities ( AGITO’s JIHO, CRYSTALLIS’ DANBI and YURA, LGC AGENCY’s ALEC, AERI, HANBYUL, JIYEON, and SEHOON, TYPE ZERO’s UNO ) giving their honest reviews on both the cf and products!

I COULDN'T SLEEP

But don't worry I'm good...

Something someone said in the comments this morning about the Federal trade commission triggered a memory over an incident that happened late last year and early this year involving Dispatch, some Korean celebrities and the Korean Fair Trade commission and so I had to go digging👀

Last year, local news outlets accused some known celebrities of backdoor advertising (the same thing JK is being accused of by netizens) and the Fair Trade commission got involved. The celebrities were promoting and endorsing products while not disclosing to the public they had been paid to promote those products.

Think of it like the Kombucha JK drinks in his videos, but only to find out the company that makes the drink has been paying him to promote the drinks but he fails to tell us that and instead goes on endorse the drink and encourage us to buy it too.

The FTC imposed strict regulations and sanctions including up to 2yrs imprisonment and monetary fines for persons who fail to disclose such information to the public knowing full well they are paid to promote such brands.

Apparently, this law passed by Korean authorities influenced western governments and the US to enact and implement Similar policies and laws that requires a YouTuber, celebrity or online person's to disclose similar information.

If I was a tiny bit worried, now my butt is shaking.

"The criticism concerning YouTubers failing to provide sufficient information about paid advertisements was first raised after a local news outlet accused celebrities like fashion stylist Han Hye-yeon and singer Kang Min-kyung of misleading viewers. 

Han was criticized for actively deceiving viewers by repeatedly saying in her videos that she selects and purchases with her money the products that are introduced in her videos. Some YouTubers like Kang and Hamzy were criticized for only stating the paid advertisement status in in the description box on YouTube."

"Young people, especially millennials, are tired of the flourishing advertisements. They tend to harbor strong hostility against items that have overflowing advertisements,” Seo Yong-gu, a professor of business administration at Sookmyung Women’s University, told The Korea Herald. “

"Some experts point to a trend of businesses preferring product placement. Paid product placement, also known as PPL or embedded marketing, is a type of marketing where references to specific products are incorporated into other media works like TV shows and YouTube videos." Or in this case Vlive.

"Some advertisement industry experts see the lack of regulations as a problem. The Fair Trade Commission only recommends YouTubers state the information about paid advertisements. A new regulation to mandate YouTubers provide such information will be applied from September."

If this is the climate in Korea, it behooves anyone to be conscious of the way they carry themselves and do business especially with these product placements and shit.

People won't hesitate to make an example of Jk especially since their privilege is growing every day and becoming apparent. All hell will break loose if and when they are exempted from military service chilee.

I'm don't know what's gonna happen but I'm researching around the topic and digging through bookmarks to see if I can find anything useful that can help us understand this situation better.

Episode 3 --Curiosity kills the cat. Ga On roams around the quiet mansion that belongs to Kang Yohan and is shocked to learn about his dark past.

Ga On gets treated by Yohan, Yohan’s own case gets investigated.

Kim Ga On saved Kang Yo Han from a bombing incident. In return, Kang Yo Han took good care of him. He also let the young judge stay in his house for days to get treated before going back to the court.

Meanwhile, after the unexpected incident in his office, there’s an ongoing investigation taking place and the news are reporting about the shocking bomb going off in a judge’s office goes live on tv. Since the incident, Yohan goes out of the building and reports back to the journalists and reporters that he’s doing alright, also says thanks for the public’s concern. While the investigation is ongoing, Yohan reported that the culprit hasnt been concluded yet and there’s a possibility that its from the other side of the court who became upset with the live show. He promises the public that the live show will still go on despite the cowardly terror act done to him. As he met Sun A at the President’s hallway he describes the incident as something not that grand enough to kill someone but it couldnt be ignored either. It was meant as a warning. Sun A mentions that Yohan has figured it out very quickly.

