Lately I am in the mood for very simple und mindless knits. So I decided to cast on another ABIES beanie in this gorgeous color that reminds me of the Mediterranean Sea! 🌊🧶 ABIES is a pattern that I published in February 2021. It features a lovely stylized fir tree cable motiv - hence the name - that is alternated with classic 2/2 cables merging into a star shape at the crown. Worked with 7mm needles this is a quick and rewarding knit. Picking up a long forgotten wip. I started working on this lace weight number months ago, but it got shelved as Christmas/warmer items took priority. Giving it a bit of love and attention again. I want a nice, simple floaty throw over cardi for summer evenings, so this will be a sea of stocking stitch. I’ve found a little of my knitting mojo again recently. Making a blanket that a relatively mindless knit. Not sure if I’ll keep it or gift it yet, I’m just making it to be making something, anything. I’ll just keep going until i run out of yarn. Happy Monday everyone! 💕 I am still working on my new shawl and I love how the three colors play together. In the last week it was very quiet around here. I had a bad cold and was off work, but now I am back! 😊 Thanks for bearing with me! For some days I did mostly sleep and could not knit at all. And when I was able to pick up the needles again, I wanted to work on something that did not involve a lot of thinking. I really needed a mindless knit. 🧶 Since I saw my testers bring so many beautiful Boughs of Holly Sweater #boughsOfHollySweater to life and since I gifted mine to a very dear friend, I decided to cast on another one for myself. And I am SO glad I did.
