aragorn's terrible, horrible, no good, very bad week:
the fellowship breaks on his watch
forced to choose who to follow
runs over 200 kilometers in under four days
thinks merry and pippin are dead
meets the reborn gandalf (a rare win), immediately has to do a 180 and ride to edoras
immediately after that needs to ride to battle
takes part in a battle which takes place over the whole night
gets maybe 20 hours of sleep over the course of the whole week
and, I cannot stress this enough, this is all still very far from over

@lotr20 | Day 6
↳ Healing: Aragorn in the Houses of Healing
Aragorn went first to Faramir, and then to the Lady Éowyn, and last to Merry. When he had looked on the faces of the sick and seen their hurts he sighed. 'Here I must put forth all such power and skill as is given to me,' he said. 'Would that Elrond were here, for he is the eldest of all our race, and has the greater power.'

Many of you are too young to remember, but back in 2001, when Fellowship of the Ring first came out, they literally had to put out a statement saying "no, we didn't cgi Frodo's eyes, Elijah Wood is just Like That."

one of the top 10 peter jackson's creative choices was seeing the one (1) sentence about the beacons being lit in RotK and going "I'm going to film a scene that is so absolutely iconic based on this"