After facing the press, Soohyun visited Yohan and asks how Gaon is and where he is. Yohan does not disclose his location with a reasonable answer as there could be another attack. Yohan reminds Soohyun as a cop to catch the culprit and to give her his trust to treat Gaon.

While Ga On was personally being treated by Yohan, Yohan sees a old tattoo on his back. Yohan ask what it is and Ga On defended himself mentioning that it was a immature act. He continues to point out that Yohan is an old fart and judges people without really knowing them. While Ga On is in recovery mode, Yohan brings in a substitute judge named Judge Jung Inseok.

Lieutenant Soohyun continuously checks the CCTV. One of her colleagues makes a comment assuming that its not someone from the outside but from the inside. The colleague then thinks that maybe one of the judges has a grudge against him because he’s doing too well. As the day passes, Yohan visits the same man they investigated. He was the person who placed the bomb inside his office. He confessed that someone from the foundation wants it done. Soohyun also gets a call from Ga On. She also finds out that Ga On is resting at Yohan’s place and she gets surprised.

SRF creates Dream Home project for the poor

CSR Foundation’s Chairman makes a huge announcement on the billboard screens of South Korea. Its a Dream Home project that involves free health care and free housing for the poor. He also pleads people for help to make this dream become a reality. All players of this project will hugely benefit from this: The president’s ratings will rise, Chairman Seo doing this for the sake of the greater good, also the Chairmans of People Media Group and Minbo Group’s foreign investments will become alot better.

Yo Han puts Lee Young Min in court

Minister Cha Kyung Hee (Jang Young Nam) was surprised when Kang Yo Han announced who his next defendant would be in the next trial. It was her one and only son, Lee Young Min (Moon Dong Hyeok).

If he places the Minister of Justice’s son on trial, he didn’t care as everyone is equal before the law. To Yohan, everyone is only a defendant. That makes Cha furious. He then makes a final statement and compares them to a dog. Cha also makes sure that there would be no trial. She barges in the President’s office and sees Yohan there talking with him. Yohan tells her that they should separate personal and work feelings. As Yohan put it being the case should not be ignored, the President talks about the case to Cha and SunA. He says that there’s a petition with the topic of finding out who’s behind the attack against Judge Kang. A million has signed it and if they mess with Yohan, they mess with the people. Cha gives her statement that she will take care of it as she understands why the government cannot interfere.

We’re also informed that Youngmin has a anger management issue. He also had a case with a restaurant by attacking the staffs due to his car parking.

Youngmin’s trial

The trial starts and Judge Yohan informs the audience that Ga On is in recovery and warns them that someone is stopping them with this trial and it’s only the public who has the right to do so. The trial’s subject is introduced: The defendant has committed verbal and physical assault against 3 people: server, chef and a part time staff. There’s staff members who has settled but there’s 1 who hasn’t and Yohan has pointed that out to the prosecutor. The witness is revealed as Kim Sunghoon. Sunghoon came to the stand and confessed that he doesnt want the defendant to be punished. He also looks apprehensive saying his statement.

Yohan commented that he made a petition many times to the court to severely punish the defendant. So why did he change his mind now? He says that he wanted to end it all. Flashback of the owner informing him that the building where the restaurant is located is being sold. The building has been sold to a company. Could it be Youngmin’s company? They’re also going to tear it down and the lot would be left empty. Then once their contract is up theyll leave. Witness also added that he didnt get severely injured so he just let it slide. The prosecutors decided to force withdrawal to all charges,which made Ga On pissed (especially after the car incident he saw previously). Lee also asked permission from Judge Yohan if he could speak, he bowed and apologized (insincerely) to the witness which made the crowd uproar.  Ga On knows its fake especially after that car accident he saw of him driving madly. The same kind of insincere bow was made. Judge Yohan observes that something is off. He then pointed out on cases where the same crime has been constantly repeated. Yohan asked the prosecutor how many times did the defendant assaulted someone and settled. Judge Oh mentioned that he did it 12 times in total.

Yohan asked the audience if Lee’s face seemed familiar and the crew production zoomed in on his face. Yohan added that the audience can send a video to the court (someone can send in a evidence for the case). Then the poor man from the last ep that got assaulted by Lee is shown watching the live court show on a tv while working. A videocall comes in and its a woman who works as parttime at a department store parking lot. She tells a story of how he kept complaining about congestion and kicked an attendant. The store she works at tells her to let it go because he’s a VVIP costumer. Then another videocall comes in. A restaurant staff mentions that he’s a regular at their place. He complaints how Lee beats someone everytime he visits. More videocalls come in from different witnesses. Ga On watching from the mansion thinks if this is the reason why he wants the court to be a live show. For more witnesses.

The case is resulted to habitual assault. The trial will also continue and the first witness’ case will also be put onto trial.

Ga On gets curious about Yo Han's life

Days after the incident, Ga On started to recover from the wounds.He starts to get bored staying all day in Kang Yo Han's room and roamed around the big mansion.

He got curious about the locked door in the middle of the hallway. He was determined to open, then the nanny opened it without knowing that he’s sneaking at the corner.

The lady entered the room but forgot to close the wooden door, Kim Ga On was quick to sneak in and became more puzzled by what he saw.

The nanny was talking to a portrait in front of her and kept mentioning about the man named Isaac. According to her, Isaac was the real owner of the mansion and not Yohan. This gave Ga On more hints about Kang Yo Han's real identity.

Then, Ga On trespassed one of the rooms inside the mansion after the live court and accidentally found Yo Han's old room, located in the basement. He found a photo of a man who resembles him. Suddenly, the nanny got inside and mentioned about Kang Yo Han's past life.

Ga On was shocked about the revelation that Yohan was adopted and abused by Isaac's father. Yohan also lived at the mansion’s basement. He is a abandoned child. The nanny also mentioned how Ga On resembles Isaac alot. Flashback of Isaac taking care of Yohan and giving him legal related books. Ga On thinks that the nanny suspects Yohan killing Isaac, which makes him become the heir. Goes to show back then that Yohan is capable of doing something terrible. The nanny gave out examples of him doing those terrible deeds. She also added that Yohan is a survivor of a fire accident and it happened 1 month after the Chairman died, Isaac also died from that incident.

With the new information he got from the nanny, Ga On became more interested about Yohan.

The Asano Graduation Album Info-Dump

It seems like there’s bits of information from the Graduation Album floating around on Tumblr and elsewhere. It’s hard to tell which pieces have been mentioned already, so I figured I’d translate all the pages related to the Asanos and stick it in one post. Compared to the first data book, there’s much less regurgitation of info from the manga, plus I thought Matsui’s word choices in his descriptions of them were pretty interesting (“He shines like a star”... really Matsui?), so it seems reasonable just to give you all the whole text! It’s still a sizable amount of text though, so it’s entirely possible that there could be a few errors .w.

I numbered the sections so that you can see which part from each page I’m translating since there’s pictures that go along with some of the text.

Section 1: The Members of the Asano Household

Father: Chairman of Kunugigaoka

He’s an only child. He’s worried about his hair because his mother’s younger brother went bald at a young age.

Section 1: The untiring investigator who rules over Kunugigaoka Academy

Student council president Asano Gakushuu’s father and Chairman of Kunugigaoka. In the past, he had opened a private school in the old school building, but one of his students took his own life because of distress caused by bullying. With this, he began pursuing “strength” and opened Kunugigaoka Academy.  He established the Class-E system using the former school building as a warning to helpless students.

Section 2:

The duel against Korosensei where everything was disclosed. After that, their relationship became one where Gakuho would sometimes visit the old school building to have tea together.

Section 3: Asano Gakuho’s hidden side!!

When Gakuho begins talking about his son, it becomes impossible for him to stop. It’s surprising, but is he one of those doting parents…!?

Section 4: Private School-Era Chairman

With an education style centered on discovering and taking on the “good” of each student, no matter what kind, he was exceedingly similar to Korosensei.

Section 6: Private school students

Nagai: His spirit is weak, but he is a diligent, bespectacled student. He hates to exercise, but he remembers he ought to. Out of the three students in Gakuho’s first graduating class, his grades were the best.

Mori: A bright girl who cares for others. She was once hospitalized while attending the cram school, but she recovered and entered a high-level middle school. She’s good at grasping the essentials, so she leaves behind good results.

Ikeda: A basketball loving young boy who has his worth in his energy.  After being bullied by a nasty senior in his middle school basketball club, he chose to take his own life.

Page 3 - Personal Histories

Gakushuu’s Career Track:

Kunugigaoka Middle School-> Kunugigaoka High School-> MIT (Earned an MBA there so that he would have all he needed to start a business) -> Started a business in Silicon Valley

Starting his first year in high school, he laid out his system of governance and was able to rule over all the students except Karma. They graduated with violent sparks between them. As an overseas student at MIT, he managed to rule perfectly. Using his connections everywhere, he took along the most talented people he knew and has taken the lead at Silicon Valley.

Gakuho’s Career Track:

Resigned from his position as Kunugigaoka Academy’s Chairman -> Opened Asano Cram School (concurrently holds the positions of manager, office worker, and lecturer)  

He opened a new private school. After being released from his shackles, he has been enjoying a peaceful living as an educator…not. Rather, in the end, stories have been dropping in one after another about big projects he’s been doing without any hesitation. He just shines like a star. He’s currently scouting Nagisa.

 I believe that’s all the info on them in the Graduation Album. Hopefully, I’ll spot more facts about them in the data book, but this might be the end of the Asano-specific information…Time for headcannons :D

Ferrazzi talks about typical team dynamics which generally consist of groups of siloed individuals with some overlap and who occasionally collaborate — but are usually simply coexisting. Leaders, then, assume responsibility and play whack-a-mole to address challenges. But to succeed, Ferrazzi explains, leaders should disperse responsibility, moving it from themselves and onto the team. Team members that lift each other up and care about each other succeed together. 

This “co-elevation” of teams involves changed behaviors and mindsets, but acting your way into a new way of thinking is more effective than thinking your way into a new way of acting, Ferrazzi says.

Ferrazzi suggests shifting to co-elevation by adopting the eight attributes of high-performing teams he details in his new book. Among them: 

Empathy, by starting meetings with “sweet and sour,” in which each team member discloses how they’re doing, to nurture the team’s growth in serving, sharing and caring

Courage and candor, for which Ferrazzi advises leaders to use breakout sessions of only three team members each during larger virtual meetings to provide psychological safety and spur innovation

Celebration and praise, adopting a weekly meeting agenda item for each team member to identify someone within the company for whom they are grateful 

Ferrazzi also talks about the current remote work environment as an opportunity to reboot and “recontract” teams, considering this as a time not to go back to work, but to go forward to work with a commitment to collaboration and co-creation.

Ferrazzi talks about typical team dynamics which generally consist of groups of siloed individuals with some overlap and who occasionally collaborate — but are usually simply coexisting. Leaders, then, assume responsibility and play whack-a-mole to address challenges. But to succeed, Ferrazzi explains, leaders should disperse responsibility, moving it from themselves and onto the team. Team members that lift each other up and care about each other succeed together. 

This “co-elevation” of teams involves changed behaviors and mindsets, but acting your way into a new way of thinking is more effective than thinking your way into a new way of acting, Ferrazzi says.

Ferrazzi suggests shifting to co-elevation by adopting the eight attributes of high-performing teams he details in his new book. Among them: 

Empathy, by starting meetings with “sweet and sour,” in which each team member discloses how they’re doing, to nurture the team’s growth in serving, sharing and caring

Courage and candor, for which Ferrazzi advises leaders to use breakout sessions of only three team members each during larger virtual meetings to provide psychological safety and spur innovation

Celebration and praise, adopting a weekly meeting agenda item for each team member to identify someone within the company for whom they are grateful 

Ferrazzi also talks about the current remote work environment as an opportunity to reboot and “recontract” teams, considering this as a time not to go back to work, but to go forward to work with a commitment to collaboration and co-creation.

on JULY 5, SEO YEWON gathers all of the CRYSTALLIS members in a practice room. with DANBI’s departure, it’s left the manager in a state of distress as the company and YEWON find a way to handle their future projects and activities.

NEW MEMBERS, NEW ARRANGEMENT

once all of the CRYSTALLIS members were present, they heard a knock on the door. initially seeing NAHEE and EUNJO entering the practice room together, they’re met with the first surprise as they’re accompanied by two other girls, KIM YUJIN and LIU YUXI. YEWON begins the meeting as she allows them to stand next to her, “while i’m still sad over DANBI’s departure and the effect it has on the group, the higher-ups have suggested that these two, who were once a part of another project called TEAM UNKNOWN, will be joining us. please make sure to welcome and assist them with everything that i’m about to disclose.”

with CRYSTALLIS now being an 8 member group, this meant that the room arrangements will be changed, but they will still be staying in the same dorms. the arrangement is as follows:

ROOM A: GONG HYEJOO, LIU YUXI, MIN SOYOUN, MOON SOMIN

ROOM B: AHN JAEHWA, KIM YUJIN, SEO YURA, YAMASHITA ICHIKA

SPECIALIZED TRAINING

“while i’m glad that many of you have been working on several skills, some to help with your solo gigs, the coaches have been a bit concerned about some of you and your performance abilities. at first, i didn’t want to bring it up because i thought it was best to capitalize on all of the solo activities we’ve been given but…” YEWON pauses, recalling the previous meeting she had with the higher-ups and how she felt afterwards. “as many of you were busy with your activities, FABULA has been improving greatly with their performances and NOVA will be setting those expectations high too once they debut. because of this, it puts pressure on us and we don’t want to be considered the group that hasn’t improved much since then. thus i have asked the coaches to give all of you specialized training to work on specific skills. some of you might not be familiar with YUJIN and YUXI’s talents during future dreams but to be frank, these two have the potential to take some of the group positions that you currently have. if you want to keep those roles, we expect you to work even harder during this time.”

YEWON then proceeds to explain that some of the girls ( JAEHWA, SOYOUN, and YURA ) are at a good place skill set wise so they will not be required to partake in all of the workshops and practices that CRYSTALLIS will be undergoing during this term. HOWEVER, they will still attend them occasionally to help with the group’s performances overall. YEWON will reveal as well the skills that the remaining girls will be required to focus on during this term ( and all of the points that they will get during the specialized training will be distributed to the skills mentioned ):

“and speaking of group positions,” YEWON pauses as she turns her head towards ICHIKA. “we’ve listened to the higher-ups, managers, and DANBI’s suggestions but given the circumstances, the majority has agreed that you will now be the leader of CRYSTALLIS. congratulations on your newly appointed title.”  all of the managers clapped to congratulate the good news, but it didn’t last long because YEWON had more information to go through.

CRYSTALLIS COMEBACK

“here are the details regarding the korean comeback, which is slated for AUGUST 20. promotions for this will be two weeks long because amidst preparing for this, you will be practicing for your upcoming concert AND lgc family’s 2k23 concert too.” YEWON glosses through the comeback at first as she allows EUNJO and NAHEE to distribute the files to the rest of the girls.

there are two specific points in the album list that catch their attention and YEWON brings it up first before any of them could ask. “the lgc creatives team unanimously agreed that for our first sub-unit song it will be GONG HYEJOO, MOON SOMIN, and SEO YURA. these three will form CRYSTALLIS CITRINE to reflect the concept and song.”

for the album, CRYSTALLIS CITRINE will be releasing the ENGLISH version but for their future activities ( ex. concert ), they will be performing both the ENGLISH and KOREAN versions depending on locations.

“secondly,” YEWON lets out a sigh knowing what she’s about to say is related to something she had pointed out earlier. “you may notice that there’s a song called ‘would you run ( crystallis ver. )’. i spoke to the head manager of the lgc creatives team, REO KANGDAE, and supposedly the producer behind the song had two versions of the song — crystallis version and fabula version. the team debated quite a bit over which group would have this song but after talking to some of the higher-ups they chose to release the two versions for each of the groups’ comebacks. the company is planning on framing this as part of the lgc webtoon lore in that CRYSTALLIS and FABULA were a part of lgc girls. but personally, i’m starting to wonder if they want to see which of the two groups is popular with the general public…”

even though CRYSTALLIS’ comeback will be happening before the term, the group positions will not be finalized until after Q3.

CRYSTALLIS CONCERT TOUR

“as requested by many fans, CRYSTALLIS will be having their first asia concert tour. in preparation for this, all of you will be practicing all of the CRYSTALLIS songs that have been released so far. in the case of YUJIN and YUXI, because they have been recently added to the group, we expect all of the members to help them learn those songs in the next couple of weeks on top of the august comeback. this does leave all of you with very little free time outside of it, so do take this time to help each other when you can.”

the concert tour will last between Q3 and Q4, so information for their Q4 will be happening during the tour. here are all of the places that they will be going to along with the corresponding dates:

the girls will also be filming various videos for the fans. one of the segments they’ll be doing is called ‘LOVE LETTER’ ( as a reference to their second mini-album with the same name ). during this segment, the girls will be asked to write two letters; one to a member assigned to them and the other is for their fans, alize. the videos will film snippets of them writing, decorating, and reading the letter. when they’re done, they will be putting their letter in a mailbox similar to their fan color. for the letters written to each other, they will have a separate segment where the receiver must guess who the sender is.

since crystallis comeback will be the same day as JAEHWA’s birthday, right before the comeback showcase, NAHEE and EUNJO will help the rest of the CRYSTALLIS members set up the birthday cake surprise. YEWON will call for JAEHWA separately to talk about her individual schedule for ‘18 AGAIN’ and stall for some time. when she’s done, she’ll escort JAEHWA back to the dressing rooms where she’ll be met with the birthday surprise!

in addition to that, YEWON will invite JAEHWA to have a youtube livestream later that day to interact with the fans. this portion will be done in the dorms at night and will last around 30 minutes due to the schedules the group will be having the following day.

As the title says, this is a continuation of this post, in which are featured five out of the ten muses of this blog. (Number may grow in the future.) Not much else to say!

POSSIBLE TRIGGER WARNING FOR MENTIONS OF MENTAL ILLNESS, EMOTIONAL & MENTAL ABUSE, AND IN GENERAL COPIOUS AMOUNTS OF SELF-LOATHING. Nothing except the latter goes much in detail. Enjoy!

Fujunko, I’d say, has a very normal situation. While she did grow up bullied and isolated from others due to her family situation, she has always been a strong child because of her grandmother’s support. She thinks of herself as pretty okay, average even, and truth be told she lacks a proper conception and opinion of herself because she is always more focused on what she does, rather than who she is. Fujunko is modest and humble, and is aware of her faults and that she should fix them. The prospect of that doesn’t weigh for her, it instead fuels her determination further because she knows she’ll be an even better person once she might succeed. Perhaps the only thing she is a little self-conscious about is her sexuality, or more specifically the fact that she has always lived in an environment that is full of sexualization as well as other things related to sex. For example, not many people know she lives in Kabukicho because she is well aware of that district’s reputation. Along with that, even without having visitors coming over, she prepared a special spot where to hide her hentai manga and porn magazines. Fujunko is conscious of her sexuality and how active her libido is, and she’s not truly ashamed of it---perhaps it’s more of a situation where she would rather not risk looking like a complete pervert. Being degraded to just that would be greatly inconveniencing.

Min-Seo defines her self-worth based on others’ opinions. Ever since she was young, she has always been influenced by the judgement of others, the prime example being her own parents. Self-made people that base one’s worth through what they can achieve and how they can handle business: from the very start Min-Seo was expected to fit in that archetype as well, she was pampered and educated to retain that mindset much like her father and her mother. The moment Min-Seo decided to direct herself towards something less academic, but rather more artistic (cooking isn’t exactly seen as something material, in her family) they turned their backs on her. Maybe she could’ve been able to pass not too unscathed had they just done that. Instead they decided to stick their fingers and salt into the wounds, considering Min-Seo is not a hard read: it’s obvious how she constantly craves approval from others, no matter about what. Her parents were disappointed, and decided to make her understand to what extent they felt hurt. Victims of a crime she never committed in first place. She thinks that acting according to her own personality and morals is wrong in itself. A lot of times Min-Seo doubts her actions, questions her worth, wonders about her existence in itself. The weight that her parents’ expectations have on her back is far too much for her to handle without breaking. Min-Seo can persevere, but one thing is for sure: she will forever be scarred by her own lack of assertiveness. This is her conviction. The way she constantly puts herself down for every little thing may come across as attention-seeking, and it wouldn’t be wrong to think so. In a way, she is craving of attention and validation, even though she constantly denies so if directly asked. She wants to be looked at for who she is, but she is too scared to disappoint others in doing it. Thus, she is content with superficial reassurances and compliments---they satisfy, even if a little, her need for that bit of positivity while not digging in too deep. Because who likes a loser that’s constantly fretting over the future and her own identity?

Marzanna is another complex case, mostly due to the fact that her ego made, for the most part, an incredible shift. Its timeline can be divided very neatly: pre-Nev, the time previous to her “punishment”; and post-Nev, the time spent living in the human world with her reborn appearance, which she dons to this day. It wasn’t exactly a drastic change, as it came gradually with its own time, but the differences between before and after are rather striking. Impressive as they are quite scary. However, as a deity, Marzanna will always retain a sense of superiority. Obviously, pre-Nev she was much more cruel, merciless, violent---a goddess of Death and Winter true to her name. But going along with the myths, even then she possessed a very intricate personality due to her double-nature as a goddess of Harvest and Rebirth. You could say she played “both parts”, even if her nature was still prevalently more inclined to be the vicious Marzanna all humans worshipping her cult feared. That respect and terror in her regards constantly fuelled her ego and pride, hence why she rarely took kindly to those who critiqued her ways and manners (which were basically non-existent). After all the whereabouts in the Underworld, there was a change. Marzanna, the first time she came out of her “cocoon”, did not seem like Marzanna at all. Though it took her time to settle comfortably in her new body and her new life amongst humans, she managed to prove not only to Veles and Perun, but also to herself, that she was capable of being better. Of real emotions other than bitterness, anger, and spite. Marzanna became humble, she felt humble, and wanted to be kind to others without expecting anything in return. This doesn’t mean that she forgot who she was and what she did---Marzanna remembers everything very clearly. And, an important note, is that her “rebirth” did not erase the being she was before. Marzanna is gentle---but she still is prideful, she still can be fearsome, she, of her own will, can hurt others to her liking. The difference is that now her patience is much broader and more difficult to abuse of, seeing as she has learned how to properly control herself. If you bring into discussion the matter of self-worth, though, Marzanna will state with confidence that she doesn’t think of herself as neither too worthless, nor worthy. She is right in the middle. She would be telling the truth. There are certain things she is especially self-deprecating about, such as Jarilo and Vesna and her past wrongdoings, but they don’t feel so heavy that she needs to chastise herself because of them. Rather, she believes acknowledging them will help in avoiding further mistakes that may bring to those very same terrible choices. So, in short, Marzanna has decent self-esteem, and considers herself not exactly the best person, whilst not belittling her own efforts. She strongly believes in self-improvement, and despite not liking enjoying the memories about the things she has done and said, she doesn’t deny having acted upon them out of her own free will. While she is kind around humans, she still retains a bit of sense of condescending superiority, as perhaps remnant of her once-fiery pride. She’s not the kind to abuse of her nature, however, preferring to conceal it.

Annaliese is confident, it’s not difficult to tell. Although her past is rather bizarre---between neglectful, bigoted parents, a difficult life in the orphanage and a quite null life before the one in the convent---she seems to have come unscathed out of most of her experiences. In fact, one could even dare say that no matter how bad a thing could be, she will make the best of it and treasure the good part of her experience. Annaliese is a simple woman with a rather picky mind, because while she does not necessarily forget the horrible things said and done to her, they don’t affect her. They literally wash off as easily as rain. Is it in her nature to be so simply careless? Most’s insecurities (at least in the case of this blog) stem from the fear of other’s judgement and opinions, and they can augment following more events worth of a great shock or a trauma. For some reason, this does not apply to Annaliese---she has a stable view of herself, which is nor exceedingly high nor stratospherically low. It could be her airheadness playing a part as well, considering she’s not too aware of her own flaws and faults: but when met with confrontation about them, as long as it’s reasonable, she is willing to listen (hoping the other party will be kind enough as to explain properly what they mean). Annaliese considers hostile approaches annoying and useless to deal with, and perhaps this way of “shrugging them off” came with the stern teachings of the orphanage she grew up in, which was handled by the clergy. It is very stereotypical, and mostly true, for religious people to be obstinately stubborn about their beliefs. This could apply to Annaliese, who is outright unwilling to communicate with someone who is not able to take on a calmer attitude. Annaliese thinks of herself as decent, and doesn’t really take to mind her flaws nor her merits. She almost only acts on instinct, meaning she doesn’t use her head all that much. This means any ill judgement is typically rejected without batting an eye, and without giving thought to it---almost as if it was never heard in first place. This also means that if she feels unjustly attacked, she will act upon personal pride to try and defend herself.

Momoko is... complex. That, in itself, is not the correct word to describe her situation with self-esteem. Let’s start with the fact that Momoko has a very distorted view on many things, varying from common knowledge to specific psychological matters such as love, affection. She also has a very hard time dealing with what’s real and what’s not, as she constantly lives in a hazy and confused status that’s constantly oscillating between reality and hallucinations. It’s enough of an example to mention how her dreams, as described by her, almost exactly resemble her daily life. Sometimes, her brain---high on medications---creates hallucinations out of nowhere, be it auditory, sensory, or visual. Momoko lives her life constantly on edge because of this. To understand exactly why she ended up living in this perpetual state of uncertainty about what’s real and what not, you’d have to know what happened in her past. Considering that, as of now, it’s for the most part concealed and vague, we’ll try to explain without having to necessarily explore that specific aspect. As a first, Momoko thinks mostly two things about herself: “I’m a miserable piece of shit” and “But at least I’m better than the cockroaches”. She considers herself a despicable, lowly being, without a doubt. But at the same time she contradicts her own belief, by stating that she is superior in comparison to what she calls “cockroaches”. It’s a rather interesting paradox, as well as huge. She hates herself whilst not truly hating herself---confused as her own perception of reality is. Momoko judges others for anything simply because she can, and because she doesn’t feel the need to repress hostile and rude thoughts. It took her some time, and a lot of pressure from her medics, to understand that it’d be best if she kept comments to herself---but when she’s alone, or in a scarcely populated area, she doesn’t refrain from commenting under her breath any and all evil things she can think of. It’s efficient for distancing others from approaching her, is her conscious thought. Subconsciously, she is feeding her own ego, which is dramatically starving for some sort of validation. Momoko feeds her own self-esteem however she can, and since only anger runs through her veins, she will fuel her confidence with hatred towards others. Acting out based on her impulses and pleasures (such as hurting small living beings and being a disturbingly active member of the darknet community) doesn’t truly feed into this illusion of hers, it’s useful to fulfill a sense of utility. Momoko is conscious and makes use of her own intelligence, despite the fact that it doesn’t make her feel good about herself. Her own self-worth isn’t based on her skills. Then if her pride is based on her hatred towards others---the “cockroaches”, as she calls them (though it’s not exclusive to other people); what is her self-loathing based on? A very good question. The most clear-cut answer is her unveiled past, of course, and the events that occurred in her middle-school years. But since we cannot explore that part of her timeline yet, a possible answer could be... her self-consciousness. Momoko has never been particularly subject to bullying---nor to others’ judgement.
